Sometimes I feel like the internet is nothing but a means for assholes to spread their assholeness to a much broader audience. Case in point- Last week I sold GTA5 on Ebay, I finished the game and really only care for the story mode so figured I'd give someone else a chance to own if rather than it sitting unused in my rack. So I sold it last week on Ebay. First off I have been on Ebay for 10 years, have 100% positive feedback on 840 transactions (in other words I am a responsible and honest buyer/seller). The winning "bidder" on my auction just joined Ebay 3 days before winning my auction and has ZERO feedback. They bid on the auction right at the end and won it. Then 3 days go by without payment. I send a 2nd invoice, still no payment after 4 days so I file a case/non paying bidder with Ebay. Then 6 days after winning the "buyer" sends me a message saying to cancel the transaction because their game system broke. Okay wait a minute, lets use logic here, they are trying to tell me their game system broke in the 1 hour between them placing the bid and the auction ending? I don't think so. So I reply back to them in a polite manner telling them they need to pay for what they won because the auction has ended and its been a week so the other bids I had are now useless since this person won and has not paid for a weeks time. I get a reply back. First of all this person is either 1)- An immature kid, or 2) - Adult that is completely ignorant and has no education what so ever. Because there is ZERO punctuation, zero grammar, misspelled words all over, and the usage of terms is totally incorrect. Here are the few messages between myself and this mental giant today. The quoted ones are the "buyers" replies. (keep in mind this is a week after they won the auction and have not paid. I can not just cancel this, Ebay does not work that way. You bought this a week ago, not only does it cost me selling fee's on Ebay but other people bid and you outbid all the others so now I can not even offer it to the other bidders since they have obviously already bid and won others for themselves. If you did not plan on paying then you should not have bid, You need to be responsible for what you won and finish the transaction you entered into. First off READ the rules of Ebay. When you place a bid it is a binding contract because when you win an auction it means the other bids of the other people are now useless. Plus the only way I get reimbursed on the fee's ebay charged me is to open a Non paying bidder case with ebay, then wait 4 days, then after they have reimbursed me THEN I can relist it. I can not just cancel after the auction ends or I lose my fee's I paid. But that still means you have negated the other bids I had so I now have to go back through bidding again. I find it very funny that you are saying you will report me?? You are in fact a NON PAYING BIDDER yet you feel you are going to report me for something? Be my guest, because when you tell Ebay that you won an auction then did not pay they will in fact give you a "strike" because I have done nothing to you but ask you to follow through with your responsibilities with what you agreed upon by placing the bid/winning the auction. BTW the issue was already reported by me to ebay 2 days ago. And I will be following up with them. I did not bother replying back again to this obvious moron. I simply reported him for a 2nd time to ebay, this time for using foul language as well as being a non paying bidder. I tell ya people that act like this online are nothing but cowards, because if this person actually saw me in person I would bet they would be singing a different tune than saying "fuck you" because I would twist this idiot into a knot and drop kick him through the uprights of asskickingville!

I bet people like that wouldn't dream of behaving in that manner face to face. It's only because they are hidden anonymously behind their fucking keyboard that they think they can act like the big I am. The internet has really crippled society in so many ways that I find too much of it intolerable.

Boro makes it sound like it might not be worth it, but personally i hope this kid gets dinged for his shitty behavior, even if it's only on his ebay profile, and not, you know, his stupid face. if there's no accountability, there's no system. you're doing the community a service by seeing it through, otherwise he's just gonna flake out on the next guy. i hope his profile is visible so you can see whether or not he got a strike or whatever by the end of this. people like this shouldn't be allowed to use the service (much less breed). yeah i dunno about a trip to asskickingville, but my first instinct on reading the responses was, "i'd love to meet this guy." like i don't want to be friends with him, you understand, i just think five minutes of sitting down with someone like this and having them answer questions about why they're not a decent human being would be beneficial (mostly for them). . . . now all of that said, if you've played GTA5 Online at all, this type of behavior was to be expected, as that community represents a collective of fuckfaces so indifferent to basic decency that skipping a payment would've been their most innocent offense. i'm currently one of them as i don't have a PS4 and wasn't interested in the lastest CoD.

