  1. This is the first year I don't' really have a Christmas list. There are a few things I wouldn't mind having, but nothing stands out as a Want.
  2. On the PC it is the same as the Melee button, but you hold it longer. Not sure if that helps
  3. Yep, i noticed it a few days ago, and confirmed it on reddit earlier
  4. Holy Crap! I totally didnt' know this.
  5. NPC in town Vendors: If you leave your containers in spots they can reach, they will steal your stuff. You can jump whereas NPC's cannot. Build a foundation for your house above ground. put a foundation block near the door to your place, but NOT up to it so that it connects. Make sure the door also has to be jumped up into. Do NOT build stairs to your new place, NPC's can no longer enter it. Sadly this also means companions. (Going to test the Fast Travel mat inside my house tonight. If htat keeps Companions penned in, then I win!)
  6. Fallout 2 is probably the best. 3 has the best story IMO Vegas isnt' bad, I just didnt' like the story or the fact that enemies didn't respawn. My last playthrough I skipped the entire story and just went on a mission to kill everything that moved in the waste. Fallout and Fallout Tactics are loads of fun, but hard to play anymore because of how dated they are. 2 does have the best writing though, the dialogue options for low intelligence characters are amazing.\ This review from Steam is actually really accurate of the whole series and how in the earlier games you could complete missions a ton of different ways:
  7. I didn't find my first piece until level 30, but around 32, I found a full suit in a Cargo container near the Airport I want to say my first piece was in the Glowing Sea near a deathclaw camp
  8. This doesn't count the ones that spawn on Raiders
  9. LOLZ both of those are perfect
  10. This might sound harsh, but it isn't meant to. It will be criticism of the game though My first playthrough I hit level 40, and was just about finished with the main story. It is one of the reasons I jumped over to survival difficulty. You will rarely use the Fatman, if ever. Honestly, I scrap them now, the Blast radius is way to big to use and not dose yourself with huge levels of rads for what is arguably minimal damage to NPC's. The game hands them to you in the same manner it hands Power Armor In Fallout 3, Power Armor and the Fatman, were game breaking items that changed the entire tone of the game. In this one however, they quickly become a Dime a Dozen. (Just a few days ago, I started a thread, celebrating my first Fat Man find. It is funny what a few dozen of them sitting in storage chest will do to your point of view. Not to mention burning through huge swathes of Rad-X just to be able to use them) Before I stopped playing, I set up a Power Armor junkyard at the Drive-in. Hell, I stopped using the X-01 suit purely for the variety of it all. Use the Fatman if you have to, I can actually think of two spots where it "might" be necessary. The Airport (BoS quest), and the Fort (Minuteman Quest). However, a good Tri-Barrell or Quad Missle Launcher is far more useful. As are Gauss Guns. Miniguns are loads of fun, I don't use them that often though. I am a Laser Rifle sorta guy. (Gatling lasers are crappy, and require way to many perks to make useful. Stick with Miniguns if you have to choose between the two) Storage!!!!!!!!!! Look for Decorations -> Storage in the Settlement building. I tend to build one for each item grouping, sort of like this: Weapons Ranged Weapons Melee Armor Food Medicine Mods Weapons Mods Armor Ammo Weapons Grenades and Mines There is no limit to the amount of shit you can put in a container. Oh yea! Huge Tip The only real stats that seem to matter in the game are Charisma and Perception Everything else can be gotten around using the basic game mechanics, except where Perk purchases are concerned The game is very shallow where that is concerned
  11. Haven't played on PS4, so not really sure what is different between the two, but I know there are differences. Do not rush into quests! Go to Concord, and help those guys out, and then come back to Sanctuary, do some stuff there, and then go back to Concord and make sure you have looted EVERYTHING Do not go to the Corvega Auto plant until around level 10 Loot Everything! Fast Travel to drop off when inventory gets full, and then loot again. Seriously, loot everything! NPC's have a decent range for chasing you. However, do not be afraid to run away. Companions cannot be killed, Clear out enemies and they will auto-revive most times. (You still might need to use a Stimpak on Dogmeat, but I have never had to on Preston, Piper, or Danse) Companions do NOT need Ammo Remember to tell your companions to equip new gear you give them Once you build a well or water purifier, be sure to grab water from it. Up until around level 20, this is a great way to get health back (I was still using it until around 30 to be honest) Grenades, Mines, and Molotovs can clear out a huge area, be sure to equip them. Molotovs are great underground! **I just restarted on Survival, and it is kicking my ass, so I am trying to think of things from Normal mode.
  12. PC or Console?
  13. There are times I wish I could tell my wife about some of the posts here. She just came home from running errands, and brought lunch. (See above post for why I am amused)

  15. Oh wow, yea, I hit level 28 a few minutes ago. Let me know if wha tI said about Power makes sense or not. I can take some close up pics of my generator and wiring if you want. This video helped get me started.
  16. I had that problem at first now I put the wooden Foundation down (Its under wooden floors, it is a huge wood block) here is my house. http://imgur.com/a/kdMAM It is built on a foundation right at the first corner street in Sanctuary. I need to clear out more debris so I can finish decorating. EDIT: My magazine racks were not built yet, I need to update the pic for the section near the bobblehead display
  17. Yep but also, power is transfered "Kinetically" so if a wall is touching a wall with power, then it also has power, for a limit of one space. (if that makes sense) I am uploading a bunch of pics of my house in Sanctuary. I was almost done with I hit an Item cap.
  18. I disagree with everything except the last 2 sentences. I guess this sort of depends on your definition of Bells and Whistles.
  19. ooohhhh I gotcha, then yea, spot on sir (I didn't realize we were using my wife's metric for good stuff. Honestly though, the guy did an amazing job in GTAV)
  20. I keep forgetting to post mine, but I found these two on reddit today, so here:
  21. There are a couple of swedish sites you can stream the episode from, if you want I can PM one later to you, once I am home
