  1. Most online games have Dedicated servers that everyone connects to, and that parses out information. The need to worry your connection to an every changing host is ZERO in games like Battlefield, or Destiny, or WoW, or Daoc, or Eq2, or Guild wars, or Wildstar, or EVE, or Elder Scrolls, or Final Fantasy, or Team Fortress, or Mechwarrior Online, or.... Do I really need to continue? You know this, stop being silly.
  2. If you built a PC back in the 90's and early 00's, you will have absolutely ZERO issue building a PC now. The connections have not changed.
  3. Your local connection doesn't have anything to do, up to a point, with how you connect to any server in the world. You have to remember that you do NOT have a 1:1 connection with that server. From my current location, going to www.callofduty.com, I have to pass through 9 servers first. I have no idea what the actual IP is for the game, but I imagine it is at least as many, if not more, servers in between. You should only be 1-2 servers away from your ISP's when you measure traffic for your 60/20 connection, or whatever, but it is the other servers that fuck your connection. Not to mention, when you are playing Multiplayer, you also have to take into consideration how many servers between you, the host, and then the other players. This is why CoD will ALWAYS have shitty connection issues.
  4. I only did Software Etc, and Best Buy I think you guys had it worse
  5. Dude bought a Jeep and they screwed him. This is how he gets revenge
  6. Yea, my wife declared last night that if we can't buy it online, then we don't need to get it. I want to say Black Friday got its name from the fact that so many sales happened starting on that day, that the rest of the year, the stores would be "In the Black", or as non accountants would call it, everything sold for the rest of the year would be pure profit. ~Hits Wikipedia~ I am sort of right, there are a ton of things that started the term being used. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Friday_(shopping)#Origin_of_the_term If you want to read it
  7. I'd love to see one for all of them. Pretty sure Roger Moore was worse What I liked about Spectre/ Daniel Craig Bond: Casino Royale->Quantum->Skyfall-> Spectre are all one continous story. Which is something Bond films have never done. (Even if the connection between Sky and Spectre was horribly bad) I think for me what could summarize the disappointment was a general sense of wasted potential. The action scenes had good ideas and were nicely shot but never culminated into anything great. The opening tracking shot was amazing... but pointless. The helicopter fight felt like I had seen it before. The snowy plane chase was boring. The train fight was probably the best action scene but had no real pain or weight like in Casino Royale. The escape from the lair was laughably brief. The worst offender was the car chase in Rome which off the top of my head is the worst car chase I have ever seen. I kept waiting for it to start. Every few moments I would be anticipating a burst of action but it never came. Bond was just being perused at slightly elevated pace glancing in the mirror every now and then. There was no shooting, no clashing, not even pedestrians jumping out of the way. Bond ejected himself and it was over. That was it!? Even the headache-inducing car chase in QoS was better than that! Jupiter Ascending, quick and dirty thoughts: It had a ton of potential. Rarely does a new Science Fiction universe come along, and so I was excited for this one. The villains were petulant children, they were boring, and honestly you get annoyed by them more than you ever care about them. The heroes are just as bad. You honestly never care about any of them, their plight, or their story. The action sequences were better than most movies. Also, zero shaky-cam bullshit The CGI was really solid and amazing.
  8. Some good buys in there as well! Thanks chris

  10. Just came across this. If I come across others, I will post them here Best Buy http://blackfriday.bestbuy.com/?category=doorbusters
  11. How good is Anno 2205 you ask? So good that I played an hour, maybe, of Fallout 4, before coming back to this game FYI: The Arctic is a bitch
  12. It would amuse me if streamers were responsible for how I got it. Sorry, but not going to happen. It is out there, it is easy to find. Just be smart and use a VPN if you do grab it. This game on PS4 will not compare to how it will be on PC. You can easily build a PC to run this for the cost of a PS4. Maybe not at 4k resolution, or Ultra video settings, but still.
  13. This game right here. Such a huge PITA to get working with AMD, it makes no sense but once you get it going, it is worth it
  14. Some versions go "Live" today
  15. Servers must be hammered, I am looking at 8 hours 7 minutes to download it
  16. With the weapon parts and other items to be sold at vendors sometime soon we need the glimmer issue fixed please. I want to be able to buy stuff with glimmer again and not be held back by a temporary time-gate on glimmer gain. Especially since we soon will be able to buy weapon parts and turn them in for faction rep. Text Verison: Essentially, Bungie put in a mechanic to slow down your glimmer gain by restricting your character from gaining glimmer if you get over a certain amount within a certain time. In the video I show that I have on the Ghost that gives glimmer when killing Hive and you see right at 168 glimmer gained that I stop getting glimmer BUT I keep gaining candy. I am not at max glimmer. The other part of the video shows fighting Fallen and how I have the Ether Seed buff active with 6 minutes left and I am not gaining glimmer. EDIT: Anyone else feel free to contribute your own vid evidence if you have some so we can maybe figure out a fix for it? Maybe it only happens under certain circumstances. //Why yes, Time Gated anything is fucking bullshit
  17. Should probably ask this in the CoD section.
  18. I went back to Final Fantasy VII I will still log in here and there for folks that need help, and to finish out my Arms day orders. Other than that though, there isn't a multiplayer game out there that looks like something I want to play
  19. Yea I agree with the Break. I logged in to run some nightfalls tonight and was happy to not see anyone on. I didn't feel bad about not being there to help folks
  20. As an avid Wow and Warcraft player for more years than I care to count, I am torn on this. The writing in the MMO has gone to shit, they have done such a poor job of writing they went from 14 million active subscribers, to 5.5 million. However, part of me really hope they do this, and do it well, I just have a hard time imagining how they will pull off any section of the lore in 1 movie
  21. They needed to add another grind into the game to keep people playing. This is it Pretty sure their intention was to have us buy parts all along, they wanted to score points with the community though by breaking it, and then "listening" to everyone's thoughts and complaints and "fixing it"
  22. The stick or the sensor assembly? The stick is easy, yea, the video I linked above shows that it is maybe a 10 minute process
  23. just now having a chance to research this properly If it is only the stick, then I can replace it using this video as a guide If its the assembly sensors underneath, then I am fucked
  24. So, my Left Stick started pulling to the right on me. It is to the point that if I just sit the controller down, my characters will walk randomly to the right. Unless I pull to the left first and then slowly ease it back to center. Which is just flippin weird. I know you can fix the trigger buttons, as I have had to fix my R 1 and R2 buttons a few times now to reseat them, but do you guys know if you can take apart and fix the Sticks?
  25. Is the nighthawk worth it? I never play Gunslinger
