We've moved this on quite abit haven't we since the new experimental update hit. Great to see. I checked it out late last night after @tronic44 got off but Anna @craftofboredom and Emma was online. @phil bottle, that tunnel you've mined is awesome! How i've not seen that before is beyond, proper awesome how it comes out underneath to a separate section. Helped the others do a bit more mining for Iron to replenish our stock and then cracked on with a Tier 2 quest for more XP. I'm on Intellect level 8, likely need 9 and 10 to unlock the final Grease Monkey level to create a Crucible so we can finally get some proper vehicles and a gryocopter!! However, thats likely to 7 skill points so i have a shed load of digging and competing quests to do! Anyway, back to it the quest last night, proper did a heist on the building before we went and started the quest. Looted everything....I can't believe I didn't know the bags of cement were something you can pick up for massive XP and cement gains?! Man, there keeps being things i keep finding in this game. I got hit badly by a bunch of Zombies that ran after me on the top deck. They battered me good and proper as i panic fell down the ladders. Anna and Emma went ahead and started the quest whilst I just lagged behind like a Magical Magpie that I am, looting everything I could find 😎 Tope effort by the girls, they ransacked and caved in pretty much every Zombie's faces. Got the stuff back pretty late so logged off after storing stuff. Good news though, 2 more bottles of acid found to help make some wheels. Found one wheel fully made too! I'll take a look if we have enough to make a motorcycle as we seem to have lost one bike somewhere, unless we only had 2 in the first place? The base is looking bang tidy, time to up the game and think about what we wanna extend or build on the base. Any thoughts?

Do you think this is also because R2 is held in nostalgic purposes an absolute beast of a game and when it was made everyone knew RE2 was always significantly bigger than RE3? I'm with you though, i was never gonna pay full price for this knowing it was a smaller game in general.

Its all going into the 'Destiny Content Vault' as is all other Destiny 1 things are. This has been my most concerning element of the entire update coming in November. I suppose that would be obvious if you heard just 'content being removed' but its specifically whats being removed in the endgame that i really worry about. Raids wise, 5 will go. Yes, a few were initially classed as raid 'lairs' however thinking how we used to experienced raids they really are just similar to old D1 raids in the past that we enjoyed running e.g. Crota. With 5 going and 2 being available from launch (Garden and the new one thats redacted) I worry how people will perceive this - i mean, the flip side is people moan about endgame content but in reality most of them won't even attempt one. Regardless, for people that make this game their main hobby I do wonder how they will roll out the content moving forward as what will determine if people stay is if there is enough new stuff for people to do and look towards. I'm hyped about Vault of Glass coming back...just hope its not the last time we see Menagerie and other large activities. One thing is for sure - we absolutely NEED more activities in larger parties that are easily accessible. Not just raids, go and make Patrol 6 player teams at least. The one thing in its favour is if you are removing this much content, they know as a developer there must be huge significant changes incoming, including lots of new content to be had. They've had this dream of live large MMO battles and there is one theory that they have to redo all the planets in this new way to allow them to cope with more than just 9 Guardians in any instance you are playing in the live world. THIS is what keeps me going. Yeah we might get those planets back, we might not. But lets face it, we all look forward to brand new stuff than recycled improved elements. They sure love doing the things to annoy us most, but then drag us back in with improved content nearly every time.

Ah cool, thanks good to know. Does that mean your armour needs to be completely replaced or repaired? Ilike the idea that your team must eventually help you revive otherwise you could just go ham on the boss and die repeatedly.

A spin off from what we've doing over recent months (or should I say @Greboth and @phil bottle a lot more than me!) is rather doing just time trials, selecting the weekly race, having a few practice/qualifying laps and then having a 11 lap race. Phil took me on a spin last night and it was seriously good fun, much different to our Friday night banter, smash everyone in sight, games. I think it also helps you understand more about the cars strengths/weaknesses as well as the track layout which is a massive factor if we are turning it into a race. There were minor penalties on too for cutting corners or going ignoring the speed limit which really did work when i thought initially it wouldn't. I'm thinking we should make this into a little mini series. GT Sport is £12.99 on Amazon next day delivery now and anyone that loves racing games is a fool not to own the game already. @Greboth @G_dub52 @JBR-Kiwi what do you reckon?

