  1. Confirmed delays for Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4 and don't expect to seem them next year either Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4 are delayed | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM Both games "will benefit from more development time."
  2. Seems a very short contract and I'm guessing he was desperate to get back into work with Ole simply unmovable and Arteta improving. Spurs probably spent more paying Nuno off than bringing Conte in but it would've been cheaper if they broke the bank during the summer. Hopefully it isn't too late for him to put the shit into Kane and co who have been half arsing it all season. Even though his deal carries an option to extend, an 18 month contract shouldn't sit right with anybody but Spurs are really out of options now and probably out of money too.
  3. Done deal Antonio Conte: Tottenham appoint former Chelsea boss as new manager - BBC Sport WWW.BBC.CO.UK Tottenham name former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte as their new manager on a contract until summer 2023.
  4. This looks a good map
  5. I picked the game up yesterday after getting a good discount and have really enjoyed it so far. Definitely needs some QoL improvements and additions but it's a great and familiar foundation. The presentation of the campaign missions is excellent with the real world videos and narrative plus the gameplay is generally solid. I wish the UI had a bit more detail - it's clean but it all blends a bit too much plus the visuals need a bit more vibrancy and variety. Other than that, it's really good!
  6. Nuno Espirito Santo: Tottenham sack head coach after four months - BBC Sport WWW.BBC.CO.UK Tottenham Hotspur sack head coach Nuno Espirito Santo after just four months in charge. Steve Bruce incoming..
  7. He was definitely a bad fit and at the same time he was taking on a poisoned chalice essentially. There are a few players who are also heavily responsible and the board have to take a look at some of their signings. It would appear that a lot hinges on whether they can get Fonseca in over Newcastle. Just imagine if Nuno gets the boot and then Ryan Mason steps in again! In reality, Spurs should not have ridded Mourinho at the time but that was on just on many bad decisions made by the club in the last two and a half years.
  8. I'm hearing Nuno will be sacked within the next 2 hours.
  9. I loved AOE2 growing up and this game really captures the spirit of that which is great. The only thing holding me back is the price and there is some crucial things that need improving or adding that should have been dealt with during the playtest. It would be fantastic to get back into RTS gaming and this game is ideal but I'll probably see how things go next week.
  10. Spurs 0-3 Man Utd Absolutely pathetic result and performance by the look of things - Spurs now 2pts behind Arsenal despite having a 9pt head start. Also statistically one of the worst teams in the league and it defies belief they are in the top half. Nuno has to go and I think a total ownership change is needed else the club will go nowhere in that stadium. The team is a complete catastrophe and needs a major overhaul.
  11. It's a pretty sad state of affairs when fans are delighted that were are receiving the same amount of content day one than what we used to get back in 2009-10 at launch. Credit to Sledgehammer for delivering some quantity at least but whether the maps on offer along with the game itself has any quality is another matter. I don't like them recycling maps either because once Treyarch started doing that, they got awfully comfortable and their innovation and creativity nosedived. Sledgehammer shouldn't be rehashing other developers maps either and instead doing their own content from scratch. I still haven't found one reason to buy the game and this will be the first COD I don't own. I haven't seen 'hype' so flat since Infinite Warfare and this one could be received even worse now with Warzone such a high priority for the majority. I don't think my interest in Call of Duty has ever been so low and I probably wouldn't even play it if it was free.
  12. Deathloop down by 34% in the Steam Halloween sale. I never finished this game in the end because it got old fast sadly. I really enjoyed the first few hours but it soon became repetitive and tedious. The biggest culprit is the AI which is probably the worst I have ever encountered in a game and without a doubt, the most dissatisfying to go up against. It plays such a big part in the experience but the enemies are just so stupid, it's like playing a COD campaign mission on recruit over and over. They pose no threat, are easy to cheese and the game itself is very generous with 2 reprise (2 lives) per location which makes the game pathetically easy. You could in theory die 8 times in one loop and still finish the game. By nature of its design whereby you can infuse (retain) powers, weapons, perks and other boosts, Colt only gets stronger as the game progresses yet it's too easy even barebones. There are no difficulty settings either and the stealth elements are very weak because bodies disappear into Residuum so they don't need to be hidden. There are some good ideas in this game and I think the framework is there but the execution is way off in a few regards. Game is too easy and only gets easier by design and the AI is beyond horrendous. I think they probably could've done with twice as many locations too and a couple that are in the game aren't big or varied enough as it is. I don't care how much someone enjoyed the game or how lenient their review score threshold is, there is just no way this game deserves 10/10 under any credible circumstances.
  13. Some great news Oculus Quest VR headsets to eliminate mandatory Facebook account log-in requirement | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM You will soon no longer need a personal Facebook account in order to play your Oculus VR headset. It's also good that you can pick up a 128gb one for £299 now. As soon as they remove the Facebook requirement then this may become an interesting proposition especially with San Andreas now confirmed for VR. I'd love to play RE4 and Alyx this way. Anyhow, fuck Zuckerberg and Facebook.
