Parkers.co.uk. Gives you a good idea of the car's worth but you have to pay to add extra features/amend for your actual milage to get a true idea of your car's worth. There are plenty of these cars in garages around me and they all are almost identically priced so I know it's priced about right. I don't want to go in and just pay the offer if it's better to go in at lower price like "I can give you 13,000 cash now". They're finance sucks. I'm better on taking a loan from my bank at 4.4% than the 10.9% the garage is offering.

I don't really know much about buying cars. I'm looking at changing to a newer car (our Audi is about 7 year old) and I have an idea of what car I want. a Focus Zetec S. http://www.arnoldclark.com/used-cars/ford/focus/1.6-tdci-115-zetec-s-5dr/2013-%2813%29/ref/arnel-u-546703/ My question is, how much of an advantage is to pay for it in cash? If the car is worth £13,688, is there a realistic price I should be looking to get the car down too? I went in to the garage to get a price for a part exchange, they offered £3000 for a car I'd private sell for around £6500. I doubt part exchanging would be benefit me £3500 of the price of the car so I think that option is out.

No. I could afford it at the time, I wanted it and it's a very good piece of kit. Ghosts is a bit meh on it but Battlefield looks amazing. The fact that I'm not playing very much these days has nothing to do with the console, more to do with work and having grown up shit to do round the house, like mowing grass. Strangely, Ghosts has made me excited for other games coming on the PS4. It looks so much better than the PS3 equivalent so it makes me quite excited for the new COD or Destiny which were built for next-gen.

Here are a few of mine... I've been subscribed to LoveFilm for about 2 years, stopped using it a year ago when I subscribed to Netflix. Not used in 12 months, total waste of 12 months at £7.99 is £95.88. I signed up for a cycle to work scheme. It gave you tax benefits as you purchased it through work and came off your monthly pay check before tax deductions. Bought a bike worth £660 and got a new job soon after. I did a total of 10 miles. £66 per mile, £660 wasted. Sold it to my brother for £200. The gym. I signed up for my first year of uni. Went 3 times. £90 gone. Gym again. I signed up February 2012, went twice, cancelled April 2013. 13 months + sign up £226. Golf club. I signed up last April. Played 3 times last year due to wedding/house/weather and laziness. Cost me £1,000. £330 per round of golf. Played once this year so far. Yes, I'm an idiot.
