Good races last night, though I think we'll stick Fuji in the 'never again' pile🙂
Nice to see @GazzaGarrattenjoying g his new wheel and promoting its benefits to one and all🤔😅

I had altercations with @Lurch and @Shucker  but only because their pace secretly worries me😢
@slamminbones smashing Blue Moon surely elicited a nose bleed.

It twas a great night again for sure. I persisted with the wheel as you guys said its how to get better at it. It started better than I expected but then my internet was abit dodgy to the extent that the DNS issues I was having I found out is a cause for the Pit Stop glitch and the fixed car at the start. Shame as that race felt it was going to be good in practice.
 
Monza went really well for 4 laps, even with James' @Lurch  car sideways in front of me! Problem with the wheel for me is when you do get a large mistake happen, it completely wrecks your race as I'm more akin to quickly sorting it with a controller. Need to understand more how to reset when fully facing a barrier or oversteer sends you off in a spin. Pressing options may help but there should be quicker options.
 
We'll see if i can find more time around for practicing with it. Eventually it would be easier to have a fold up race seat so it could bolt on that and i can put it away quickly afterwards.
 
Great to see some performances out there though from some people that usually feel they've had a shite week. I know I bang on about not quitting but a few people could've ended up high up in the final standings if they hadn't. Matt as a prime example jumped up 6 places after crashing and being last. I think this game hurts people a lot more internally than I first thought!
 

Had a good laugh even though the racing was crap, sorry mine was crap. As @phil bottlesaid Fuji is awful, Monza could have been better but 3 spins put paid to that, odd as I'd never spun off till the race itself. Really enjoyed the last race all in mx5 tourings, a nice little battle going on at the rear of the pack and a nice comment from Phil was much appreciated 😁, by far the best and most interesting race of the night. When I can join and try again is purely down to work. 

Really enjoyed the last race was first for the best part of the race but @JBR-Kiwi  and @Greboth passed me but still managed to hold off @Mikepjbell to hold on to 3rd for my first podium.
 

I must have been the only person to actually enjoy Fuji!! 😂

Having played almost all of them, I would highly recommend Black Flag simply for the ship battles alone! 
 
Main character is possibly one of the most likeable in the series after Ezio.  
 
If you would enjoy being more of a pirate then an assassin  then you’ll definitely enjoy Black Flag and from what I remember there was plenty to do with plenty of side quests and activities like Fort taking and fighting other ships in a storm amongst lots of other things. 
 
Really good graphics for the time (some of the views are pretty spectacular if you get through the island jungles) and it’s a good storyline if you enjoy that side of the game as well
 
 

A great evening of racing in my opinion, though the experience will never be the same for some now counter steering assists have been prohibited 😅
 
Thought @techno did great on his first races. 
Love Willow Springs and was doing well personally until the tyres started to wear out. Tits up after that, for me anyway 😁
The reverse grid in race 2 was sort of a good idea. I and @Lurch got some hostile attention at turn 1 and I never recovered. 
But it made @Grebothpull his socks up, going from last to a very deserved second, beaten by birthday boy @JBR-Kiwi
The wet race was actually a nice change and glad we tried it. I'm up for another one.
Most had a decent night I think, @LordBaguette showing he has some race pace, @slamminbones again in the wrong tyres 😅

Having played almost all of them, I would highly recommend Black Flag simply for the ship battles alone!

Online daily race at Laguna Seca and had qualified P5/P6. Strong consistent pace had got me up to first and had decided to go in for tyres. Second place decided to risk it and not stop and this was me hunting him down with a great ending...

I thought this would be a great way to start sharing how well we thought others did in the night as no two evenings are usually the same with all of us. I think this will boost some people when they think they might not have done so well but also gives us a little highlight for each week that we can think of how others did, not just ourselves.
 
If we can try and get one up after each Tuesday race night thats the plan but obviously if others can help me get the poll up before I get here that would be awesome stuffs. Its really easy getting a poll up and adding the names. I'll make sure it shows on the Game Hub GT Sport page too!

I have to say mate you were very unlucky with your auto shutoff. Mine turned off as I went into that long left handed and miraculously my guess at where the track was worked out whilst I wrestled with the controller. 
 
Still not sure what was up with that last track as my optimal time was near as damn it what Greebs did, but for the life of me I just couldn’t get the sectors hooked up resulting in a fastest lap that was seconds away from what I could have done. Just a disappointing race from my side unfortunately

Couple of things, is anyone elses mini-map broken? I’ve played a number of games today where team mates don’t appear at all on my mini-map. I can see them on the main screen but there is no arrows or anything on the mini-map. 
 
second thing is am I being stupid or does ghost not really work at all. I’ve got a number of classes that are more perk based so run ghost and ninja in perk 3. The number of times I have been moving (sometimes running sometimes walking) and not shooting, the enemy has put a uav up and suddenly players have whipped round to get me. Even when you have a counter uav up people still seem to home in on you more then seems normal. 
 
Thirdly, I know it has been mentioned in here or in another thread but the switch flip seemingly mid map to make you go from slapping people to getting arse fucked by Mandingo or vice versa is un-fucking real!!! 
played a game of kill confirmed and I was on a 23 kill streak and the team was dominating something like 45-12 with none of the opposite team doing at all well. All of a sudden it was like a team of Scumps and Claysters were all over the map. Some poor bugger even piped up on the mic asking if it had gone super difficult for everybody else as well. I think we scrapped a 65-61 win but man it was a proper sweat fest where you pretty much had to trip team their players otherwise you were getting one bursted.

