Repair tool ribbons - what a bitch of a challenge. Takes forever to even get one ribbon, and you need 50 to complete engineer expert. I've not had ribbons despite nearly repairing from dead two vehicles in one game. Also I don't think repairs count if the vehicle started life as an enemy vehicle. I hijacked a tank yesterday, needed a big repair, got hit a few more times, lots of repairs, nothing. If I play for it I can usually get 1 ribbon in a full game of conquest, I think my record is two ribbons. Given how easy medikit and ammo ribbons are to get for the equivalent challenges i think DICE didn't really think this one through, unless the unlock is a monster gun. Once this is done i am never repairing anything again ever.

Just tried it on battle log, no problem equipping a shottie on engineer class

you can use them on all classes but you have to unlock them initially by using the support class (does not take long at all)

That's the CoD community abandoning CoD and coming over to BF4 I agree shotguns are lethal, but are so much fun so not a problem I wouldn't have said pistols were overpowered at all, 4 shot kill even at close range I think Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Brede the AK5C is the first Carbine - the Carbines are a weapon class that aren't open to you at the start of the game but if you use the Engineer class a bit you will soon unlock it

Never played BF3 but the fact metro is being compared to locker is making me happy

I've got past them , it's tough but actually one of my favourites Maps in terms of intense experience. It's a bit like the start of Saving Private Ryan. Not sure i can offer any tips on how to win on that base, I just got lucky with good randoms I think

I've got a service star for commander mode, only took about 6 games on the iPad It's ok as a time killer but given the choice much better to play However having someone as commander is useful as they can spam UAVs onto hotspots constantly, so modes like rush if only 1 team has a commander they have a decent advantage. The fact they can assign targets is useful only if squad leaders accept , but would be useful In coordinating attacks in conquest maybe Most of the other commander tools are fairly crap though, ie drop a quad bike in, drop a supply crate. Cruise missile takes two days to arrive FFS

Yes its in quick matches you get points if people are healing - so if they are injured and standing next to your kit you should get points. I don't know if your's has to be the first medikit they heal off, that might be the case. -

Brede try some Squad Death Match - the spawns are considerably less screwed up than TDM and it seems to me that the squads work together a bit more. Personally not keen on TDM in this game, love domination though, and squad DM is very good. -
I might unlock the pistols, but part of the fun in the game is earning the weapons, so I think I'll just keep plugging through the DMRs and shotguns as normal. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

There's some glitch were the campaign doesn't save ( actually I think the glitch is that the console doesn't find the saved game). I lost a lot of progress because the campaign started from fresh and I didn't back out. Just be careful, if it looks odd, back out (good advice for any number of situations). I'm planning on blasting through the campaign on easy when I get a day to do it, just so I don't need to save. I'm loving this game, just had an epic game of rush on Paracel Storm, using the second DMR, now I've worked out how to kill with it, it's fun. Also got a kill with the SUAV, thanks to a tip from TigerChris Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

DMRs are tough to love. My problem with them comes from spamming marksman rifles in Ghosts, worked there, don't work at all in BF4. You really have to find a rhythm to remove the recoil. Once you've got it, they start killing stuff, and very satisfying to get. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
