Im expecting quiet, wife's working and all the yoofs will be elsewhere so as long as I get my usual Christmas morning fry up I'll be all good. Not sure we'll bother with decorations etc this year tbh it's only stuff for the cats to wreck.

Look at driftors viewpoint on the loot crate patent...people still believe these guys. There seems to be alot of server trouble with the game at the moment too if you read twitter

I know where your coming from, I watched a video by datto on the new content and he pretty much said at the end no criticism or hype from him as he can't win eitherway with the community, it's same in comments sections so for game developers it's going to be the same. I know we'd be critical if it would have been 2 similar to D1, we'd have called it a full price xpac anyway didn't want to turn this into another destiny post. I remember in the past buying games that were done in hours never felt ripped off by those but feel I should get 1000's of hours out of modern ones bit unrealistic but on the flip side don't try selling me the same stuff over again.. First I want the game to be easy to pick up, like cod and tbh destiny in not into puzzles or spending half a day wondering why I can't get to the next section that's not enjoyable to me but get why some enjoy it which will lead into my next expectation. Challenges, I like to feel in investing my time towards an end goal, if the game doesn't supply it I like to find my own, so many kills with this gun etc mastery of as many guns as possible in battlefield and gold in cod as example's. That's what gets me coming back. I remember staying up to get mastery of a particular gun in BF4 I got that obsessed by it. In d1 the void kills part of some quests etc kept me playing. . Also on a side note way dlc works in some games if you don't buy dlc your locked from content ... why? Thsts just quickly done first thoughts but main things.

We should wake up to the age we live in where we expect mediocre in the hopes to pay more for fixing really? I'll admit they can't cater to everyone and they did a lot right towards the end of D1 but I feel this is a step back and im not alone if I didn't play this with others I'd be done I think like I dropped bf1. The lore ok for some but I care not one bit personally but ok. Could the lore hold back the possibility of adding more enemies? But bringing back stuff and calling it new content it's like reskinned maps in cod dlc etc, fine but give it as extras. I might sound overly critical but I want this game to succeed but I won't/can't get hyped yet would be happy to be proved wrong.

There pretty good at making a trailer, but that's it, will I get it... Yup because we all know games no good after they bring down that paywall and I'll get money's worth out of it . But just more old stuff rereleased no raid( no surprise) and time travel to justify more reusable stuff.

For me the PvE part of the game remains pretty much as before apart from the dumbing down of loot through no random rolls, engrams hold no real value except for the few powerful gear ones which imo is a massive fail. However as a mostly solo player im missing a good PvP experience, yes d1 PvP had issues but I just played for fun it had hours of playability and grinding D2 PvP is horrible and I can't see any improvement for me personally as it won't go back to 6v6 . Big destiny youtubers need to start pointing out problems and risk losing the free shit or things will only get worse for the franchise

Another view He also had another semi review destiny 2 is trash reviewi watched before this video, I think this pretty much covers that content and adds a little. No matter how big a fan you sre, and I played the shit out of D1 there has to be disappointment in D2 .

I agree with @Diddums and @crispymorgan about raid, if in on I'll give it a go but if I never finish it like wotm no biggy. Im guessing it's probably not too hard to complete when you learn it but it's not as memorable or as fun as VoG or crota. Then theres the loot, mesa sean hit the nail on the head with it been static rolls it's probably worthless unless your a collected that's if you get anything but tokens! Oh and crispy is right traveller doesn't need to be so big. From what I hear Luke Smith is incompetant, mods suck to me there irrelevant something to fill an inventory, without random rolls there are no more weapons I need already. It's fun in a party especially ib but otherwise log on do milestone's pick up free shit that others earned come back next week.

Bounties gave you something to aim for, I can see your point in the vanguard ones but tbh we always go to tower / traveller but the crucible ones gave me a reason to play crucible and a reason to go play a different mode. Specific perks were always a thing trials guns were good in PvP raid weapons helped with the raid and I believe that's why people wanted them, if they're same as all the rest why bother trying to "grind" for them after all that's what we're talking about lack of endgame content . Crucible I guess is subjective @GazzaGarratt I hate search as a gamemode so in not going to like countdown ( I think it's called) Via the FG App

Have to agree with what Chris said, I think they've done what they did to avoid it being classed as just a dlc but failed. Biggest failure for me is crucible, yes I did complain it was shot in d1 but that's what made it kind of enjoyable once you stopped being a sweat and treated it as such it was fun, I could spend hours grinding crucible bounties solo I when no one was on. That brings up the lack of bounties it makes no sense to me. 6v6 crucible with no moshpit and if they think they can ever join esports have a ranked first mida sweats. Oh and as of yet I see no point to power system. I also heard raid weapons don't have perks to aid in the raid, that's if you actually get a weapon and not just tokens when doing the raid. Raid why only allow 1 revive as well?

I have a couple of hours to it, I don't like the aiming system im not a fan of 3rd person anything tbh and the 1st person ranged aiming is erm hit or miss at best. The flight one gave a few moments of joy when I managed to hit something but it wouldn't last long. The menu system and ranking up is awful and just smacks of micro transactions getting all your stuff from loot crates. Certainly no rush to spend hard earned on a this and I feel it will die pretty quick.
