When I built my current PC, I was the same. I was bricking every moment and all the wires looked confusing as hell. I was tempted to get my cousin to build it for me as he built my brothers, but after my brother had issues with his PC, I decided to not trust him and do the build myself. I followed a youtube video step by step and paused at every stage, while also looking at the manuals which come with the products. Honestly, it's pretty straight forward to do and feels very rewarding once it's up and running. I did have a time when I started to get frustrated with it but I had a friend on whatapp that was able to guide me through it. In your case, you just need to ask here.

How does this work with his age? Doesn't he need to pay for this? My current situation is unemployed, I have been since I was made redundant during my partners pregnancy. Due to anxiety issues relating to me and my partner, it means I haven't reentered work as it'd be difficult for her to cope on her own with our daughter. Now our daughter is 3, it makes life a little easier as she's now much more independent. So we now live with partners mum but god damn she pisses me off. I want to get us all out as soon as I can but due to my current situation, I don't have a clue where to even start. Even just thinking about how I can make this work is difficult as my partner still relies on me to do some things like going out or travelling. I've been thinking of trying to get a night job, maybe in a warehouse or something but I just feel lost right now.

Splinter Cell: Conviction now complete. The game took some getting used to, the movement of Sam, no hacking, no picklocking, no climbing through various small vents. The enemies and mainly the number at which they appear can be a little brutal and a few sections you are swarmed by them.

I'm listening to the first video and I'm sure I've heard another version before. This is the thing that gets me about classical music. There is so many different variations with all these long confusing names, different orchestras, composers etc. Compared to other types of music, this is the hardest to actually understand. I second what @Plumbers Crack suggested and you give us all a classical music thread. I'd love to hear your favourites or even the more obscure pieces you listen to.

Hello @MogwaiPower, welcome to FG. While I couldn't name you any pieces, I love classical music and listen to a lot of Johann Sebastian Bach, and when out and about I usually listen to Classical F.M. Violin is probably one of my favourite classical instruments, along side cello. I'm opting to currently learn electric guitar for metal music mostly, and also the ability to use an amp with headphones and and not disturb others.

Really like them oats! Currently I'm on a huge bag of Mornflake oats because they was on sale 😂. I usually add a teaspoon of jam to mine. If I don't eat porridge, I have weetabix with sliced banana.

I haven't jumped on for ages 😔 I always get lost on what to do once logged in. I wonder if we could pick a day or time to get some people on to look at some of the minigames currently available, if people feel like a break from the world we have it might be something to consider. Also anyone who has MineCraft Java but isn't on the list or hasn't spoken up yet, do so now and I can get you whitelisted!

Had a couple of days just playing random games but now back to my Splinter Cell list. I started Conviction tonight and so far it seems pretty good with one huge setback, what the hell have they done to Sam's movement? I'm using a controller but it just feels super awkward now. The movement for walking and running while both standing and crouched feels accelerated. Climbing pipes and moving along them also looks like a fast shuffle, I wish they didn't change this about the series as it's a pretty stand out feature to Sam. I see it also adopted the newer cover system which is used in a lot of games now. The new controls will take a little getting used to but at least it won't be a complete bug and crash fest!

Hope you manage to sort it soon mate. My brother bought a fairly new PC but had it made by the company he bought it from. He had an issue with his graphics card heating up and the fans not spinning at start up. The shop told him to contact this repair shop who have gone and fucked up. They replaced his GPU which is fine, they replaced his HDD for whatever reason, reformatted his PC entirely and broke his case. Never trust these shady companies with a PC. I keep telling him to make sure they haven't swapped parts out for a cheaper alternative. He now needs to try sort it out.

Not yet but I am going to before I start Conviction. I'm not entirely sure which cut scene I would have ended with, as you can have 3 different cut scenes. So guess I'll just have to watch them all.

Completed Splinter Cell: Double Agent. I say completed but I didn't see the final cut scene or the short bonus mission. For anyone still to play this, DO NOT PLAY THIS ON PC!!! You might be able to change resolution to make it look good but that will come with constant crashes, including a big bug at the end of the game which stops you activating the final cut scene. Tried verifying files to see if it would play in default and I lost all my saves, so fuck it... 😡 Game is full of bugs and the controls are super clunky. PS ^ should we not remove that advertising in the post above?

I have been practicing some more chord changes between A and D. Justin(Guitar) mentions an exercise you can do daily called 1 minute changes, where you play each chord, so A and then move to D, than back to A as many times as you can in a minute, but they have to be clean to count. So I started that today and did changes between A and D and ended up doing 18 in a minute.

Do any of you have anything you are reading? Books? Comics? Magazines? I'm currently reading SPQR: A History of Ancient Rome by Mary Beard. I recently watched her BBC documentary called Meet the Romans, so thought I'd continue my reading with her book. I find the whole Roman Empire pretty fascinating.

@SensaiNemesis Very nice! Anything up on YouTube I could listen to? Any tips for a beginner? At the moment I'm working on D and A chord and just simply trying to make the transition between the chords without much of a stopping gap, along with correcting my fingers to make it a clean strum. Once I get that I'll start adding in the E chord.

I've owned an electric guitar for a couple of years but I just haven't learned to play it. I decided to get it back out and give it another go to see if I can actually stick with it this time. It might be easier this time as my girlfriend is also learning to play, so it's something we're doing together. Along with our daughter who just wants to strum the guitar at every opportunity 😩. We're self teaching, and using a place called JustinGuitar to learn at out own pace. Sadly my tuner seems broken and the light doesn't always light up when tuning, so that will need replacing and I want to buy a capo too. I also have a metronome but the batteries that I left in was corroded. It still works though with new batteries, so I'm going to just try clean it up inside. Does anyone else play anything?

Not a clue mate, I've never played Cards Against Humanity. These JackBox games are sort of quiz / draw / make up your answers to fool other players. Discord wouldn't be required as all you need to do is watch the stream when playing, all the games info is on screen. You can use your phones / computers web browser to actually play and answer the questions. So Discord would just be a general chat and doesn't even need to be game related. It's been a little quiet here over the last few days though.

With the game being given away for free on Epic Store not long ago, I nabbed my copy of the game (and I assume many more of you did also). How well do you think a game of JackBoxParty would go down? We don't all need to own the game, someone with a copy would just need to stream the game via something like Twitch, or a more private streaming method in which only we have access? The only thing that would be required is either a mobile phone or web browser. The game is played through a website. Discord could be there for those who also wish to talk while playing. The games available on the version I have (The Jackbox Party Pack) are: 1) The comedy trivia sensation YOU DON’T NOW JACK 2015 (1-4 players) with hundreds of all-new questions. 2) The hilarious bluffing game Fibbage XL (2-8 players), with 50% more questions added to the original hit game Fibbage. 3) The bizarre drawing game Drawful (3-8 players) -you draw right there on your phone or tablet (very little/no real skill required). 4) The racy-as-you-want-to-be fill-in-the-blank word game Word Spud (2-8 players). 5) The wacky-fact-filled Lie Swatter (1-100 players). Obviously if someone owns any of the other editions, it gives more games to play. I can imagine the only issue would be the delayed stream but I think that wouldn't be huge.
