Thankfully I was lucky enough to pick up the entire collection when it was on Humble Bundle for $12 - it really was a once in a lifetime deal. Thankfully CK3 has a a lot of those features already in the game that appeared throughout the CK2 DLC and is much more user friendly.

Credible rumours going around that Cold War will only have 8 playable maps at launch with Nuketown following a couple of weeks later. If this is true then it’s a travesty regardless of how many are drip-fed in the coming months. Those will probably be rehashed ones (Jungle, Summit, Firing Range) too. What’s worse is that barely any can accommodate 6v6. I really hope this isn’t true because it could be a devastating dealbreaker for me. We should be getting at least 15 6v6 maps right off the bat. Seems they are just supporting too many modes which have their own specific maps. Haven't got the expansion yet but I've done the introductory mission and had a mooch around the land. Seems decent from what I've seen although I'm rusty as hell! Enemies seem to be more challenging and the world looks great. Not sure if it's varied or grand enough in relation to the content that has been removed but it's too early for me to judge after my brief experience with it. Very tough decision I'll have to make in the next couple of days because it's a toss up between this, Cold War and Valhalla. I'll definitely have a deeper look tomorrow though. Game looks stunning right off the bat Anyone else been on yet? Took a good 3 hours to get into the game because of the server issues and then queue!

CK2 is now free to play I believe.

It's more of a strategy/RPG surrounding the creation and expansion of your dynasty with characters. CIV is more of a land-based conquer game.

Apparently they've done away with the shitty level gating and filler side missions which is great. It's now a power level and much less grindy. Still has the casual things like x-ray vision, no fall damage and climb anything anywhere plus it's still a long game but removing that painful grind so they can sell boosters could make a huge difference.

Sony hasn't released a whitelist of compatible 3rd party drives yet (probably because they want to sell their own first but those aren't ready in time) but it will have to be an M.2 NVME SSD. Apparently the extra slot that houses such thing wont even be active on release which is even more cuntish from Sony and it will require a hardware OS update. The price range for these currently are around £110-230. A top-end Samsung 970 is £70 for 250gb. Market may get shaken up when Sony's are out and more information on compatibility is available. Bog-standard SSD's and high capacity HDD's likely wont work even just to store basic installation data.

This is now being touted as an equivalent to Anthem in terms of its success, business model and quality. To make a loss like that on a game that is supposed to milk people is quite embarrassing. Even a shitshow EA or Ubisoft game can still rake in an eight-figure profit. -

I don't actually think EA were entirely to blame for the demise of BioWare. They gave them huge development windows that they never would have got under any other publisher, along with substantial budgets, but for some reason since 2013 it's been a total internal shitshow. If anything, EA probably should have kept a closer eye on them so they probably are to blame for that to a degree, but shockingly, I don't think they did much wrong in this case. Anthem was the biggest culprit that held them back for a good 7 years - should've canned that in 2015 really.

There is also a brand new Mass Effect game coming too which BioWare will probably screw up. At least the first 3 are a pretty safe bet.

That was a great map and I'm not sure it's ever been remade either. It's like a perfect 3-lane map at a time when they weren't deliberately going for this type of design. Even the clocks on Grid told the correct time it was that good🤣

I've heard that Beyond Light is gonna be smaller than even Forsaken - I loved that expansion and got quite a few hours out of it but considering all the content being taken out of the game, is anyone concerned that the new package is gonna be a bit threadbare? Although I didn't bother with much of the vanilla content as time wore on, it was still nice to know it was there and it did beef up the game as a whole.

I'll be bloody happy to play Bloodbourne at 60fps - I always got a migraine playing that on the PS4 as not only did it run around the 30 mark, it was also the least smooth expirence I've ever had at this framerate which made it unplayable for me. 60fps would be a gamechanger.
