  1. But why didn't they instead focus on producing more content for the main game rather than skinning old assets and remaking old maps? Waste of internal resources. Battlefield 4 alone had over 80 primary weapons available at launch. 20 is absolutely dire. Portal will eventually fizzle out with no progression and then they'll be relying on the main modes for longevity but they ain't gonna get that with such little content.
  2. I'm having huge doubts about whether I should get this game. It just doesn't look very refined and the amount of content is disgraceful really. It'll probably be a case of 3 years down the line the game will be fairly polished and we'll get the quantity content and quality we should've got day one. It'll likely be yet another occasion where DICE and EA have failed to capitalise on Call of Duty's woes. If I do get the game, it will primarily be due to a lack of other titles this holiday season. I could see myself definitely putting in some hours of BF2042 but I'm not even sure if it'll keep me interested up to and beyond Christmas - something that every COD game since 2013 has failed to do. It's just laughable that there is more content in Portal than the main game. For all its technical problems, Battlefield 4 just nailed so much and I don't think it was fully appreciated until years down the line. The amount of guns, high quality maps and core gameplay were all outstanding. No matter what 2042 does, I can already tell they wont even come close to that.
  3. General consensus seems to be:- All-out warfare: Standard Battlefield-type modes with Conquest and Breakthrough although the latter is perhaps a bit messy with too many players chasing too few objective points. Sadly there is only 22 weapons available and 7 maps. Portal: Very promising portion of the game that brings back old content such as maps, guns and vehicles which can be customised into matches. Aside from a few reskins, it looks great. Shame it's tied just to priviate/non-ranked matches. Peace from specialists too! Also there will likely be more than twice as many guns in this mode than the actual bloody main game. Hazard Zone: Complete waste of time and utterly boring apparently. Similar to MW2019's spec ops missions where you land on a huge maps, complete few generic tasks and survive waves to enemy spam. Game still suffers from bugs but key UI issues have been addressed. Performance is still a bit iffy on higher-end devices and with no console early access, that may also ring alarm bells.
  4. Price will be dropped from $60 to $40 which is still $25 too much IMO.

  7. Bad news
  8. Song list released - doesn't appear to be many omitted from the originals which is a surprise and a few unconfirmed whether they are in the game or not based on early footage but on the whole, excellent news! Vice City's song list alone is glorious Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition Full Song List Confirmed - IGN WWW.IGN.COM Rockstar has confirmed the full song lists from Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition.
  9. Looks like this game needs a lot of work - some inexcusable problems it seems
  10. These are legit - looks like they've done an excellent job with Vice City.

  13. My biggest worries is the music licences - the radio stations are some of the most iconic and memorable aspects of these games and if songs are removed then it will kill off a lot of the spirit of these games. I'm also a bit iffy about the cartoony characters in Vice City although they do look good in San Andreas. A lot of fake footage going around - it's mostly existing mods which Rockstar shut down. Shame because some of the work that has gone into these have been absolutely extraordinary and will still likely upstage the Definitive Editions.
  14. French campaign done which was good fun
  15. Yeah, I had 3 and 4 and within one hour you literally have 50 cars and enough money to buy everything. It's a real shame really because if there was a challenge there, it would be a very rewarding and satisfying game. You could literally win races just driving on grass and hitting every obstacle that came your way. It's one of the most polished and well-presented series's out there but I wish they didn't make it so easy.
  16. Only 3 days to go and still no gameplay...
  17. Apparently if you pre-ordered the Gold or Ultimate edition, you can play the game from the 12th onward. Basically pay 80% extra and get a week early. Fuck that. The one true blessing is that at least we'll be able to see how it plays and the state it's in. If it's anything like the beta then I wont even buy the game.
  18. He's only been gone 4 years😂
  19. What a terrible thing this was and some of the witness accounts are absolutely shocking. Eight people between 14 and 27 confirmed dead with over 25 still in hospital and hundreds injured. Although it's too early to say what caused the crush, there was a definite influx of people who broke in to the venue during the day and through the evening. There did seem to be some segregation at play though so it likely wasn't just a matter of everyone who sneaked in at the back suddenly caused a surge, but that has to be a factor which shouldn't have happened regardless. The lack of security in place for an event of this magnitude was shocking and totally inadequate - there should have been multiple perimeters/checkpoints with a substantial amount of staff on duty and clearly visible. There didn't seem to be any presence there aside from a few horses and some security dressed in black. Concert should have been postponed after this breach but money was obviously the flavour of the day. 50,000 at a venue that small was already high-risk. As the event kicked off, clearly there was a number of people in difficulty but Travis Scott continued to play on even with a dead body being paraded to the front of the stage. He did halt a couple of times but then proceeded and people at the back didn't have a clue what was going on at the front it seems which caused more surges. Only when people began to throw stuff and desperately get the attention of a camera man did things finally become more of an emergency but Travis once again played on. When ambulances started pulling in, fans jumped on them and were dancing on the roof as paramedics struggled to reach people in need. As per usual, Travis continued to perform. His girlfriend Kylie Jenner started videoing the scenes and in typical tasteless fashion, she uploaded it to Instagram. Travis still going strong with his song. Only when tens of ambulances were on the scene and the front section in complete visible distress did the organisers finally pull the plug. Travis's buddy Drake starts uploading to social media like nothing has happened, praising the show. Disgraceful. I can't imagine how terrifying it was for anyone involved and this is once again another disaster from this event who saw 3 people killed previous. Terrible organisation and despicable ethics from Scott himself who is now playing the cards used to distance themselves from lawsuits. His girlfriend has made a throwaway statement which was probably written by her PR team in about 20 seconds. Such an avoidable tragedy and events like these need some reform to prevent things like this from happening. The disregard some people showed for others when breaking in was simply disgusting and even a security guard was stabbed with a needle and rendered unconscious. People dancing on ambulances and preventing people literally yards away getting treatment is just horrifying. Travis Scott and his team have a lot to answer for as does the wild animals who caused all that destruction and likely precipitated all the issues in the evening.
