You only get prestige emblem 1 for a completed character. If you unlocked all your squad and complete number 10 but ignore 2 through 9, you'll get prestige emblem 2.
 
I've just prestiged for the first time. As soon as I finished level 60 (you have to complete this level, not just hit it, same as previous CODs), my emblem changed and I'm using the same emblem now on my second guy. I took over something like 180 points so my second guy already has my favourite class and 6 loadouts. I like this, but not everyone will. I enjoy levelling up, but having the choice to change to how I want to play as well. This can work either way if you wish.

I've spoken to a few people who have said that "Microsoft changed their tune, it'll be fine" etc etc. As you say, the fact is that Microsoft have shown their hand, and nowhere in their deck do they have gamers' interests at heart. Everything about the reveal was just "take take take", they made it pretty clear that their only intention was to squeeze gamers until there is nothing left.
 
Everyone was saying how well Sony did, when in fact they didn't do well at all. All Sony had to do was not fuck up. That was it.
 
I give it a year before some of these restrictions for borrowing games and second hand stuff are all implemented via a "security update" - either that or MS will find another way to fuck their customers over.

I've gamed on Xbox for the past decade and I am mortified at how dreadful the One is shaping up regardless of all the retractions Microsoft have made.  The damage has already been done and their reputation in my eyes is in tatters. I Can't wait to get back on the Sony bandwagon and as far as I'm concerned; Bill Gates can shove the VHS-Esque entertainment box right up his bottom

I sent the following message to some big youtubers, hopefully they don't get lost in the sea of messages they get and they will make a video to address this.  I recommend more try to get this issue known and resolved.
 
COD ISSUE - NEEDS ADDRESSED
 
To complete the challenges, they have to be within the current operations menus. If they are not there, you don't get credit.
This is a bad idea because some of the challenges only happen once or twice during the whole gameplay cycle. (All Pro) for example.
I think this issue needs addressed with the developers. This is a huge change over past titles.
This also means your character clothes don't unlock unless the challenges are also in your current set of operations. So you can't get the Ghillie Suit unless the Chrome Barrel challenge is there, for example.

I don't think it was ever confirmed and in all honesty I can't see that being the reason as the host is the only person affected as his data is being captured yet how many hosts had advantage...
 
I can see general server storage being an issue and perhaps a reason for it being removed - everyone had about 100 matches at a time stored and if 10 million played in a day; that's a whole lot of data to retain.

They will never beat CoD. If they were smart they wouldn't release it a week before. They should do it late spring/early summer when people get tired of CoD. Halo tried if last year and didn't work either.

If EA think they can topple Call of Duty then they are pretty damn deluded! I agree with TigerBurge that they should release it in a window that is not riddled with competition.  The late spring/early summer is usually a quiet time for games anyway with more focus on trade shows and the Christmas launches.  EA will never win and even with a fully functional and perfectly working game; they will still fall short by a country mile in my opinion.
 
I hate what EA have done to their FPS franchises; they are all rushed, broken and in Medal of Honor's case; soulless. 
 
The games are non-comparable though albeit being in the same genre I feel and Call of Duty is more user friendly and enjoyable rather than being more vast and 'realistic'.  If EA want to keep self-competing, they are wasting their time as nothing will get close that they can offer.

Looking forward to chatting to you all and seeing your contributions.  I am currently on the PC although I am primarily a console gamer but have put my Xbox back in the box until the next generation is out....where I'll probably be getting a PS4:-0
