  1. What is everyone using as their current primary weapon? I barely used AR's in BO2 but the Ghosts ones seemed much more appealing. I started with the SC-2010 but have moved on to the Remington R5. I have plenty of squad points in the bank so I will look to experiment using as many guns as possible across the classes but so far I'm happy with the Remi. The Honey Badger looks very popular too among my killcams against me! Here is a list if you're struggling identifying your guns...like me http://www.codghosts.net/weapons-list/
  2. Just played my first game on Flooded and that map is hideous! Strikezone seems pretty chaotic too with the central point pure carnage. Lobbed a Sentry Gun in the mix on Kill Confirmed and earned about 15 kills from it! I checked out Free Fall in Squads playing Domination and it's pretty bad and unbalanced.
  3. Ah thank you for the clarity there. Is there any way to counter them? I am still trying to adjust to the huge amount of perks on show!
  4. I think I prefer the standard UAV to the SAT COM; I still haven't quite worked out all the ins and outs of the new killstreak but with the classic UAV, you knew where you stood with it. Does anyone have any idea of how the SAT COM actually works in various situations? Thanks guys
  5. Haha! Well I'm Oxford United - they are the true meaning of garbage but for some reason we are second in League 2 at the minute:-0 2 points off the top and 3pts off the bottom half of the table it is that tight.
  6. Has anyone played on the DLC map Free Fall yet? I haven't had it come up once on my rotation yet - looks a bit horrible though!
  7. Apologies if this has already been posted but has anybody seen this? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-24834842 Sounds like the game runs very well on the current systems and hopefully they can iron out any performance issues before launch on the PS4. Hope we don't have a situation where the next gen version is a step forward but two back in the way it runs.
  8. Arsenal 1-0 up in Dortmund with Aaron Ramsey scoring yet again! All the Gunners fans were saying before the season he should go back to Cardiff as he's garbage but he must have scored in practically ever game so far
  9. Yep! EA have really pushed the boat out on the next gen trying to capture real the football presentation feel. New camera angles enhance the quality of replays and as you mentioned; the 3D crowd - the cardboard fans looks bloody awful in this day and age and compared to the likes of Madden, NBA 2K14 and MLB The Show; FIFA has always looked appalling next to fellow sports games. I think EA Sports have been strapped for bandwidth which is why FIFA looks poor on current systems but finally on the PS4 it will be closer to the real thing.
  10. Cheers BoroVC!
  11. I loved the first season of The Walking Dead and I've just seen the second is now available to pre-purchase on Steam for £17.09! As I bought the first season on disc for the 360 with all 5 episodes, I didn't have the agonising wait in between but I am truly pumped to resume the story where I left off in episode 5 and then will just play the waiting game for the other four installments. Anyone else a fan? I didn't expect too much from the game but it was incredibly engrossing and dramatic at times and one of the best titles of the gen in my opinion. I just hope they add more depth to decisions which could derail the story instead of a linear tale where a set route is pretty much a cert no matter what your actions are. 12. Thanks very much guys!
  13. FIFA 14 looks pretty mint on the next gen; definitely will be my first purchase for the PS4. I had the current one on the 360 and it's not bad but incredibly slow and dull sometimes. Looks like the new one is pretty fast and fluid with a new engine and improved textures. I didn't expect much from the FIFA 14 on the current systems though but at least I will be able to get £40 on trade-in at GAME so the next gen version will cost practically nothing!

    BF4 issues

I had to give up with Battlefield 4 because the servers kept crashing and I lost a lot of gameplay data on Double XP weekend. Battlelog also caused my computer to crash numerous times and after not being able to connect to a single match on monday; I threw in the towel. I didn't think much of the game anyway - I loved BF3 but 4 just seemed too buggy and the maps weren't as memorable as we saw previously in the series. Thank the lord for Call of Duty the day after though!
  15. I am having to Google the names as I can't remember them off the top of my head (lol) but my favourite map so far has been Overlord - it looks and feels like a typical Call of Duty map and is quite tidy to play regarding spawns and its general size. Freight and Octane are also a blast on most gametypes as they seem well balanced and not too large. I am still on the fence with a few others. I haven't been overly enthralled by Sovereign or Chasm though. Any thoughts from you guys? Here is the complete list saving you looking up the names on Google if you're struggling! http://www.codghosts.net/multiplayer-maps/
  16. I quite like Ghosts; it feels like an old-skool Call of Duty but in some instances, they've taken one step forward and two back. I am disappointed that theater mode has been omitted and me playing on PC; it makes identifying and reporting hackers that little bit more tricky. I am also sad to see the combat record disappear;- although Infinity Ward go through the Barracks to display stats, on Ghosts it is incredibly watered-down. No in-depth challenges and confusing menus really drag down the presentation for me. The worst thing I have noticed is the spawns;- I either spawn right next to an enemy in the firefight or so far away from the action; I am running around like a headless chicken trying to desperately get back into the mix. Hope they can fix this and I'm sure improvements will be made as the maps are sizable and detailed. On the positives; I love the guns and the customisation options. The maps are very good also but some are a bit messy and look rough around the edges. I like the fact we have various scales from small to large instead of the small to medium as we've seen in the last couple of games. The new modes are really enjoyable - a nice twist on some existing gametypes but add enough to warrant a new playlist. It's still a bit early for me to say whether this is the best in the franchise so far but some elements I really like but other aspects of the game being watered down is disappointing. Having a blast with it though!
  17. I haven't touched the campaign yet and from what I've heard; I could probably start at breakfast and finish by lunch it's that short! The story seems fairly original and inspired but this is either a loose tribute to a IW game that the current team didn't make but will try and claim credit for or it's plain old ripping it to cut corners! Jury's out on this one..
  18. I'm James from Oxford! Had this site recommended to me and after spying for a couple of days, I've bitten the bullet and registered. Looking forward to chatting to you all and seeing your contributions. I am currently on the PC although I am primarily a console gamer but have put my Xbox back in the box until the next generation is out....where I'll probably be getting a PS4:-0 Many thanks peeps