An impromptu evening of GT Sport on an FG Friday which was not expected but gratefully received! Without @JBR-Kiwi , @Greboth had a slightly easier night of it in the main although i'd like to think the gap is closing ever so slightly from the chasing pack.
 
What's great to see is that the whole pack are becoming ever closer in timings which means we are gonna have even more tighter racing. I think it will also end in a lot of 'Sorry's' and balls up for sure. I think last night showed @phil bottle is just seriously unlucky of late with the amount of times he got bashed off the track 🙈🤣 The gap on qualifying between first and last is now starting to become less than 10 seconds for everyone and whilst that can still feel a lot, many races will involve penalties, racing incidents, cock ups and then tyre degradation and pit stop fuelling so lots still can happen.
 
I think Paul @slamminbones  made some huge strides in his timings last night, especially the second race, alongside newcomer @Stretch616  that had speed right from the start. Matty @Misneach_  pulled a few good lap times out before he had to go and I think the luck for @phil bottle started to change from the first race to the second; a sixth out of 10 for the first race but second out of 6 in the last race and not far off @Greboth for a few good laps.
 
Being away on holiday meant I was a little distracted in the first race which meant I dropped back to 9th I think at one stage due to the first corner on Monza. Lots of late breaking caused Phil to be sent off the track, with @Mikepjbell  showing his 'Usual Suspects' efforts losing all control of the first chicane. Stretch and Matty came unscathed chasing after Greebs but as the laps went on the time gap stretched with a few minor errors coming in. Stretch lost it on too wide and allowed me to get through on a later lap which caused his car to swing out into the sand. Mike managed to also skip the chicane, and only get a 4.5 second penalty which shoved him into second 🤣 . I couldn't catch him after making my way through the pack. Meanwhile Stretchy took Matty on the line based on his penalty with Tom @LordBaguette , Tony @TonyAE86  and Paul @slamminbones  continuing to get to grips with the race pace and Gr.4.
 
2nd race was a real good learner for us all, with Greebs way out ahead but it was nice to give everyone to time to understand how to get the best out of the Audi TT on a fairly simple track. Tom @LordBaguette  started to really get some race pace by the end of the night, whilst Stretch looked yet again fast. I had a 'Willow Springs' moment where my Qualifying was solid and super close to Greebs (0.3 seconds) but I was unable to turn into the race where I probably gave everyone too much respect as literally everyone went screaming into the first corner. I fought back to be right behind Phil but I had a go on the outside of one of the final corners and probably should've shown abit more aggression to take an inside line.
 
All in all a great night again and I think with a bunch of people missing and also new people to join in on GT Sport FG races, we could be looking at a near full FG race night!! GGFG

Couldn't agree more with you @JBR-Kiwi , this weeks racing was seriously good fun. 10 players on the grid this week after 9 last week - we'll soon have a max 16 players on the grid after hearing @Macca89  @Diddums and @Stretch616  are also looking to get involved when they can.
 
I'm really starting to get a rhythm going for the first race of the night. It took me the whole of practice though to work out what car could work on that Tokyo track but I eventually settled on my 5th choice,  the Audi TT. 
 
Although I got the 3rd fastest time in practice (pipping @Mikepjbell ) and I messed up my Qualy laps to start 5th or 6th. Probably didn't help racing @phil bottle and @JBR-Kiwi . The first corner we all knew was going to be a toughie and it worked out well for me with Matty @Misneach_  in 3rd with @Mikepjbell  and @jordie1892  close behind me. Greebs got off to a flyer with Kiwi but it seemed even Kiwi was picking up penalties like pretty much everyone on the track after hitting walls along the way.
 
If I could've hit less walls than I feel like I was getting closer to Kiwi than I ever have - no way near still to challenge 2nd but enough to keep my hopes up that I'm improving. Mike was pushing hard but probably too hard as his penalties racked up. After a promising start Jordie tried his best to keep in the middle of the pack but lost time through each lap. I was very impressed with Harold @Spacedeck  finishing 4th after his penalties were slightly less than Mike's. Phil struggled to get going for once which was a surprise but we also saw Paul and Matty make some massive strides in getting closer to the pack. I'm hoping they see their own improvements week on week.
 
The other 2 races were all over the place but great to shift the pack around! Mike held his own very well in our mid-duel holding me off until I made silly mistakes which let Phil and Matty past. I was getting penalties like others kept getting put my Supra just wasn't fast enough for some reason although it felt good around corners. The 3rd race i did better but without little practice for many I think that helped me in my favour tbh!
 
 
One thing I noticed was actually, I little bit more practice on the first race suited us all. There's a balance to be had because we all struggle to get there on time. Let's keep an eye on it as I wouldn't want people to get bored over too much practice but at the same time it helps many of us out I believe.

Good racing last night guys. It was good to see a large group racing again this week and even my missus says she hasn’t heard me laugh so much on a race night! 😄
 
@Greboth3rd race was hilarious but I enjoyed the close racing on that one with you even if it did get close!
 
Definitely think the GT needs to have another look at the penalty zones on the red bull track as there was a lot of frustration flying about!
