I was using the server search method of finding games and it just seemed to be loads of empty conquest games, real snooze fest. In fact other than CTF and Conquest no other modes were showing. However on quick match they have added a feature were you choose game mode then choose from original/cr/sa. Go in here and I could join any game mode I want on SA. Does anyone know if a flash bang gives a kill-assist. I've never used them myself but if they it might help this challenge. I'll try it out later if no-one knows

Went 16-2 today on Gulf of Oman Dom. Decided to snipe, took up position in the middle of the map with good views to 2 flags. Was trying to get the 7 kills I needed to unlock 'straight pull' on the L96A1, got 14 kills with it, a new sniper record for me. Capped the odd flag as well, before anyone starts. I very rarely snipe in the infantry only modes, might do it a bit more often now

I'm basically trying everything out, fully intend to get service stars for every weapon @Matt, DMR's don't get much love in this game, but I find them pretty good. They seem to improve with everyone you unlock as well. There is an unlock glitch though - the second last one takes 28,000 xp to unlock, which is a hell of a lot. The last one then only takes 17,000 xp to unlock. Weird.

The field upgrade system is good but you need to be aware of your squad to get the most benefit out of it. So always try and be in a full squad of 5 as this reduces the chance of being squad wiped. In TDM in particular, as there is no squad respawn it's easy to end up in a squad of one and lose your upgrade progress every time you die Also each class has 5 different upgrade options, and depending on the kit you use, some of the upgrades will be worthless, so try and match the upgrade path to what you actually are using One example of this is in engineer, where the first upgrade is an extra antitank mine. Not very useful if you are equipping a repair tool and RPG. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

That's the thing about Battlefield, the maps are so different depending on game mode. Zavod is great for Rush but not so good for the infantry only modes, unless you snipe

Yes that's right, which makes sense for Rush as its attacker / defender. It's a bit unnecessary for Dom IMO.

Does the rotation vary by game mode? I heard somewhere it did, but have never bothered checking it out. I'll try and check it out on battlelog if no-one knows.

I like the Shorty, been using it on my Recon class as I go round the map, very effective if you turn a corner into a bad guy. Worst gun so far - the M4 Carbine, burst fire SMF on no. And its one of the guns in the 'American classics' assignment (level 100 unlock). I wont be using that gun until level 100 then

Not really a proud moment, but an epic win. Me and Plumber playing Conquest on Lancing, really tight game. Towards the end we are 4-17 down at one point, come back to win 2-0.
