  2. I always forget what a lot of the buttons do but I'll probably have to re-learn a lot of the crafting mechanics 🙂

    Coronavirus

140,000 at Silverstone today and people being pinged so much that companies and critical local services are being forced to shut down because they don't have the staff to operate. Oh well, at least people got to watch noisy cars whiz past them in the unbearable heat after paying £385... It's amazing how sports have suddenly become immune to Covid yet if I walk past someone who was recently in contact with someone who suspected to have covid, I have to stay insidee for 10 days.

  5. Oh go fuck yourselves Ubisoft! Tom Clancy must be turning in his grave seeing his name used in such a tacky and tasteless way. XDefiant is basically Ubisoft's answer to Call of Duty being a 6v6 deathmatch-based game. It's free to play and looks absolute trash. If this is a sign of things to come with Ubisoft's new 'Originals' strategy of free games then it'll be the death of them and good riddance. Their last F2P shooter Hyper Scape was dead after a couple of weeks and this will probably go the same way. Meanwhile the community are gagging for a new Splinter Cell and have been for over a decade now..

  6. ubisoft to splinter cell fans: oh you wanted a new sneaky splinter cell with great levels, varied ways to tackle each objective, many tools etc, you know what the name is known for? XD they aren't even trying to hide their trolling and how little they care about it

  10. Newcastle fans have started already - they lost 1-0 to Conference North side York City with their first team in a friendly and already 'Bruce out' chants and relegation talk have begun😂

  11. I was struggling with both the keyboard controls and the crafting, lol. I was hitting the jackpot with food but died to zombies each time. I wasn't in the DayZ mindset. Gotta be in the right mind to survive.

  12. No auto turrets in DayZ, that's more Rust and its crazy nonstop pvp. DayZ is a bit more focused on the survival mechanics, which I admit can include human interaction. And it is the fear that human interaction can elicit that kind of makes DayZ what it is. Is this player friendly or will they kill me on sight, or just rob me? Eating and drinking is a big thing, as is staying clear of cholera and zed infections. You can craft most of what you need to, so it's also possible just to live in the forests too without need of going to a town. So you get an idea of how I approach DayZ I'll set out how I tend to play. Spawn a new character at the coast. Find my way to a town initially to loot food and equipment. And weapons. Head into the map, looting farm buildings etc as I go Look for abandoned military camp to pick up better weapons. Establish a base, usually hiding it as best I can. Make the base a home. All of this while avoiding zeds, bears, wolves and humans. Can also find parts to to repair cars and trucks to travel around in. Go to the airfields to find a helicopter and interactions here tend to be of the murderous nature. The type of server will often determine a lot of your experience. Some are friendly, some are specifically pvp kos, some are role play where there are rules about killing and robbing etc Some servers make you start with gear, some equip you with nothing. The best map to start on is Chernarus or these days the modded Chernarusplus. I had a brief meet up with @TurboR56Mini but he had to run off so nice to have you on board too 🙂

    DayZ - the return

@TurboR56Mini DLed the game while I was out and about on Saturday... so, I think I will as well. Although part of me just sees the aesthetic of Fallout 4... and I've built many obnoxious bases that have the ability to kill anything before it gets inside (laser turrets everywhere) that I might still be a bit weary on it lol. Let's see. 🙂

    Coronavirus

What an embarrassment PM and chancellor U-turn: They now say they will isolate after uproar over 'stupid' plan to avoid staying home NEWS.SKY.COM Downing Street had said Mr Johnson and Mr Sunak will be taking in a pilot scheme whereby they will be tested daily and so do not have to quarantine - but that plan has now been scrapped. Basically Johnson and Sunak tried to get out of mandatory Isolation by creating this seemingly overnight 'pilot scheme' where they didn't have to isolate for 10 days because of regular internal testing yet the normal public have to isolate for 10 days no matter what. Another example of one rule for them as and when they please and another for everyone else. Third wave peak expected in late August and there doesn't exactly seem to be much fanfare regarding freedom day tomorrow or any concrete information regarding that either. They are basically just making up shit as they go along whereas other countries are now making moves on bringing back some restrictions and curfews.

  16. Had a blast, cheers guys! Had some great battles with @Lurch and @crispymorgan , can see it being a tough season! I definitely need to get more race practice in, bottled it on a few occasions when coming close to others, particularly a big torpedo into James on the second race...

  17. I think Spurs and Arsenal may very well struggle this year - they still have good players capable of achieving a top 7 but there really doesn't seem to be any significant signings or any real confidence in the management. Both clubs have a lot of deadwood and don't have the resources to make any sweeping changes. With either not being involved in the flagship European competitions (UEFA Conference League doesn't count) is actually a major blow to income because it affects how much you can spend in-line with the fair play rules. That's why Arsenal are still paying minuscule monthly fees and bank loans on players bought 2 years ago because they cannot pay in a lump sum, not because they can't afford it but because they will break the rules because their income is too low. Hopefully Spurs will be able to find some of their old form now they are away from Jose but I'm not sure if Nuno is the answer. Teams like Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool are just so far ahead it's ridiculous and others like Leicester have a far better foundation and financial basis to work from going forward. Europa League should be the target for both Arsenal and Spurs because it'll at least provide that crucial bit of income - neither club will want to end up middle of the road like Burnley, Wolves or Brighton.