I've never had to have a mutual cancellation so I was not sure how that would work with my fees I already was charged. Plus even if I did get my fees back I feel a mutual cancellation would be nothing more than my aiding people in abusing honest sellers. Reason why- Now that sellers can not leave negative feedback for buyers there has been a rash of non paying bidders over the past year. What is to stop someone from bidding on three different GTA5 auctions and winning all three then choosing to pay only for whatever one was the lowest winning bid they won, then cancelling the two other ones they won, then that in turn causes two sellers the hassle of having to go through cancelling, being credited, then relisting and hope that it doesn't happen to them again. That happens all too often now on ebay if you read the seller forums on the ebay community. So I refuse to help enable these low life non paying bidders by giving them the easy way out. And I never ship a single item on ebay without tracking so that they can not lie and say it never showed up. Easy solution IMO. Only bid on what you want and then be a responsible adult and pay your bill. Not lecturing you BoroVC just explaining why I would not do a mutual cancellation for someone like this even if I did get my fees back by doing it is all.

Sorry you had to deal with this, Steve. I can't understand people anymore, I've about given up on the human race. Seems like most people are a bunch of self-centered entitled fucktards. Hopefully eBay will get this sorted out for you soon.

The media is way more interested in being first than being right. I see the local reporting about scenes I was at and sometimes wonder WTF they come up with the stuff they say happened.

Its just not on the internet. Its society all together. People and more so kids and teens have no respect what so ever. I have to boys that I try my best to instill respect into them.

Well it is now 100% full and has been for the past 30 mins now and still all dry/no leaks. I also put a 730gph submersible pump into the tank to blow the water around against all the seams. Just as kind of a "real world" test like it will have when the filters are running. I don't want to speak too soon and jinx myself, but I am close to thinking my first reseal job might be a success. I will say this though. Nothing is as nerve wracking as leak testing a tank that holds 2120lbs of water. Every little noise sent chills down my spine. The furnace room is right behind the tank area and when the heat clicked on .....well lets just say I almost leak tested my drawers!

This incident echos the Air France disaster in 2009 where the plane en route from Brazil dropped out of the sky without a trace into the Atlantic Ocean. It took 5 days to find the wreckage and two years to locate the black boxes from the seabed. The recovery services had to work on a 35 mile radius to find them as they didn't know how fast the plane hit the water and debris were discovered over 25 miles away. The black boxes only seem to send out a distress signal if the aircraft reported a fault automatically or if the crew manually sent out a distress signal. I don't think they can be traced in most instances if a plane goes off radar due to weather interference or deep water despite them being able to withstand the hottest temperatures. Recovery teams can only deduce by estimation the location of a 'downed' plane through the last transmission broadcast and it's average speed at the time. I remember a flight going from Kuala Lumpur to China a few years ago and it took 3 years to find the wreck and recover the black boxes. In this day and age and with all the technology available and in most cases; more superior tech, I still can't believe the black box aspect is so backwards.

I am currently in mainland China and due to leave out via Hong Kong on Thursday night, it will be very interesting to see what, if anything has been done to "beef" up security. I have a colleague flying over this way arriving tomorrow afternoon local time, so I'll be intruiged to find out his experiences. To be honest the current security in place at the airports I've used over here is as good as I see in Europe, except Turkey where you have to put your bags through a scanner before you even enter the airport building due to it's proximity to the Middle East. Obviously, this is big news over here at the moment and there is a lot of frustration over the perceived lack of information, but the airline is caught between a rock and hard place right now until clues start emerging. Bottom line, we all suspect that the plane has suffered a catastrophic failure/incident mid air due to the fact that it simply fell off the radar and there was no communication to say there was a problem. From my perspective, the fact that there are reports that the plane may have turned back without any communication at all is worrying. If it hasn't then where the hell is it? As for the cause, everything is pure conjecture at the moment, meaning nothing can be ruled out. For all we know it may have even been shot down. Until the recorders are found and reviewed we will not have a clue. I just hope that they find out something sooner rather than later as the poor families must be going through hell right now!

I don't mind Dome crossing with Extinction either. Imagine a map like Fog. If Treyarch added a kill streak with zombies in it it would be 'revolutionary' because everyone just loves zombies.
