Quick question, if Moyes were to get sacked (not saying he will, just saying if) who would be a viable replacement?

Even though I'm from the UK; I prefer to drive on the right side thanks mostly to growing up with the likes of GTA

The one gripe I have with ETS2 and it's pretty minor is just the copy and pasted cities. ATS looks much better and hopefully they'll capture the inner cities as accurately as possible even if they are slightly scaled down.

    "Hey Summoners,

Welcome to patch 4.12! With only a few patches between now and the League of Legends World Championships, our focus is on the competitive scene and the things we can do to ensure the landscape is diverse and healthy. Part of how we're accomplishing this goal is to look at champions who are skewing champion select in one way or another while also looking to healthy "almost there" champions, like Alistar or Ahri. For either side (strong or weak champions), our main philosophy is to look for strengths to highlight while also emphasizing weaknesses. This ensures a champ can hold onto their strategic value while still having meaningful tradeoffs. You'll also hear me repeat this many times. Too bad.

For you Twisted Treeline fans, we've got two item overhauls with Grez's Spectral Lantern and The Lightbringer (they're now two separate item lines with different functionality), so be sure to read up before hopping into your 3s game.

Final thing: we'll also be shipping jungle timers with patch 4.12! Read just below for a rundown on those but, as part of our focus on gameplay clarity, we want to ensure that the right skills are being rewarded in League of Legends. In the case of jungle timers, we want to focus on the meaningful choices you make with the information you've earned, rather than the quick arithmetic you can do with the clock. Also be sure to read our dev blog on Clarity for more philosophy!

And that's it for now! Read up on the changes below, and we'll see you next patch!"

This is my review from Steam outlining my overall thoughts. Hope it helps  This game is definitely worth a punt especially in the sale. Worth trying the demo like Harrison too.

''Euro Truck Simulator 2 is one of the most enjoyable sims I have ever played with a superb balance of fun and realism combined with a well-deigned career mode. The game isn't complicated in the slightest which enables you to pick up and play straight away without worrying about minor attention to detail that in other simulators you may have to adhere to. This game provides a realistic experience but retains the fun which is a major factor for its success.
The presentation is simple but slick with a well organised menu and beauitiful visuals. The trucks look fantastic as do the other vehicles and weather effects. The world map covers Great Britain and a large part of Europe on a watered-down scale which is a truly excellent accomplishment considering how big this game is regardless of being scaled down. You can go from Edinburgh to Warsaw in under an hour but this helps keep the gamer interested and allows you to complete several jobs in a single session.
The career mode sees you starting off a truck business from scratch where you are presented with a rundown shack as a base. You need to raise money to buy your own truck to further your bank balance or you can just grab a loan to kickstart your venture off with that extra bit of captial. You can improve your base, customise and improve your truck, buy new vehicles from numerous real-life manufacturers and hire staff to enhance your growing company. You can rank XP to unlock extra items from new engines to even extra mirrors and minor truck accessories. You also have a skill tree to unlock more lucrative jobs and longer distance trips.
The driving side is absolutely fantastic from manual to auto controls, filling up petrol, taking a rest, speeding fines and crashes. Everything is there that you'd expect. You can even be penalised for a late delivery. All these factors add to the challenge and ensures that you don't take crafty shortcuts in trying to complete your job. The sleeping and fuelling element also adds some tactical spice to the game so you have to plan some jouneys beforehand else you may have an accident or breakdown which can lead to penalties such as fines or unnecessary expenditure.
Overall this game is a perfectly balanced sim that isn't overly serious but is executed superbly so it appeals to all gamers who enjoy driving experiences. The excellent presentation and learning curve makes this instantly playable with a well-designed career mode and brilliant driving physics. Definitely the best simlator out there and highly recommended''

It's a very well-made game that isn't actually too complex but has some good depth and realism elements. It's probably the only sim I have enjoyed and there is always lots to do and focus on. It's very addictive too. Some may find it boring and I must admit, I thought I'd hate it but in actual fact; it's been one of the games that has surprised me the most in recent years. The company behind it also have produced and developed it really well and their relationship with the community is brilliant.

Things like Flight Sims, Train Sims and all these other barmy sims such as Wood Cutter Sim and Car Mechanic Sim that you see crop up now are pretty lousy and dull but ETS has some substance about it that can entice even the most anti genre gamers.

So I get a phone call this evening, the number isn't withheld, it starts 01228 and my phone says Carlisle. Ok, I don't know anyone in Carlisle so I'm guessing it's someone calling from a place that wants to sell me stuff.

I answer with "hello", and the guy, LOUDLY, replies...

"Hello Euan, how are you this evening?"

South African. Loud. It had to be Diddums. "Hi Dave, how's it going?"

"Euan, my name is not Dave, I am Rory."

