Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake - Now Confirmed!
phil bottle replied to IRaMPaGe's topic in General Gaming Discussion
At this point developers need to start investing more time in optimisation, its all very well having a great looking game but pointless if it runs like a turd. Is it true they updated the game but not the controls? I hear its quite fiddly in places. 70+ quid too. Yeah no thanks. -

It's going to be a very interesting season and I think Arsenal's depth could be key for them but it'll be interesting to see where Liverpool are at with some big departures and incomings. Chelsea aren't quite there yet but they should be better placed to compete for top 4 and Man City will be up there but I can't see them winning it or even getting near the top 3. At the other end, I think West Ham are going to have a very challenging season but for the first time in a very long time, I think the promoted sides may be better placed to survive unlike previous years. Unbelievable pressure for Arteta to deliver this season though - over Β£1bn spent in his tenure and still only the FA Covid Cup to show for it and that was with Emery's squad. I don't even think the FA Cup and League Cup would be good enough to suffice - it has to be the League and/or the Champions League. Not many teams blow through that sort of rate and win less than Leicester. City were nailing the treble off the back of multiple titles and trophies in which Arteta played a huge part in that with Pep so the expectations will be insane but I think they are well-placed this year to do something.

I totally agree, there's a lot of strong teams this season with a lot of cash being splashed on players, with probably more to come before the window closes next Monday. Arsenal and Liverpool probably fighting it out for top spot, with Chelsea, Man City, Newcastle, Spurs and Maybe Forest in the mix again for the rest of the top 6. I would have said Villa and Man Utd too but they both look a little off the pace so far. Thomas the Frank Engine has done a good job so far for Spurs, he's even getting the best out of Richarlison....and I think we'll do a little better than last years 17th place π€ͺ

Spurs are actually looking class so far @phil bottle, gonna be an interesting season I hope if they can keep it up, city will be in the mix, chelsea probably will be as well and I donβt see any way liverpool or arsenal arenβt involved in the top 3. could be one hell of a tight title challenge this year

Activision caught bribing streamers including 3 convicted cheaters for fake trailer reactionsπ this franchise is an embarrassment

I can confirm that there is no griefing on our server. I saw a few folks in one common area, from other private servers. Game feels great, they also just launched roadmap as outlined below.

I can't believe BO7 isn't even cracking the top 40 on Steam top sellers and it's not doing very well on the PS Store either for pre-orders. It's still early days and people are probably waiting to see how Battlefield fares but these figures regardless are absolutely rancid. The Steam top sellers is also determined by revenue so when you have a Β£70 game that can't crack the top 40 and is being outsold by income compared to a game that costs $3, the pre-orders must literally sit in the tens of thousands tops for it to be that low down. Even ANNO 1800 being 30 places ahead at $6 is crazy.

Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake - Now Confirmed!
J4MES OX4D replied to IRaMPaGe's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Imagine spending $750 on a PS5 Pro and getting a baseline performance output the same as an Xbox 360! Even upscaling with as much slop as possible can't hide how poorly optimised these modern games are compounded with a sheer lack of power and flexibility from the locked hardware. -
If it plays anything like BO3 and AW then I'll be very happy as I really enjoyed both of those games. I always felt there was just something off with BO6. It didn't feel like a Treyarch game. So I'm fully convinced that BO6 was released just as a stop-gap until they could get BO7 out.

I loved the first season, so Fallout season 2 will hopefully be just as good. With it involving New Vegas and rumours of a remaster to what many feel was the best FO game, bring it on please : )
-
It certainly looks more refined like Black Ops 3. Not sure what the hell they were thinking with BO6 especially with the stupid movement. They had it nailed down in MW2019 and Vanguard yet they practically made it so flimsy and exploitable in the last game that it just looked and felt ridiculous. I think this will be a similar case to Advanced Warfare where the devs have tried their hardest and produced a reasonably polished game but shocking direction and shite marketing ruins it. Sadly it'll look and feel way more superior to 6 but get ten times the flack.

Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2
J4MES OX4D replied to phil bottle's topic in RPG / Action / Adventure
The developers here are more known for their walking simulators so hopefully they'll be able to deliver on RPG mechanics. Having just played their Still Wakes The Deep game, they certainly know how to build a world and tell a story but I hope the core gameplay has some substance. Not sure why the original game wasn't simply remastered from the ground up though as there would've been many takers for that and the development wouldn't have been half as borked. -
I played far fewer games the second weekend as I was away for most of it, I had a couple of games on the Sunday though, excuse the snippet but it would not save properly on my phone for some reason.

Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2
phil bottle replied to phil bottle's topic in RPG / Action / Adventure
From the 2 hours I've seen of the game its clearly very different from the original, but still, it looks well done and a game I'd like to play. But yeah, will have to wait a while to see what happens with ridiculous day one dlc... -
Just going from the trailer it looks to me like MP is more refined than BO6. It's like BO7 is the MP game that BO6 should have been π€ Obviously that may not be the case when the actual game launches. I saw somebody comment that it's just "AW 1.5" and I'm all for that. For me it all depends on the maps. They better not be all small again.

It does look good albeit I have kept my expectations in check just because of everything that has gone on with it, between that and Battlefield maybe I am just getting old π -

Hard to compete against what they offer however you do have UCL this season so I did expect some to come to Spurs now Franck is in charge. Levy needs to stick with him for longer than a season though....