  14. New map gameplay footage
  15. Even though he won silverware, Juande Ramos was an abomination for me - I remember going to WHL when we were bottom of the league in 2008-09 and we played out a nail-biting 2-0 win over Bolton after this regime was over. Felt like we won the cup again that day! We had a string of humiliating results against fairly weak sides after a strong pre-season. Cracking transformation under Harry though! I also hated the Andre Villa-Boas era although he made some decent signings that Poch would take on. The attractiveness of the football was mortifying to watch IMO though. Nuno is absolute wank so far - no consistency and the squad seems really disinterested and weak. It's crazy to see how stable West Ham are under Moyes. Whoever wins out of Spurs and United will lose in the long run though manager-wise.
  16. My understanding is that the responsibility is solely on the prop master in situations like this and the burden is not placed on the presumably untrained actor. If this is the standard procedure for movies then it's been very successful previous as this type of incident is almost unheard of and there has been thousands of films from amateur to blockbuster that haven't had such issues. Not sure why the assistant director handled the gun either. Baldwin probably has questions to answer from a producer standpoint but I can't see fault attributed to gun handling with the compulsory safety framework in place. Only if he was instructed and agreed to check weapons prior to usage will fault be assumed in this regard IMO but he very well may burn if corners were cut and things were ignored from his producer role. I try not to judge people on appearance but the armorer doesn't exactly look professional and from what I've read of the statements, her behaviour is far from it either. Firing guns on set without warning, giving child an unchecked gun and even admitting that she isn't up to the job prior in a podcast. She wont be trusted to run a lemonade stand now. Sounds like she only got the gig in the industry as her daddio was an established actor.
  17. New information has come to light today:- - A 'enormous' amount of live ammunition and blanks were discovered on set and mixed up - The armorer struggled to tell the difference between live ammunition and blanks - The armorer has also been subject of several complaints previous including firing a gun without notice on set and giving an unchecked pistol to an 11 year old child - Assistant director blindly took weapon off cart outside assuming it was safe with no communication with the armorer - 5 days before the shooting, a stunt double fired two live rounds after being told the gun had no ammunition - there were 3 accidental discharges recorded prior to the shooting - Cast members spent some downtime firing at cans in the desert presumably with the 3 weapons being used in the film Criminal charges are not being ruled out either. I think this will remain and health and safety issue with civil resolutions though.
  18. From what I understand, Alec was also a producer on the film and it sounds like the entire production was in total disarray with people walking off the set in protest of working conditions and a very non-confident junior doing the prop handling. People have criticised the likes of Tom Cruise for his strict approach in a producer capacity on the Mission Impossible films but the difference is absolutely night and day in terms of safety and execution especially with M:I being of blockbuster proportions. This should be the standard regardless of budget and everyone involved should be fully trained whether actor or even fringe staff. Alec Baldwin has worked in a few of those films and some other actions titles so he should have the experience to know how it works yet this one sounded like a complete low-budget catastrophe. However I don't blame him for the shooting but as an actor with his experience, I would not have been comfortable participating in the filming under the circumstances described at the time. Gun was declared safe by the junior armorer and the assistant director and Baldwin was then instructed to fire into a camera where at least two people were standing behind. People were missing doing their usually protests for social media brownie points and it was clear there weren't any safety protocols in place. It's a tragic and avoidable accident stemming from several negligence factors. I don't know if there is a sole entity to blame but it's a prime example of how not to do things especially in the lower-ends of this industry.
  19. And so it begins Battlefield 2042 introduces non-binary character, a first for the series | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM Sundance, the first playable, non-binary character in the shooter’s history, is here.
  20. This video is definitely authentic🤣
  21. Looks like Solskjaer intends to stay so the match next week against equally woeful Spurs will be very interesting. Nuno is probably on more thin ice than realised but I can't see Spurs offing another manager. Man Utd do have some great players but the squad composition is a total mess with so many attack-minded players, no stable midfield and a dreadful defence. It's one of the most unbalanced teams you will ever see and it was evident more than ever yesterday that it will not work against any organised outfit. They can powerhouse there way through weaker teams but United will struggle against even average sides with their current setup. There doesn't seem to be any real organisation or individual instructions and this will be the ultimate downfall of Ole and the gulf between him and the other top managers in the league is just insane. Any confidence restored in Maguire and Shaw after the summer is long gone too.
  22. This releases in 5 days Not sure if I'll be getting it yet though
  23. Full time Man Utd 0-5 Liverpool 6 bookings, 1 red card, disallowed goal The only blessing is that being 5-0 down after 50 and playing 30 minutes with 10 men, they were lucky it wasn't 0-7. 10 years and a day to the day United lost 6-1 at home to City too! That's Ole done for surely - the squad they have should be pushing for the title and it looked like they'd do that after hammering Leeds at the start. I think they've only netted 2pts out of 15 or something crazy!
  24. Here's an interesting video outlining some improvements made since the beta (or a version that proceeds the beta we played) - certainly some key UI changes along with some much-needed additions. Whilst not perfect and some other things required, it is certainly an important step I still think the UI does look a bit busy but some elements do look a lot tidier especially out of their placeholder aesthetic. I think the map control alerts still need to be integrated into the mini map portion of the screen though. There's still much work to be done and probably a lot has been since the beta version we played but it's nice to see the changes rather than going in completely blind until release.
