    Just announced at Gamescom we all get to play Gambit for 24 hours a few days before we get to play Forsaken! The news so far seems that it is open to all players of Destiny 2 so potentially no need for expansions! Who's gonna be on for this on a week Saturday??

    It was difficult to explain last night as I wasn't in the game but as you hover over each node, below will be a bunch of options for each node. Each node from left to right is as follows: Power Handicap - Can increase or decrease the power difficulty of the Nightfall. Singe Modifier - Slight buff for the elemental burn you pick Modifiers 1-3 - Turn on any of the modifiers Destiny has on offer. Note that on the Modifier 1, you can select 3 green ones which are in favour of the Guardian. All others are a negative modifier, thus making it more difficult but also increasing your score. The balance is getting a high enough multiplier to get the bonus score but still feel powerful enough to run through it. Tip with Singe - usually you should check what the main boss shoots out and avoid that as the Singe otherwise you're making the boss harder!

    Really important if you don't want to lose some of your gear come August 28th! Some weapons will be moving around in your slots so it is in your best interests to make sure you have at least a few slots available in each weapon slot. You also need to make sure your postmaster is no way near full. When a weapon is moved it tries to go into a spare slot. If there isn't available it will go to the Postmaster. If the postmaster is full then wave bye bye to that gun you've possibly owned for a while now.

    We didn't get a 5 together on this so we'll try again. I can play in a few weeks but if someone calls a date I'm sure there's 5 with this wanting to try it out.

    So I have a confession about D1 - I never looked at random rolls once. I just enjoyed having specific guns drop and that was that for me. Random rolls is nearer to hardcore than core as there's usually not much difference inbetween many rolls for the casual/core player to see. However, I fully expect due to the backlash they've had and looking at the new mod system essentially being an add on to perks, we should see some awesome combinations. What we really need on FG is a full list of all the perks that are possible to drop - that way people will pay more attention to what combinations they drop. Even I don't know all the perks so I don't know whar combinations to look out for. Outside Kill Clip, Outlaw and Firefly I'm not sure what I could benefit from. If someone wants to find the info for perks that would be an ace thread to get into. I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't get what all the perks are and do?

    I think I'm scared of falling in...but I'd do it you know. I wouldn't want to play it exclusively though, I have too much fun with everybody around here. Definitely interested to see where this goes. I'm up for setting a good few sessions once I'm back from hols.

    Year 1 will be over on September 4th and with it are all Year 1 weapons. So thought it would be good to get abn understanding from all of you what you think are good weapons to drop and to look out for. A few I'm happy with are: Uriel's Gift (Energy Auto Rifle) Frostmire Hex (Iron Banner Scout Rifle) Midnight Coup (Raid Hand Cannon) Play of the Game (Grenade Launcher) Origin Story (Vanguard Auto Rifle) Also, if you have ranked up things like your vanguard, I've noticed I didn't drop the rewards that are on offer once you hit a certain rank so its best to buy them even if you don't know as they only cost 100 glimmer and you'll then have them as part of your collection. The Vanguard Hand Cannon, Living Memory, is quite nice and packs a punch but really slow reload rate. Still worth getting imo. What's your guns to keep / look out for?

    Thanks Bob. Had the last two nights finally in Iron Banner and loved it - definitely not using any tokens though as there was no way to hit level 35 to get the ship when I was on level 13. Yep, thats a good shout. Tbh, i'm focusing on keeping weapons in my vault after Day 1 even if they're in my Collections for this reason. Best to grab a night and work through them to see which ones could be easily bought again and others that the specific burn you have is worth keeping in the Vault. Also everybody, a word of caution with the Mod Components trick - some YouTubers noticed that one of the developers, Josh Hamrick, mentioned that by dismantling modsd post-Forsaken you'll get mod components and maybe some new materials, whatever they'll be. I can't seem to find that response but what i've done is got half and half - dismantled some and other purple mods i've stored them in my vault.

    I'm with you tbh. When I set them all up this week it was more because I knew there was still a couple of people left without a raid completion and others just wanting to learn more roles. In hindsight it could be better to help each other on regular content and 'get ready' for Forsaken more than anything else. I'll leave them up as it would be good to see a raid or two happen, even if i'm not on one. However, I won't just let the positive stuff everyone has put in lately making effort to play with others and help each other go to waste. We should build on it and help new people out there understand this place is a good place to be around.

    Not too much take up on the raids at the moment. For some its understandable as its the last week of Moments of Triumph so if people need help with that instead just shout up. Being realistic though, I imagine it may be difficult to sort raids for a few weeks after this as Weapon slot changes come next week and then it Forsaken. I don't want to lose the momentum we've had though so all those raids on the Calendar can be for the main raid or the first lair. There's 4 spots currently for tonight's one if you want it but i'll do something else for my own quests if we don't get enough.

    Glad to have you back around the place Pat and ace to hear the family and yourself are doing great. Sounds as if the kids are gonna have an awesome future. Hopefully we can get some Destiny missions in at some point in the future. As Dave says above, don't go too far away this time!

    Starting from today there is a raid time each day. It would be ace to get 6 each time - any help people can give is appreciated. We should be able to get some of these on as there's always more than 6 on every day currently. I'll help as much as I can. Also, I'm on holiday from Friday for a week. That means if we want these to continue I'll need a few people to step up and help. Its not just putting an event up, its pushing messages out there if they haven't seen the Calendar. Let's keep the good games coming.
