  2. Xbox 360 owners did upgrade.... ...to PS4 Anyone who hasn't upgraded can't afford to at present because the Xbox One is a rip-off even Kinectless and when they have got that sort of money; a PS4 makes more sense I think Microsoft are absolutely desperate and are just trying to convince themselves that everything is fine. The amount of u-turns they are doing is unheard of and just shows how ridiculous their initial policies were. They should rename the console Xbox One-eighty for all the u-turns they do.
  3. How times change! This was the ball back when Scotland last qualified: This was Scotland when they last won a game
  4. I thought I'd do a thread about people's hopes and demands for this game. So Ghosts wasn't quite the innovation we were promised or expecting. A few things renamed but the premise was all too similar. I think Advanced Warfare has the opportunity to really change the infrastructure of the game with perks expected to be attached to the suit and not the usual list that we've seen before renamed or not. This could be pretty neat if we get things like jump boosts and extra cloaking seconds or something as opposed to the usual stuff that we've seen before such as Steady Aim. I think the perk system has been really good in the franchise particularly when balanced and to diversify between modes accordingly but I'd love to see it overhauled into something different. The one thing about Ghosts that I hated was the Squad Point system. They were far to easy to earn and the challenge was all but extinguished in terms of unlocking weapons and attachments. This used to be very satisfying in the likes of MW2 especially when going for camo and attachments. You often had to use things you weren't used of or comfortable with but that made it even more worthwhile and enjoyable to accomplish. Without this core challenge and just perks to unlock; you'd see everyone rolling the likes of Honey Badger and other overly-popular items. This was a major factor in why I got bored very quickly. I also want the Prestige system to be scrapped or modified. I love a grind but ranking in COD of late has become so easy and dissatisfying; prestige only seems to represent how much you play the game now; it doesn't demonstrate the player you are and how good you play. It seems to be dumbed-down to keep people interested without the long term chore but many players would loved to have accomplishments that actually show the effort you have put in. Battlefield 4 has a superb structure; 120 levels to sift though, medals, assignments, weapons, attachments, basically everything on offer has to be unlocked based on a catalogue of requirements such as kills, score, heals, revives etc...Battlepacks also add something new and sometimes it's nice to see some good stuff being unlocked that way. It's like a present every time you rank up. You can't beat seeing an XP bonus of 200% in your gold Battlepack. It makes ranking satisfying and you don't know what you're going to get. The assignment and general attachments unlocks provide a challenge and aren't rank unlock dependent. This gives you the opportunity to be responsible for what you can earn without relying on just a ranking level to unlock items. The challenge is basically down to you and you can choose what and when you want to attempt to unlock certain things. This is a brilliant format which offers huge depth and rewards you accordingly based on your performances. I hope the maps are rich and varied. I hated the core maps on Ghosts and the DLC weren't that much of an improvement. Freight echoed a good Call of Duty styled map but the likes of Chasm represented everything that we didn't want to see with embarrassing dynamic features. Everything felt lackluster and dated. I'm hoping that if we have super jumps and more vertices gameplay. I'm not hoping for Titanfall-inspired window jumping into buildings but I'd love to see some elevation in the map design if jumping is going to be a feature in the multiplayer. I hope the player count may be upped to 12v12 or something and that the maps are sizable but not oversized. I'd love to see more atmosphere and effects such as rain and snow. The current maps are rather bland and simple. Whiteout had a really good look and vibe to it but it was pretty basic. I want them to do away with this camo DLC culture and tacky game mode inclusions. Just have a popular playlist and no novelty items. Ghosts bordered on the ridicilous with Snoop Dog and a load of shoddy DLC. They really need to change the Microtransaction format. It's a good idea; it's not pay to win or anything but it's hardly being utilized in a mature and appealing manner. I'd love to see a map a month or something that continuously engages the gamer. A new weapon per class a month or anything that keeps the dry periods filled with content regardless of the Xbox exclusivity. To think of what COD used to be and what it has become is depressing. The commercial side is so samey and predicable and when they do finally do something different; it's farcical. If you had told me Snoop Dog was commentating on COD just 2 years ago; I wouldn't have believed it. Now it's happened; it's just stupid. I don't know who they are catering for or the who their target audience has become but the brand is derailing itself from normality. I hope Sledgehammer take a more sensible and mature route to keep the brand and their game consistent with what the series initially was. Black Ops 2 only brought the Peacekeeper, Ghosts has had a couple of guns but BF4 is offering plenty of weapons and items per DLC drop along with solid maps and new modes. These packs are great value but COD is just scrapping for anything it seems because they know they'll sell it to some. I want AW to represent huge quality and justify itself as the most lucrative brand in gaming.