One of those Marvel ones done by Sony. Venom is a huge character that many kids love - the film though was a 15 rating so it was trying to be rough around the edges but didn't quite hit the spot. I agree with you though, I think the main issue was picking Tom Hardy as Venom. He didn't suit the in-world character even though by the end when he was Venom that was pretty much what i'd expect. No doubt Venom 2 will be an instant hit because of how this was made, rather than being a 10/10 film.

Wowser, what happens to you if you die? Lose much stuff doing it or do you have to be careful how much you die against bosses in a dungeon?

Its the world we live in now, where everyone wants things yesterday so the only way for devs to meet the balance is to say i'll release it early withthe huge caveat that its an 'alpha'. Having said that, they shouldn't be free of criticism, you can't spend your entire lifecycle in alpha. I enjoyed that video and now i have a keen interest in DayZ, it made want this even more because of how sleek it looked. Loved the basebuilding ideas shows and also that perk tree elements at the end would definitely make this stand out like Survival RPG. It'll be interesting to see when they will open it up to more people. Any news on that Phil?

Tbh, whilst i say i didn't think i'd care too much about this, the one thing I do want is just for the boxes to be the same size which it looks like they'll be that way. Xbox Original and Xbox 360 were larger and a PITA now I have different sized games to store. If you do buy many physical games, you only realise how annoying different sizes are when you have some that are.

It's been a while but it was back with a bloody big blast last night! A warm welcome back to Sean @Glen11 , was of our oldest FGers...although his warm welcome didn't stay for long as he was annoting as hell at the top of the leaderboard, prick 🤣 However, not as annoying as Kiwi that managed to dominate everyone through the night, even when the setbacks were set to 5 for a knife kill. Cannot believe he still won that game, i was so proud of knifing him too 🤣 Dave @Plumbers Crack didn't like the knife kills so suggested team play...which we then get royally fucked over and funnily enough he enjoyed that being on Kiwi/Sean/Elliott the winning team 😬 Let's also not forget the absolute roast Kiwi gave us all half way through when answering Elliotts question if he gets Hacker calls in most of his games. He thought about it, took his time, and delivered the line we're all were waiting for: "Well, not really. Cos of i'm usually playing against people that can actually play the game" 🤣🤣 I'll never tire of knowing that one person at the back of the map in a bush is Daveydave @IPSWICH HIGASHI . Greebs set the tome well for most games by messing around with the settings to Evil mode...i think some missed his most eveil pick of One in the Chamber with a Crossbow at the end of the night 🙈 Moment of the night clearly had to go to Didds. I think we all wondering what gamemode we're all playing next - Team Deathmatch or TDM? 🤣🤣🤣 My jaw is still aching from the laughter this morning. Yo, can someone help me understand what all the entry level points are at all? As I'm levelling up I want to know what i'm aiming for and when I can jump into bigger and better things. I've enjoyed getting to level 9 so far and I heard level 10 might be dungeons?

Absolutely Anna, more than happy to have another crew member on board! Rich or Rachel we have nicknamed him! @tronic44 will be able to help with those details. As of late last night it was around Day 19 as we've recently started it again on the Alpha experimental build, lots of cool new things to craft and Zombies are packing a punch this time round. I did jump on last night after FG Fridays efforts just to make sure we are starting to have a bit more of a secure wall around the base, not as big as the entire Post Office where we are situated. It needs building up a little more and i think based on just the second horde night A LOT more spikes too. I can now craft Ak47s so gonna do some of them when i'm on next but we also need more Iron to get Forged Steel....I can now build us a 4x4 truck! I'll take a picture when i'm next on to show the progress unless someone does it before me. Oh, we've also stacked out the Guns n Tools crate, so i've built a separate one for Tools but we just need to separate the weapons from the tools now 👍 P.S. a few more skill points and we ain't far off a Gyrocopter...we could accelerate it all if someone found a Crucible!!

