And people moan about the loading times on modern games 🤣

You should have tried Dark Star on Commodore 64. Half an hour to load and if you died you had to reload. I played it twice. 

C64 had cartridges though and International Soccer and I can't remember the name of the Basketball one, but they both loaded immediately.

I still think if they solve the plastic environmental issue, then we could have a weird cartridge revival as everyone will want to have tangible things to own before you know it. Such a good feeling when the Mega Drive game was ready straight away too.

 

Because of this thread I've now gone back to ebay to find some more games to add to the backlog to try out! Even my lad wants me to get Mortal Kombat 1 and 2 now.
