  1. He is a brilliant player and could really bolster United in key areas they are lacking. Mata didn't train today apparently so a deal could be in motion and £35m is something Chelsea won't turn down. I think Mourinho has made a mistake all year not playing him but there is nothing keeping him at Chelsea now so it'll be a good move for all parties.
  2. I see Man Utd have brought Emile Heskey in on emergency loan as cover for RVP and Rooney for tonight's match. Great signing
  3. I've recently been following a fantastic charity based in Oxfordshire who help disabled people engage in videogames using specially engineered and modified controllers to enable them enjoy something we all take for granted on a daily basis. Some of the work this organisation has done has been remarkable and the stories from the people have been truly inspiring. It really puts into perspective the pointless squabbles we see too often on Call of Duty! To learn more; have a browse at http://www.specialeffect.org.uk/ There is also the SpecialEffect GameBlast 24 hour endurance fundraiser that a few of you may be interested in http://www.specialeffect.org.uk/gameblast Thanks for reading
  4. I've read bits and bobs about this function and was wondering if you were able to record, edit and store clips on your PS4 HDD and watch them on the system without having to upload to either FB or YT? Also if you tap the button once; does that record the last 15 minutes of gameplay and tapping twice lets you record from that moment onwards? Thanks!
  5. 5 mins left. West Ham are 250,000,000-1 to reach the final now. I may put a tenner on actually
  6. OTT much? http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/126701-fbi-interrogates-google-glass-user-after-pulling-him-from-a-us-cinema The world has really gone to shit
  7. 3-0 City! West Ham only need 10 though..
  8. Another trailer http://www.charlieintel.com/2014/01/21/new-ghosts-onslaught-dlc-codnapped-trailer/
  9. West Ham are 0-2 down to Man City and now need 9 goals to win! I think they can do it
  10. Hitman franchise pack just £5.99 from £29.99 which includes the original, Silent Assassin, Bloody Money and Absolution. Fantastic deal! Or seperately: Hitman: Codename 47 £0.99p Hitman 2: Silent Assassin £0.99p Hitman: Bloody Money £1.39 Hitman Absolution £3.99
  11. Paul Ince sacked as Blackpool manager! No real surprise there. I don't think they've won a game since waaaaay before Xmas. I swear they were top for a few weeks at the beginning but just like last season; they've plummeted.
  12. I completely forgot about him I thought he was past it last year too. I remember the Spurs game at Old Trafford when Tottenham won 3-2 and Rio was being torn apart all game and was responsible for the first two goals. I agree with Rich about him becoming a coach. He may seem a bit thick and lacking personality but he has plenty of experience and at times can talk a lot sense.
  13. This is a pretty realistic portrayal to be fair!
  14. Looks like it will be arriving on late next month http://mp1st.com/2014/01/20/battlefield-4-second-assault-allegedly-coming-platforms-late-february/ I seriously cannot wait for this DLC. It may be recycled but they had made sweeping improvements to each map. Here is a closer look at Operation Metro taken from the Xbox One Second Assault DLC and it's an incredible step up from the Battlefield 3 version;
  15. Haha! I can't believe West Brom fielded him last night too. He's now been officially charged but he will inevitably leave for the UAE or some Turkish team probably and could be out the door at the end of the month so he may not even be here to see his punishment!
  16. What does everyone think of the Anelka situation? Judgement day from the FA tomorrow on the punishment which looks to be a 5 game ban certainty. WBA have lost their sponsor Zoopla too who pulled out before the Everton game tonight. I didn't understand what the gesture was about when I first heard about it but it seems to have caused quite a bit of controversy and if it is deemed racist; then he should be punished.
  17. Does anyone actually know what Sledgehammer were responsible for when working with IW on MW3 and Ghosts? I would love to see them deliver their own interpretation of a COD game whilst using Treyarch for inspiration and Black Ops 2 as a template for how Call of Duty should be designed. BO2 really ticked many boxes although not perfect by any means. The rewards for objective play, the colourful pallet, wealth of modes and the pick 10 system were memorable strides in the series for me. I hope Sledgehammer don't start with Modern Warfare 4 as that would seem as if they were just filling in the annual gap and using the MW brand as a major selling point. I'd have a lot of respect for them if they started with a blank canvas and crafted out a unique and memorable game. COD 4 and MW2 were very special games for me and although I'd love to see another game of that tone and setting; after MW3, I think they'll be pushing a tired story. A prequel may be the only way. Even WaW 2 would be a good move taking the franchise back to it's roots although the younger lot would probably not warm to such an era!
  18. I'm seeing quite a few rumours on the circuit that suggest Sledgehammer games will be making the next Call of Duty game meaning the franchise will adopt a three year development rotation. If true, this will essentially give the developers a 3 year development window. I think 36 months should be the standard development timeframe for games within Call of Duty and it is a pity they didn't opt for this sooner even with just IW and Treyarch on their books. Then again; there is no way Activision would miss out on hundreds of millions in bunce just for the sake of product quality So it looks like we'll be lumbered with X amount of years of annual COD games and all the crap that comes with it. The rumuor mill also suggests that Modern Warfare 4 may be the game to introduce Sledgehammer to the crows nest. Assuming this isn't bollocks; I am glad Treyarch have an extra year to prepare what could be Black Ops 3. I think they did incredibly well with BO2 with the features, modes, gameplay elements and superb presentation in contrast to the original Black Ops which also impressed but was ultimately dated.
  19. Some new Destiny pics http://mp1st.com/2014/01/18/new-destiny-screens-showcase-mars-venus/#.Ut1JsxDFJD8 Looks brilliant!
  20. I think if David Moyes receives no backing in this transfer window; either he'll walk away at the end of the season or the board will sack him in the summer. He has the toughest job in football and in all honesty, the squad he was left with after taking over from Sir Alex wasn't the best despite United being champions. Last year they were pretty poor but managed to win the league by scraping wins and taking advantage of other teams inconsistencies. Ideally he should have been backed right of the bat in the summer but he missed out on several targets and only managed to land Fellaini at last-knockings at quite a hefty price. I don't think the board did enough in supporting him at this crucial time which lead to an 11th hour panic buy. I think they could have done with at least 5 players in the summer and really need that sort of volume this month if there is going to be any drastic turnaround in fortunes and to build on in the future. I don't think Young, Valencia, Nani, Jones and Cleverley are up to the standards despite winning the title 8 months previous and even the likes of Rafael and Vidic are performing well below-par. The magic of Fergie really grinded out success last season but it's proving a bridge too far for Moyes as the confidence and standard of football diminishes. The remainder of the season along with this month will be crucial for the club. As it stands; they may not be in Europe next year. They desperately need rejuvenating and strengthening else they could sink and lose the likes of RVP and Rooney to rivals. Ultimately United need to get some personnel in this window and if they don't; it will suggest the future of Moyes is in question. Either he will lose faith or the board have no confidence and the rest of the season will be damage limitation. The rebuilding should have started in the summer and that could prove pivotal if it hasn't already. The football isn't of a high standard, the results haven't been and the players have been well below par.
  21. The first time I piloted a helicopter, I had 2 other people with me and the pressure was really on to perform. I proceeded from the spawn into the air and then happen to fly backwards off of the map killing us all. I pretended that my mouse slipped but that excuse did not wash with my team. I didn't want to admit I couldn't fly for shit so I just proceeded to say I was under the influence of alcohol in which my players eventually understood after they spammed the chat box with a lot of naughty words. I have not flown since but I am drunk regularly. I can't fly planes or drive tanks either. I suck.
  22. Just bought FIFA 14 on PS4. Pity I don't have a PS4 though!
