  2. I feel like I've completely outgrown Nintendo and they seem to be blurring into the likes of Sony and Microsoft with scummy tactics. Indie and AA titles are very expensive on their machine and with physical copies soon to house only partial install data, you have to wonder why they even bother. Soon to be paying ÂĢ70 for a game that's useless without an online connection and 30gb download. Their exclusive range also does nothing for me now - I can see why Nintendo-only gamers may be wowed at some titles but even BOTW just felt like a bloated open world game with some infuriating mechanics and limited gameplay. I did enjoy some of it especially at the start but having played a zillion of these titles, it wasn't anything new or unique. Even for younger gamers, the amount of BS and the price here is just exhausting and they could easily broaden their horizons by a monumental margin with things like the Steam Deck. Switch 2 will basically have all the modern nonsense that plagues gaming but with a heavily restricted and overly-expensive catalogue.

  4. I don't think it's expensive really, I think if you compare this to the Steam deck which is a great machine you are getting something rather comparable for the price. The power under the hood is similar and I think the 256gb variant is similar in price to this device albeit you are paying more but getting the dock included. They appear to have taken on board the issues with the first console and improved them. My wife was really interested in this straight off the bat because of the Mario Kart game which my kids are at the age to start appreciating, I do not think this will do as well as the original Switch, it does not feel like it brings much new to the table other than a more refined device. It feel's just like an upgrade rather than a new machine. The game share I liked, it means I could play Mario Kart on the Switch 2 and my daughter join us on the OLED swith 1 which could be good. The camera and the screen sharing looked really bad. The power isn't there to stream 4 other players devices while you are gaming and you could clearly see them lagging. Apparently in the interviews after they acknowledged this and have just accepted it which to me is poor. If it does not work just don't do it at all and they showed off some great 3rd party games that would never have been possible on the current switch with cyberpunk, Hitman, new 007 game and the bloodborne esque game they showed off at the end of the trailer. I do have issues though - I think the first game / app they showed off sums up Nintendo at the moment though and it is why I have fallen out of love with the company as such in recent years. A game / app that showcases how to use the device but you have to pay for it? I mean what??!! Wheras playstation release a little Astro bot game free of charge. Then there are all these Switch 2 variants of games that you have to pay extra for, I think it was the Zelda game where you are paying extra to have the maps on your phone? Also game chat, welcome to what 2006? I will pick one up but it will likely be a Christmas purchase for the household after we have moved and that is in part because my wife is offering to buy it as a joint household gift! 🙂
  5. Looks good but expensive and the games are expensive and I fucking hate Nintendo as a company anyway but yeah here's the new one ðŸĪŠ
  6. Absolute legend! I remember him coming to my village to film The Saint back in the 1990's. Even popped into my corner shop too! I wasn't familiar with him at the time but everyone around the place was going wild at such a massive figure being in our neighbourhood ðŸĪĢ

  8. I've had a quick go on the Xbox version. Runs pretty well and looks pretty enough. I haven't much time for it, with others in the queue but I'll give it a few goes to see if it grabs me.
  9. Two horrible specimens, what a world ðŸĪŠ
  10. Thought he was a brilliant actor, but such bad luck with his health in recent years. He was immense in Tombstone
  11. New game from FromSoftware and somewhat a spiritual successor to Bloodborne. For some reason it is a Switch 2 exclusive which is utterly insane seeing that virtually all their money is made from other consoles and PC including the massive success of Elden Ring.
  12. A good breakdown here
  13. Not sure if anyone has been following this longstanding legal case, but a massive judgement has finally been awarded today in favour of Billy Mitchell and rightly so it seems. This result was actually a huge shock to people, especially those that had backed Karl Jobst to the tune of over $200,000 through crowdfunding because they believed the case was surrounding Mitchell suing Jobst for false cheating allegations and was a forgone conclusion. However, it has been revealed the civil action brought by Mitchell was actually regarding Jobst, who made implications that Mitchell was responsible for another person's suicide. This is very different from the narrative Karl Jobst made when he pitched to secure funding from supporters and now people are very angry that they have been mislead about the nature of the case. I have followed this for a very long time and have watched about 15 videos that Karl Jobst had produced prior and during the trial period and I don't think I have seen such an astonishing deception before, or whereby money is obtained under such false, or misleading pretences. Not once was it ever disclosed that he was being sued for the suicide claim and instead he persistently stated that it was a lawsuit based on allegations of cheating and this is firmly what people believed. This is clear fraud by false representation so he will have to pay the backers their money back else he could be liable for that too. Billy Mitchell is one of the biggest pieces of shit con artists in the industry but that pales in comparison to what Jobst has done and I am absolutely stunned. Karl Jobst was a very popular YouTuber in the speedrunning community with world records, and also covered lots of big stories especially when it came to cheating or fraud in the industry and had over 1m subscribers. He will never recover from this, not just for losing the lawsuit but lying to his supporters for years and taking their money under false circumstances. Mitchell will have a small fortunate reprieve and a huge payday to boot and it'll be paid for by the people Karl conned ultimately. He took the long-time feud too far and has paid an astonishing price with his money and career YouTuber Karl Jobst to pay more than $230,000 to Donkey Kong record holder Billy Mitchell in defamation ruling | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM And it could have been more, the judge said.
  14. The developers are literally based down the road from where I live but I'm just not a fan of their games. It's great to see them try something new outside of their safe Sniper Elite series but they just can't seem to shake off their reputation for making games that are just somewhat decent but nothing overly special or original. I don't have Game Pass so I wont try it and I wouldn't want to pay anything more than ÂĢ13 for something like this. May have a look in the future but it seems to be just another ok game from them.
  15. I have had a brief go, it felt very British with the accents and such, was a bit more difficult than I anticipated and I like they have tried to do things a bit differently with how investigations work and there isn't levelling up as such. The world is very British though probably greener than I am familiar with! You can tell it's based around the lake district. Just some points I have picked up on so far - - It does not encourage combat the way fallout does. You can only take so many hits so it sort of forces you to be mindful of who you fight, adding in a bit of stealth and such. You can even scare enemies off by just pointing a gun at them in some instances. - Ammo is very sparse but as noted above the game does not really want you going in all guns blazing it seems. - I like the fact it does not point you to the exact location like some games, with clues and such you can narrow down locations but it does not hold your hand right up to the point or item you are looking for. The game encourages you to investigate things and it makes a nice change. - I don't think I have seen a world or map in a game be so green, it's quite nice and refreshing and surprisingly pretty to look at. - The amnesiac protaginist has been done so many times...
  16. Console only crossplay is coming with Season 3. That's a great move IMO.
  17. Looks good, though I'd get very bored of that little roll he does...give me double jump instead please ðŸĪŠ
  18. Out today in early access. Been in development for a few years and has come a long way. Some of the most impressive animations I have seen

Prep fo4 the conditions as today I didn't and almost took a nap on the pavement. Over 100km ran this month. It's gotten to the point I'm collecting digital trophies on strava so it's.just not ps trophies.
  22. I could have sworn there was a thread on this game but just in case, here's one now 😉 I just got back from a holiday in Menorca so not had a go yet and it's on GamePass with reviews mostly decent. Anyone tried it out? Set in Lake District.
  23. I've got about 40+ hours on this so far. I'm digging it. Love the Japan setting. I still feel Ghost of Tsushima is better, but this is fun.
