  1. Exactly my issue when I was playing Killzone Shitfall. I've looked at getting additions to the sticks including the lifts and grips but I may just say fuck it and get a custom controller instead. The DS4 is fine for any other games especially the ones that don't rely on fast pace and continual movements but it was just a bit horrible in Killzone with sprinting and general moving. I'm more used to the Xbox controllers but even the PS3 one felt much more comfortable than the DS4 was for me.
  2. How is everyone coping with the standard DS4 controller with FPS games on the PS4? I hated it will KZ:SF but wasn't sure if it was the game that was ropey or the controller. If I get AW for the PS4; I'd need an alternative controller. I was fine whenever I was on the PS3 but the latest one feels awkward to me. My left stick is also being worn out to buggery.
  3. Satcoms were fucking retarded! UAV is the king of COD and they replaced it with some radius-based shitty 1970's record player with a mini cold war satellite dish that randomly spawns when you earn it.
  4. A closer look at the pick 13 screen Looks a very neat user interface and a carbon-copy of the Black Ops 2 style. Much better than the cluttered mess that was Ghosts. UAV's really 700pts though?
  5. Dean Hall has announced at Gamescom that DayZ will be appearing on PS4 sometime in the future - probably 2020 by my reckoning! Pure greed from the devs though - use money generated from the early access purchases on Steam which was funded to get the game to release and now they're using that to get the PS4 version to market and compete with H1Z1 while the PC version is still way off completion.
  6. I was watching Family Guy last night on BBC Three and it was the viewer mail episode with the infinity Robin Williams's. So tempted to watch Mrs Doubtfire later
  7. Black Ops 2 was a very polished futuristic representation with a varied colour pallet, slick menus, tidy UI and well-organised HUD. Ghosts looked dated, had dreary textures and a very bleak backdrop along with a weak interpretation of the near future. The menus were bland and unspectacular and the HUD was a cluttered mess. I'm glad Sledgehammer have taken the positives of the recent games along with their own ideas on presentation and their understanding of what the future can hold. Not a whiff of the new IW or Ghosts is a hugely encouraging and bodes well for AW.
  8. Very sad news. One of my favorite actors growing up with quick-wit and snappy creativity. Mrs Doubtfire was a truly fantastic and funny film. RIP indeed
  9. I like the Family Guy piss take of the awards They got it spot on with the parody
  10. No Kill Confirmed by the look of things.
  11. I believe that was the smart grenade that detects players. Thermal is also a cloaking counter. Cloaked players are easy to spot on the eye too by the look of things and if you shoot them whilst cloaked; they'll be exposed just like in Titanfall.

  13. Virtual Lobby Interface Confirmed maps so far: Bio Lab – Part of a snowy secret base, this map features both close quarters indoor combat along with long range outdoor terrain with added verticality for quick and fast-paced action. Use your Exo Boost to take the action to the rooftops. Riot – Set in a bombed out prison after a devastating riot, this penitentiary still has some defense mechanisms active. Crafted to utilize a classic 3-lane approach, this map two large open areas on both sides of the map along with a large cell block in the center for an all-comers shoot-out that thrusts players right into the action. Ascend – Taking place in a futuristic Space Elevator terminal, this location features a map-based Scorestreak that allows players to call in the turret defenses. Ascend also was designed with a clean 3-lane format and a verticality that is tailor made for exoskeleton abilities. Defender – In the shadow of the Golden Gate Bridge, an abandoned bunker features open gameplay and is a perfect showcase for the new exoskeleton abilities. An added aspect to this map is the dynamic event. A tsunami hits with strategic regularity and changes a good portion of the map. 17. Didn't like the trailer but the footage during the presentation showed much more impressive set-pieces and aspects of the game that I enjoyed. Maps look pretty decent - nicely sized, good effects and more open as opposed to all this tight-knit campy ones and stupidly large ones in Ghosts.
  18. Uplink looks a really good fun mode - basically basketball! Hardpoint is back! Domination is round-based tho
  19. Creat a class/solider has been renamed to 'Create an Operator' - wonder how long it took them to come up with that
  20. Footage outside the trailer looks pretty good
  21. What an anti-climax. The jumping looks fucking stupid, the weapons and general sounds seem weak and it probably looks worse and more soulless than Titanfall. Not impressed at first glance.