  5. The only thing I'm dreading about the World Cup is this wanker
  6. and they still do to this day Basically any midget cunt that plays for Argentina is a cheating wanker
  7. I am not a massive fan of futuristic games but that won't be a major put-off for me on AW. I just don't want COD to drift too far from its identity. I was there from day one when it was a classic war-based shooter and the risk they took bringing it into the modern era with COD 4 paid off as it gave a believable portrayal that people could relate to and scope to expand the weapons and technology. Advanced Warfare is bordering on fictional and a vision of what the future may hold but I don't want this risk to fall into the realms of fantasy with an unfamiliar style that drifts too far from the Call of Duty formula. I think it's a risk Sledgehammer are taking although it does open the floodgates to interpretation of the future and a wealth of funky new technology that could be fun to use. I just don't want the franchise distancing itself from it's popular roots. People want innovation and the game to move forward but that doesn't mean it has to go deep into the future. They could have retained the current era and made a solid game out of that or even looked to the past. Black Ops 2 was a grounded multiplayer game and distanced itself away from the single player which kept the MP fairly sensible and not overly-chaotic. I hope Sledgehammer keeps the hallmarks of COD MP without going over the top.
  8. I can categorically say, Argentina have never had 1 decent striker in their history!
  9. Fixed that for you
  10. First official screen
  11. After the devastation of the Devastation map pack and Ghosts in general; I am not putting another penny into this useless game I miss the days when you had to earn camo and it was sensible instead of buying it.
  12. I've pre-ordered on PS4 as it's not gonna be on PC. This game is why I invested in a PS4
  13. New packs on the way next week
  14. So it'll be £350 in the UK Kinectless! What a ripoff still. From the BBC Microsoft said it made the decision to unbundle the Kinect to give gamers "more options". Really? It sounds like they know Kinect has failed embarrassingly and that its only primary use is so people don't have the chore of pressing buttons. Game developers don't seem to be using the tech as a primary concern as it's risky and ultimately a fad. I gamed on Xbox for 7 years and I'm glad I threw in the towel with them after their initial policy release when announcing the One. I felt they stabbed me in the back and I knew that the console would wobble regardless of any retractions at the 11th hour. It's now like they're making it up as they go along and that they have no strategy going forward. The One has been a disaster from day one and I can't see it turning around.

  16. My money is on Greece
  17. Gotcha! Yeah, it seems now sales are more important than quality of the game in some peoples eyes. I mean One Direction are fucking shit but that doesn't stop 50 million people buying their crap. Titanfall hype clouded judgements and Call of Duty could sell it's own brand of dogshit and the fanboys would lap it up annually. I hate this culture of sales means success. Ghosts is one of the weakest FPS games in recent years and categorically did not deserve the sales it got. The shitty reviews were justified but the game itself was awful in this day and age. Brands will always dominate these days over quality in most markets. Advertising and marketing is a powerful tool and COD has all the ammunition.
  18. Microsoft are selling consoles without Kinect next month for $400. Seems Microsoft are teetering on the brink of desperation! Oh and two months ago http://uk.ign.com/articles/2014/02/25/xbox-one-microsoft-isnt-planning-on-removing-kinect
  19. Can't believe Jermain Willem Defoe is shocked that he is only on the standby list. Did he really think his England opportunities would grow with a move to Toronto!? Tottenham needed goals at the time he left and if he stayed; that would've been a massive opportunity to fill the void and improve his chances in his home country. He would have been better joining QPR or fucking Brentford.
  20. I want AW to have the connection of IW games and the brilliance of Treyarch titles. We've never had a satisfactory happy medium with COD. If they get these factors right; COD will be back with a bang and justified.
  21. Tim Sherwood saked! On paper; his record is pretty good but it seems Spurs don't feel he's the man to take them forward. I thought he did a pretty good job in the time he had. I can see him going to WBA now. I think he's been a bit mistreated by the club and despite his occasionally bizarre statements; it's a bit of a shame.
  22. Another video from Pax East Looking sexy and that ginger bird hosting isn't bad either
  23. Agree. Call of Duty for me has long lost its challenge. Prestige just means how much you've played the game and not really how good you are or what you do. I miss the days of challenge unlocks and having to grind for things such as camo or call signs. Ghosts was far too easy with squad points and everything was laid out on a plate for the get-go minus the perks. I banked nearly 1000 squad points and unlocked pretty much everything. Prestige used to be a satisfying thing to reach but now it's just reflective of how much you play the game and what modes. Weeks before Xmas; people were 10th on PC through just playing Cranked. I'd rather have a challenging grind to last the duration than being able to sail through a game in a matter of weeks. Titanfall is plain-sailing up until the latter levels of the generation and then it really gets tricky.
  24. Brace yourselves people. New screenshot Fucking epic
