Luseth 2,103
I came across this the weekend, I am definately intrigued! I can see it being something I might try and get the missus into as well with it being a bit of a survival mmo GazzaGarratt and phil bottle 2 Link to comment https://forevergaming.co.uk/forum/forums/topic/10564-dune-awakening/#findComment-158282 Share on other sites
GazzaGarratt 11,178
Really intriguing, agreed!! I think like with most MMO or open world games it will probably depend on how much content will go live at the launch to be able to keep people engaged in this. I do fancy giving it a go though just based off what I've seen above. phil bottle and Luseth 2 Link to comment https://forevergaming.co.uk/forum/forums/topic/10564-dune-awakening/#findComment-158293 Share on other sites
Luseth 2,103
Giving this thread a nudge as it is going to be release in May. I have looked at some of the recent footage and though it looks a bit janky it is looking like it could be great fun. There are 3 zones, 1 which is kind of starter friendly, 1 which is then PvE and bigger in scope and then an end game one which then include's the PvP element. The discussion around the PvP area is that because it is a whole bunch of servers all meshed together you could potentially have up to 900 players in this larger end game area at any one time and it appears to take some influence from Battlefield and Planetside games. Definately one I will be giving a try I think. J4MES OX4D 10,208
Beta access has begun but I think I'll give it a miss. Final product looks pretty shambolic and about 10 years out of date. Nowhere near the standard that was initially portrayed. A real shame because it's a decent price and a good concept but I'm just not as forgiving with these jank-fests these days. phil bottle 1 Link to comment https://forevergaming.co.uk/forum/forums/topic/10564-dune-awakening/#findComment-161098 Share on other sites

It's definitely got the Dune vibe down but it's too janky, looks like an MMO from 2014 and too similar to games like Conan. I think they will work on it so I'll keep an eye on it and maybe further down the line it will tempt me.
