I'd have to run this like 10 - 15 times with people who absolutely don't care about my mistakes for me to get it down.

I honestly don’t mind people making mistakes as long as they learn from

Personally I prefer the first two callouts and use left, mid, right and just call far and near if there’s 2 in the same side. I’ve only done the raid a number of times and @Riff Machine has the callouts down to perfection. As long as everyone shuts up and doesn’t tell the whole team that they’re being chased by supplicants mid call outs then you’ll be fine

I think we’re going for two of each class. A banner sheild and bubble Titan. A tether and stasis hunter and the then a chaos and well warlock. That’ll cover most things to start with then we’ll adapt each encounter if we need to. We want each class to have a suppressive and add clear capabilities. The stasis and tether should work well for add control then the chaos can do quick add clear. I shall be the only well but if the boots work good then one should be enough. If people are too spread out for the healing to work then we’ll have to adapt as necessary. I’ve never done VOG so I’m on a back foot. My team have about a thousand clears between them all but that doesn’t help if they change stuff. Your team have all done it too so it should be good raiding all round. I think it’ll be the first raid where we’re all in the running for a day 1

Good write up Bob, I agree on a lot of what you’ve said. There’s going to be overloads etc without a doubt. There’s wyverns but we don’t know if they’re going to be champions or not yet. 
risk runner is an awesome shout for clearing but it’s gonna be a gamble if it’s going to be worth losing an exotic space. I wouldn’t bother with trinity ghoul as no doubt an arrow even with lightning conductor active won’t kill the vex. Once modifiers have gone it’ll be good tho. 
I’m gonna be a well warlock but with the new boots so I can continuously have a rift out and my teammates will constantly be bombarded with them healing seeking orbs. I haven’t quite unlocked breach and clear yet but that is gonna be the main play for boss dps

if you don’t have 14secs on the heart then don’t drop down otherwise you’ll struggle to make it. If you can turn your character towards the stairs and orientate yourself whilst floating then you can but don’t risk it unless your the only one left. Drop the heart at the top for the final person then they can drop straight down. 
There is an easier way to do the heart run but it’s rng based on who’s picked and the person soloing it needs to be experienced

Last wish is awesome. We’ve been doing it daily as it’s actually a raid and not a strike. I can’t help you guys with it but if I’m about when you run it I can help with the Vault call outs if needed as that’s what people struggle with. No doubt though Charlie has you guys covered tho but the offer can be there if needed.

From my point of view I think they have ruined the raid seals. 
They removed the flawless triumph from Garden of salvation and now they haven’t even introduced it on the DSC.. 

It makes it more achievable for more players but I think a raid seal should be hard to get like the Last Wish one.

Diddums diddums diddums what have I just had to read 😂

 

You haven’t played D2 in a long time, I can tell. Armour now has completely changed, they have split it into 6 stat roles.

mobility

resilience 

recovery 

discipline for grenades

intellect for your super

strength for melee

 

The stats above are basically what you’ve just described as what the game needs.

If you’re fighting a tanky boss you’ll opt for high stats in something like resilience and intellect. 
For PVP perhaps you’ll want mobility, recovery and intellect. 
 

There are so many builds you can make. Theres multiple ways to get high stat specific roles to drop and yes some are grindy, some are fun. I’ve found the old Levi raids like Spire and EOW drop high roles for PVP builds. Menagerie is brilliant for specific armours and roles as you can direct the chalice to a specific build. The choices are endless.

 

I can’t defend the bounty grind as that is what it is, a bounty grind. 
 

You’ve said about raids being too easy and if you die people can just carry on and complete stuff without you. I disagree with that totally. 

I can’t remember ever completing a raid with only 5men with you guys before...... 

Imagine every raid encounter being so mechanic heavy that if one person dies it’s a wipe etc. People would be moaning then that they’re too hard. How would new people be able to learn it?? You have to be sensible about it. There should be times where when someone dies the other 5 can carry for a bit. It just makes it harder for the others. Also there’s not a better feeling when youve spent hours grinding a loadout and armour etc found yourself another couple of good players and decided complete loadouts from subclasses to armour stats and armour mods and then gone and completed a raid.... 3man 

 

The activities are there.

