Infinity Ward’s Mark Rubin has just giving clarification and confirmation via Twitter that dedicated servers will be coming to all current and next-gen consoles GHOSTS ONLINE CONNECTIVITY UPDATE: I wanted to give a quick update on some of the work that has been done to improve everyone’s online experience. We’ve already mentioned dedicated servers as part of the overall plan to improve connectivity. Dedicated servers will be used on current gen, next gen and PC with Ghosts. And, in order to make sure that people have the best possible experience regardless of platform, location or connection, Ghosts will be using a hybrid system of dedicated servers and listen servers. So no matter where you are the game will always be trying to give you the best online performance possible. There is also some great new tech in the matchmaking system that will place players in matches that have the best combined overall connectivity performance. Again these are just some of the things that are going into Call of Duty: Ghosts to give players a great online experience. Can’t wait to see you all online. This was from like a month ago. SnD isn't dropped and there's already been an SnD tournament for Ghosts. The fact that's it's available in Private Matches is enough for Competitive, they won't bother with SnD in multiplayer (league aside in BO2). I think it's a bigger deal that they are dropped other games modes COMPLETELY. CTF for example. I've already seen some scrim Dom but I think I'll missed Hardpoint. Will also be interesting to see how the maps work as Treyarch usually do a better job of map flow (is flow the right word?) than IW. My problem with SnD atm is the 15 second time for each round (that's seriously stupid) and the fact it only goes to 4 rounds. I think the rounds are a little long, hope they change it so it's more like Black Ops 2.

yeah i kind of want to get it, especially as everyone seems to be able to party up properly again. but i dont have the time or cash to be distracted by gaming as much until christmas, so i might just wait til then to get it. if i wait a bit atleast i can see if any major issues come up. i do miss you raging bees

If you use the armor piercing rounds and a powerfull AR/LMG they drop in seconds. Whenever I hear one being called in I swap to my LMG and it shreds them.

Well I got the game yesterday afternoon and ive had a couple of hours on it, with getting the game a day later than most I was more eager than ever to give it a go. First off lag tho very sporadc it is definatly there, maybe more noticable to me as im used to geting very little lag in past cod's no way is it a major problem its just not as smooth for me as some have said. I started with squads, personally the only use I found for this is to get a basic feel for the game and maps, for actual gameplay its pretty useless imo as the bots are hopeless so after an hour i jumped into multiplayer. First impression i got is its going to be a steeper learning curve, im ususally a 1.2-1.3 kdr player but ive been struggling to get 1 kdr games but it gives me something to aim for. The game feels different to all the previous cods which is a positive but they dont seem that varied, all seem big and the colours are very samey, I cant actually really distinguish etween them and with them being a little dull mostly I have trouble picking out opponents. Gamemodes, blitz meh it would be better if it was timed rather than the 8 point halves, dom which is my fav game type usually is somewhat different whit map size as i only started playing it in mw3, i wont go near tdm but I do like cranked at the moment for some fast paced fun. Im used to playing hc so ttk on core is still a little slow to me as it takes more hits to fell opponents I will always hate getting first hits in but losing the fight but this could also be down to weapon choice. As for killstreaks yes the dogs are so abundant its like a meet up of the blind society but this will probably change as people get squad points to unlock other things. Anyway first thoughts are on the whole positive as they have definatly not made a clone of a previous cod but it might be more difficult to be succesful as an average player the learning curve will be steeper as i think the skill gap has increased, i like the improved graphics but they could have made some more varied map sizes and colours etc imo. I look forward to getting some decent time on it this weekend to get my teeth into all the other features and learn the layout.

Despite being tipped as a game mode Grind doesn't seem to have made it for launch Played some Hunted, quite fun. You basically start with a handgun, and a plane drops a weapon crate that dispenses decent weapons for a time (couldn't work out how this time was calculated, I think it's the number of guns then as you can end up with 2 or even 3 weapons crates on the map. It's pretty intense trying to get a decent gun, think the start of the hunger games (not the start of the film, the start of the actual games) Seemed fun to me Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Well, I recently put this in my PPR, but it made me so excited I want to contribute it to this thread. Background: When I was 16, I got into a bad car accident (not my fault) which in the end made me an epileptic. Because of that, I wasn't able to drive anymore, doctors orders. It gradually got worse and I ended up having a temporal lobectomy done (which was all documented in my PPR on the MW2forum). I had some seizures through the healing process of the surgery, but I haven't had a seizure since. So now onto my happy story! Just this past Friday night, for the first time since I was 16 years old (the night of my accident), I actually got the courage up to drive at night. I drove for about an hour with my relative and it made me really happy. For the first time, I wasn't scared of the lights and even though I was really tense the whole time, it made me feel at peace. Needless to say, I can't wait until my next nighttime outing.
