Anthem Live Demo Jan 25th - Jan 27th

The live demo starts tomorrow for anyone thatbhas pre-ordered. You have you register your code on EA Origin Access and then it will let you access the demo (everyone can download it but you need a code to access in-game).

 

Every person that pre-orders gets 3 friend codes. I'm going to look to do it as I really want to be open to what it brings and give it a shout.

 

Anyone else playing the Demo this weekend? Anyone want a code if people get them?

Here's a few facts to be aware of in the demo:

 

• No lore available to avoid spoiling any story telling when game launches
• You can stream the demo
• Free demo to all Feb 1st - Feb 3rd
• When a mission ends, one button takes you to launch bay and the other to tarsis (social type spaces)
• Completely separate download to full game so can delete after demo dates
• The demo economy is not the full game economy
• You can change the size of the damage indicators in the demo
• Demo is around 30GB download
• Friend codes work across platforms so doesn't matter what you pre-order it on
• You start the demo at level 10 after some of the story.
• They give you 100 coin and loadouts for the ranger.
• All cosmetics are 25 coin. You earn more by doing contracts and challenges - but be careful not to spend it all quickly, apparently
• Won't be connected to full game so no headstarts created

 

That's as much as I've found so far. Good chance to try out before you buy.

It's been confirmed you don't need to use coin to unlock more Javelins. The more you play of the demo the more Javelins you will unlock.

Beta has been a disaster apparently - all EA’s servers across their titles are having problems so nobody can play anything and that includes the Anthem beta! People still waiting 6 hours and counting.

Servers were rough at launch, but EA turned more on. Smooth on PC. Running on average 72 FPS on Ultra at 1080p 144hz. Dropped to high and hit 144 stable.

Im seeing a lot of infinite loops tjat people were caught in.

 

Matchmaking was causing an issue and I've seen Gigz tweet that a fireteam of 4 got past it by turning their lobby to private.

 

A few good comments from Streamers so far however there's also some not so good comments from everyday Joe bloggs. I'll see if I can get a code so I can play tonight or tomorrow if I have time.
