A few people have suggested to get rid of the Call of Duty forum. All down to you guys. Poll closes 1st Sept 6pn UK time. If it gets nuked, threads won't be lost, they'll go back into Shooters forum.

So, I'll put this to a vote for everyone. I get the point that a subforum needs tons of post to standalone but 1) all subforums needs somewhere to start and 2) CoD was the cornerstone for many people here. If this one is good then maybe people want it to keep it but happy still to nuke if all don't need it anymore. I'll start a separate thread for the vote. I personally think the top 5 games in our community deserve their own forums but lets focus on getting a vote done and then getting this place buzzing with the new games coming first.

Right, time to step it up in just a few week's time. We need to make sure we are all around to help new people as well the existing people. We need the mods on the Clan to make sure they are around and are advocates of the FG Clan when we're out and about having fun. Based on our current structure it makes sense for @TigerBurge and @SensaiNemesis to help and pick up the North America timezone and for @Stretch616, @Baabcat and myself to pick up the European timezone. @The3rdWalker will pick up the PC clan people initially and we'll see how things pick up from there if we need more. Rob, shout up if you're suggesting there's others that will be helping as mods from Day 1. As we only have a few from the East / Asia way, i'm thinking of finding a few within the group we have now to see if they want to be involved in helping us grow on that timezone too. I want to try and be more pro-active not only with new people but existing ones. We will need to help organise nights on whenever we can and be more conscious of all clan members not just the ones online the most. If you guys don't want to do this or feel its better suited to others just shout up. I also want others that feel they want to be a major part of our clan engagement then please shout up too. There will be tons to find and help others out with.

I remember one when I was really young. Probably not the exact same type of eclipse as this one but it I remember the surreal feeling when everything went pretty much pitch black for 5 minutes at 10am. Honestly Doc, its great to hear a reason for why you've been away for so long. I can never understand how you felt at that time but all I can do is try and offer an objective view as much as I can of what this place is and why, in my opinion, even from what you have said you fit even more so right now. I agree with you firstly. I've been here for nearly 3 years now and that random 'idea' (because that's what it was) was the first and only thing to see a 2 people move away. What you wouldn't have seen though was in fact just the 2 people had a cebatical. 1 has come back for a while now and 1 isn't but the door is always open for him like it was at the time. Everyone else didn't leave. They'll gladly say the same thing I'm sure. I've got a ton of respect for you and I always have. This place has evolved and geniunely has only got better. Sure, we have some new faces you don't know but we have had some older ones come back and I expect more to follow come September. Both sets would enjoy you being around. They can say if they didn't. This place to 98% of us is a family. It is so much more than a place to talk about games. I get that new people come here to talk about games first. That's obvious. But that's why more and more of the newer folk are beginning to see for what this place truly is. After you've been here for abit you realise theres more to life than video games and that the people here are a great bunch to hang out with. Thats why it doesn't matter if you haven't played games in a while,that's irrelevant. I would never ever want to take away from what you've went through at a coincendental point in the past. You're entitled to come and go as you please, like everyone else is. But if you think you're getting away with thinking you're different to us, I'm sorry but I'll politely disagree. You're family. Like everyone else is. You are just as important as the most regular person here. Ironically close to your story, life is far too short to overthink, hold a grudge, be petty about random shit as things can change in an instant. This place is a place we can all feel that this is why we live and have a laugh. With friends. With family. And we'll keep on having amazing laughs and great fun along the way whilst we have this one random life. Doc. You're a good man. Don't ever think you don't fit. You do. And I'll look forward to your next interesting post, like I had been waiting previously. If others think I'm wrong or disagree at least they can post, as always, and let you know the score like I have.

Some starfighter assault gameplay. Why do trailers of gameplay have to look so good whereas I have this feeling already that this game may let us down again. I really hope not as this seems like great fun with a group.

I appreciate I haven't spent really any time on the new server. Hopefully I can rectify that in September. What would be really good is if we can discuss other ideas to what we can achieve as a group. When I touch base with this again, i'd like some goals to achieve together rather than set my home up and explore on my own. Ideas don't have to be big, they could be a small 1/2 day thing which a few of us can do.

I'm glad you've been enjoying it Dave. What I see from having the FG server is that I would rather have this ability to start with stuff and have teammates about rather than start from scratch on Single Player.

Oathkeeper's score is going to be seen on the new app and imo it has to do with the amount of times we all use Guided Games. I think we should encourage all of us to at least try Guided Games a number of times in the early days as this is key to our clan sustaining a solid base. I'm in interested to see more info on it as at the moment its just for the Nightfall and Raid. Thinking about the word Oathkeeper it may also be related to how successful rather than disbanding and returning to orbit. Either way, its ace we all get to work together to make the clan rewards greater so we all receive decent loot.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Due in June 2018. My son loved Jurassic World so hopefully Chris Pratt can make it another great dinosaur film.

5 months have passed, they've fixed a series of bugs and now they've confirmed there is no longer any patches or DLC for the single player mode. Not surprising but more to the point that it now closes the door on this game that even BioWare can't deny it's been an awful release that shattered the future of the game completely. Its never nice to see a decent franchise close down like this so soon after release of their latest game but I couldn't agree more that its the right business decision. There was little pull to the game for me. It wasn't horrendous but for AAA game to be 'okay' it needed more. It will still have MP releases however, which will make the more missions available. Again, if it felt more fluid movement in MP then maybe I'd consider a return but I can't see any mechanics changing that make it smoother.

This Doc. This place is always a better place with you mate. Great to hear that the book is out and you've managed to pick up that gig. I read a little bit of the try view and it looks quite interesting, how long did it take you to get it done from start to finish?

This is pretty much what you want to know DaveyDave @IPSWICH HIGASHI. I think when we spoke about some of this ages ago, I also think you're looking for quick tips on how to start threads and topics. I've seen you create one which hopefully was pretty easy? The other way to read stuff (or how I do it most of the time) is by using the 'Unread Content' button. On PC it is near the top right just above the forums. On your mobile browser it is the one of the 3 big buttons at the top so you can't go wrong. If you're interested I have all 4 ways to come here (PC, mobile browser, App, Tapatalk) but 95% of my time I use mobile browser because I am out and about. You get to see the smart theme view alongside all the other stuff thats here, like Videos, Calendar, etc. All it requires you to do is use your index finger and touch Chrome on your phone. I always have a tab open for it so i'm straight in, so for other people that have recently said its hard....no, sorry, its just damn lazy (or genuinely you have fat thumbs that can't operate a phone. If that's the case I don't know how you play video games )

I'll be spending some time this week where I can to make some other tweaks where possible so FG is up to date and ready for September when we're all back in the zone for gaming. On the list is the site structure as mentioned in other threads. It would be good to know if there is anything else people would like to see integrated too or fun things to have available. As I've mentioned before, I'm on holiday for 2 weeks now. Whilst I hate being away from here, there's real life stuff to sort and also recharge from my work. If I'm quieter than normal, I just wanted you all to know that nothing is up, I'll be just with the family having quality time. Delayed to Spring 2018. It'll miss the Xbox One X launch now. I've only just read that its the second delay as we've known about it since E3 2014. To be honest, from what I see from the trailers it has a gone some way to go to look like a mindblowing game if you ask me.