My dad does a lot of prank calls. You phone his shop and he answers pretending to be an Indian takeaway. The accent is horrendous and probably a little racist but he's trying to be funny so you let him off. That's what I instantly thought of when Diddums called. I thought that the least he could do when phoning me and pretending to be "Rory" was to try and at least fake an accent. No, he phones and he sounds exactly like he normally does except everytime I called him Dave, he said "my name isn't Dave".

At one point, I think I remember telling Dave that I knew it was him because there was no way he could get rid of his South African accent, and "Rory", confused, went "well, duh, I am South African."

He decided then to go deeper into his little charade and said he was from Betway and asked if I was watching the Atletico/Chelsea game tonight. To humour him (he still was keeping in character so I was giving him some extra time to keep him happy), I said "no".

"But we have great odds on the game tonight." He gave me some odds and told me if I bet £50 I'd get £750 back. I wasn't listening, at this point I thought I was listening to the worst prank call ever so I just kept saying "yes" to his questions. I lost interest, all the time thinking "Dave, you could be doing better FFS." He then told me he was going to send something to my email address and told me what my address was. At this point, I gave him a little credit for getting it right. However, he can easily get my email address from the site. Nice try, but not great. Mediocre. C+. Distinctly average.

He then wished me a good evening and saying goodbye. I didn't expect him to hang up. So I sent him a WhatsApp:

Just after that question, this SMS arrives:

OOPS. The guy must have thought I was an asshole. He must have thought I was drunk calling him Dave all the time or racist telling him to get rid of his South African accent. The rest of the message to Dave:

There's just been more items added. A few new guns, and a fair bit of clothing. It's still the same, gear-up then get bored and mindlessly kill game it was before. They need hunting, vehicles and base building...

    Personal Review:
First off, this game is still in Alpha stages, its one of Steam's Greenlight projects. So keep that in mind please

So I played this for about 2 hours last night.

I'm not 100% sure of it.

It could be fun, but the main focus of it is more building and then raiding your neighbors for supplies. Guns, Rockets, and Turrets are easy as hell to make, where as Reactors and other components are pretty complex. Sure this is actually true to life, but I more so enjoy the building aspect of things.

IDK, part of me regrets purchasing this.
Part of me really enjoys the free flying aspect and being able to make massive mining ships and space stations, but the problem is whats the purpose, whats the end result?

Once you have a reactor, you never have to worry about dying to loss of energy (Food)
You don't have to worry about air at all in fact.

The largest worry there is, other than other players coming and shooting you in the face, or sitting at range destroying everything you built in the last few hours, is Metorites.

    Holy fucking god

I was sitting there, mining for some uranium to make another reactor, and BAM explosions all around me.

Quick video, because the meteors will destroy your shit

Right now there is nothing you can do to protect yourself, other than Stack multiple layers of armor, or hollow out an asteroid and build inside of it.
I have no idea if they plan on putting in some sort of point defense system to target asteroids, or even to put in some sort of shield. (Minecraft has all these in Tekkit and FTB for the mod packs with Meteor strikes, so I can imagine that Space Engineers will do something similar)

I think my biggest problem so far with the game is that once I had a reactor, I stopped being scared of what I could and couldn't do.

When I died, and I did a few times on purpose, and to accident, you arrive on another ship, which you can immediately salvage for free armor, cockpit, thrusters, landing gear, Reactor, and occasionally a gravity generator.......

So basically, if you kill yourself a few dozen times right at the start, you never have to worry about dying again...... (unless some asshole raider comes along, shoots you, and then swipes your shit)

The game is in Alpha though, so I expect most of this to be worked out in the end, but right now, I sort of regret spending my sons birthday present to me on this.

    Thoughts on Multiplayer:

Much like Minecraft though, I think this game would be amazing if there were community projects and people working on a server not hellbent on shooting up everything they see.

    Thoughts on Controls:
way to much going on here, there is a button for literally everything. Which typically I would be okay with, except, when you are mining in an asteroid, you have to hit "T" to actually pick up what you are mining, and there isn't a setting to just auto loot... which annoys the absolute piss out of me.

    Closing Thoughts:

Looking at the various creations out there, I think this game could be badassed, but right now, I just don't know.

I need to look at what it takes to have a private server, I believe they are free, but I have no idea where they are hosted.

Playing on a public server was pointless, It was worse than Day Z to be honest. I mined for about an hour or so, with some dude flying by in his little spaceship, watching me, and never talking. Once I had a reactor, and a decent platform up, he and his friends brought a ship around and started salvaging all I had done, I started yelling, and one of them shot me.

I respawned, flew in, and it happened again, and they salvaged my respawn ship.....
I stopped playing on that server after that.

I started jacking around on a single player game, and looking at the various builds folks have out there.