It would be great to grab some very simple tips from all of you so Ihave at least a few in my locker to call upon. I'm very used to football games - but more so in the past as I grew up playing them for years and years but just stopped when they started bringing in far too much skill things for me (i don't want to hold the controller like a crab, thanks). However, I know I need to learn some basic moves to accompany all the other parts so I can feel like i can contribute more in our FG Pro Clubs efforts. I'll see if i can find some videos and tips but if you have some, please share here for me. Thanks!

Awesome start Anna @craftofboredom , loved reading that this morning! I always envy people that had Pokemon when they were young as I seemed to miss that even though I had a Gameboy too. Survival games, eh? Well, this place seems to be picking up more and more of them over recent times, like @Diddums and @Plumbers Crack have said we have great awesome people here so we can play on our own FG servers. I think you've found the 7DTD thread already but make sure you find the Minecraft one too, be cool to get another bod on board! Man, if 2020 couldn't keep getting any worse it really did when I woke up this morning. An incredible actor, I truly loved him as Black Panther, my daughter's favourite film and my son is pretty cut up about it too. The fact he battled on acting through his illness and getting sicker throughout makes him stand out even more. RIP Chadwick. 😔

I'm purely waiting like @Plumbers Crack for the PS5 cost and then to see how many of us here upgrade. With a game like CoD I don't want to miss out on the party chats and group ups so if we end up all over the shop then i'll get the cross gen option. We know how poor a CoD game has felt when we're solo over the years.

Just a heads up - Now that we have a secure site we can get Facebook login to work as its not worked for a few years (i'm sure theres many back in the day that have this connection but can't get in because of it) so i'm planning to fix that as soon as i can. Also just found out the Google one has a fault so going to pick that up too. On the plus side, i've updated the Videos section so now need to see if its working as expected. Should also have new features which i'll try and highlight when i get chance

UPDATE So, we have quite a few things not 'active' or working at present unfortunately and we have to wait for the relevant updates to those applications before I can make them live - i've tried to do it beforehand and thats why you might be seeing some generic forum with no logos or colours, etc. To try and give you a flavour of what is and isn't working so far i'll detail it below: Not working Tapatalk and the FG App - the plugin they provide must be updated for it to work with the site. Also, much to my frustration, our FG App is not showing in the Play Store either. However, this has been for sometime now and we are stuck in the middle of why Tapatalk (who provide our own branded app) have had the App rejected by the Google Play Store. Videos, including the Videos Slider we had on the front page Discord integration - None of the push notifications for all of discord channels, such as new topics posted, new events created, videos and quizzes posted, etc. FG Photos - whilst not many people have seen this, it requires an update. A place where we can post pictures in one location and vote on our favourite ones of the month. Visuals for Articles - Mini pictures require investigating as to why they aren't working as expected Who was online last 24 hours - utilising a whos online 'now' feature instead. This may be kept to minimise plugins All page templates - Many separate pages had templates which need investigation Minimize quotes - if you quote something, it will quote correctly but won't minimize to 4 or 5 lines, as it has done for recent months. External link embeds - requires update Calendar Event Topics - new topics would auto create on the back of events for people viewing via just forums to help everyone realise theres a new event up. This is disabled requiring a new update but may need to view how these work going forward Is working and updated Quizzes - Good to go so if anyone wants to make one, feel free! Online indicators now look different if the user is online Events and Calendar works as expected - also on the current homepage there are new countdowns, alongside all of you should receive notifications of the event happening soon if you signed up a few days earlier Some new or not much used features to quickly note Light/Dark Mode can be changed at the top menu by just clicking the Moon sign Forums top level pages have a grid format, with each section having a visual aid. This is the default view moving forward as discussed previously to bring this place to more visual aids - however - you can still access the old way of viewing the forum sections by clicking the left of the 3 ways to view forums. You can also have the right fluid view which is a long list of all the latest forums. This is a new option for you all as I've decided to open up the choice, as I know some may not like the visual aspects - be good to get feedback though. Twitter timeline from FG can also be shown on different pages You'll also see there is a Store option. There isn't anything there yet, but this sets the first steps up for the Merch we talked about previously There is a lot more, probably more stuff I care about than likely anyone else here but we'll carry on updating and fixing each bit as we go along. For Appy people, theres a few things that seem to be moving forward to. One might be alternative to Tapatalk and another one could be closer to this place as an app but thats extremely early days.