The armours there.

The stats are there. 
The armour mods and weapon mods are all there too. 
 

If you don’t enjoy the game anymore that’s absolutely fine but you can’t say they lack stats etc when it’s all there for you to customise your own specific builds.

Good weekend overall for raids etc. We managed to run Ajay through SOTP 3times yesterday and 1phased Riven with swords. 
The main challenge was getting people to defeat the mean fucker Ghalran, after a few wipes and a few mishaps we managed to pull together and finally do it as a complete FG Fireteam. 
Myself and Ghost town worked together well, Rob and Chad also but the main hats off goes to Leigh for managing to keep Kempy alive long enough to finally complete the Raid. 😂😂

congrats on your first completion guys. 
Next runs will be a lot faster and easier now👍🍻👌🏻
our new weekly reset runs will now more than likely be 3x SOTP, 3xDungeon and 3xCOS and 3x Rivens for keys 😂😂

And to top it off I finally got my Randys scout rifle that I’ll never use 👍

Thursday raid

Leigh has mentioned over the past day or so that hed like to finish the Crown of Sorrows raid. I think a few people tried it with us a few months ago and got to the boss. With time differences etc we were unable to complete it and getting a full team back together was hard with work and life commitments.

Tomorrow (9th Jan) we will be running COS from the start. We need another 4 players who want to help or learn the raid. I can teach all the encounters if needed. It’s easily doable and the mechanics are easy enough to pick up quick.

Good to see people running them. Clan raids are so much more fun then randoms. I went on last night thinking I’ll try and encourage people to do COS. I was on my own so went to the Darkside with Bluffin greboth etc on COD and got my arse handed to me. [emoji23][emoji23] I remember why I hate call of duty now

I didn’t touch my clock settings but all if you keep fast travelling to the same spot eventually it’ll work. Some times it takes 1-2 try’s other times you can be fast travelling 20times. Once you’re in it don’t accidentally leave until you need to.

Nice spontaneous raid last night people. Really quickly done and only one wipe at the final boss stage on Scourge of the Past. I think that sparrow part is gonna be the death of me and others...Kempy with your bloody tractor trying to turn corners like an arctic lorry [emoji23] I'm not getting much damage with Darci so I need to work on just how to activate properly at still(ish) targets. I dropped the rare Threat Level shotgun from the boss which was ace, not sure if anyone else got Anarchy? Oh, and awesome first completion for Sam too.

The only reason you’d not be doing much dmg with Darci is because your either being “tethered” or you’re shooting before your “phase synergy” buff with your partner. That first run where we wiped I still managed to output 888k dmg in one phase all because I didn’t get tethered. When everyone’s happy with dps position we’ll be 1 phasing him with spare ammo left over still [emoji1310][emoji106]

I’m fine with any now to be fair. Anarchy seems to make a lot of encounters on most raids more doable so could be worth doing SOTP weekly to try and get it. It certainly makes the crown boss easier and I know it helps with Angelics in GOS, fire a couple of shots at the angelic and concentrate on vex whilst the anarchy shreds.
I can help teach COS or SOTP.

It’s not 400 tasks and you don’t even have to have the weapon equipped. In the season pass you end up with 8x per task on the catalyst progress , so it’s 50 things max and it just gets done passively 


I know you don’t have to have the weapon equipped thank fuck [emoji85] otherwise it’d never get done. I don’t know what you mean by 50things max as I’m at 76 and still going, that’s included gambit, strikes and raids etc.

Well, it says 400 on both of them. So if I do 20 strikes a week it should be done in only 5 months [emoji849][emoji23]
It also seems that the EDZ Obelics is broken too. Can't open it up even though I have done what I'm supposed to. So can't link it to the Tower as I can't get the weapon bounty. 


Kempy has been having issues with the obelisks not working too.
The grind for 400 activities is too much imo. Like you have said above, 20strikes a week for 5months!!!!
