  1. With random rolls, what is the % chance of getting quality gear, as you put it? Math points to you being wrong here. So does gameplay from Destiny 1. Example: With Random rolls, the chance goes down, so you will spend more parts to get the roll you want, not less. Can you still nail the best possible roll with 1 turn in? Yes absolutely, but the inverse is also true. (an infinite number of turn in's before getting it) This was a change to make you grind more, we all know that, its not a change to get you better gear. I am fine with increasing the amount. 40 parts was a solid number to strive for. So lets say you get 2 parts per weapon dismantle. Previously, every 20 pieces was a chance for decent purple at your current LL or slightly higher. Now its every 50 pieces. From what i saw, the # of parts you get per dismantle has not increased. Also for the record, I am absolutely fine with random rolls. I am not fine with the continued inflation of engram costs that has happened every DLC this game.
  2. I was hoping they were a component for upgrades or something, but 100 pieces for an engram? Seems pretty high
  3. Just got bought by THQ Nordic I seriously hope they redo this game, or at least push for some Xbone Backwards compatibility. I really want to finish the DLC at some point but dont want to buy an Xbox 360 controller https://www.thqnordic.com/node/301
  4. What are the gunsmith parts used for currently? Banshee was yelling at me last night because I was sitting on around 200 of them, so i went and turned them in. I noticed it was around 100 for a new engram from him, which made me think that they have to have a new use.
  5. So back to gun hording. I am okay with that. Its odd wearing blue armor again though. As an aside, the guardian getting to speak again was cool, up until I realized that we had 2 whole lines to say in the entire thing. Way to set the bar low for the next xpac
  6. This is exactly why I loved it. Trying to get from the east side spawn in that shitty store, over to teh warehouse in one piece was tricky. And then sweeping that building was just stressful fun. I never had a bad game there.
  7. Derail was my absolute favorite map
  8. ya'll should read this https://www.forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2018/08/30/here-are-seven-destiny-2-exotics-that-are-stupidly-strong-after-the-forsaken-patch/#44195f977eda
  9. Also this guy
  10. all Xbox 1's can play it. If you have the disc, just put it in. Backwards Compatibility is one of the best features of the system. It absolutely destroys the PS4's attempt at backwards games to be honest
  11. Last night was all "One Man army" spam with Shields and Javelins So i would say about as usual as I remember it. I do miss the maps though
  12. ooohh, I misunderstood, sorry.
  13. I don't see to many folks questioning it. I know I didn't. It was fun as hell to play it again, I plan on doing a marathon of the campaign this weekend.
  14. Tidyplates! ArcHud! Auctioneer! Recount! Bagnon! I cant remember the others I used lol
  15. @Diddums I already commented on this. Can't join you all. My gaming PC is in storage. Rift was a great game. The raids were good, and how they handled classes was amazing. It was honestly the best followup to WOTLK any company could have made. I miss playing it, the fact that they built the ability to solo and DUO any instance, not raids, into the game was just amazing. The crafting raids were solid, as were all of the world events. There was never a lack for things to do in the game.
  16. The Anno series is absolutely an amazing entry into city building games. I can't recommend them enough.
  17. I might do a thread on console mods for skyrim. since I have it now for EVERY GODDAMN SYSTEM, I might as well put that knowledge to use. also, I was debating on doing one for Fallout 4 as well, if people are interested. Thoughts? (I know Lee will say do it, but will others find it helpful at all?)
  18. Tanking is the fastest way to level. I have no idea if Heirlooms still work, but shit man, it took me maybe 2 days to get my paladin from 1 to max level in Cataclysm. Granted it was a long 2 days, but once I got to around level 20 (i think), I just kept queuing for instances. If anyone talked shit about my playing as a paladin, I would vote kick. Aint nobody going to argue with a tank or healer in instance queues
  19. I jumped from DAoC to WoW when it launched. There are a ton of good memories, the blood plague when ZG opened up. Battling in world PVP at the Crossroads in the Barrens. Or even out near Tarren Mill! Harvesting random supplies for the battles to open AQ (which no one fucking saw because the servers crashed) Everything in and around Wrath of the Lich King. So much damn fun! I remember my coming home from work when LK came out, my wife decided to not go to work that day, and had been leveling all day, and didn't tell me. My only regret was not switching to a Paladin sooner. It really was the best Tanking class there towards the end, and I stubbornly wanted to make a DK or Warrior work. Cataclysm was okay, but Mists killed the game for me. No part of it did I enjoy. I have no place in my house currently for a gaming PC. The one I do own is actually broken down in a storage bin next to my 2 monitors. So as much as i would like to give this game a go again, it isn't happening sadly.
  20. Watched Slenderman the other day. It was fun
  21. I saw this when it came out this and Lock, Stock, and 2 smoking barrells are 2 of my favorite movies. I actually have a slightly amusing story about this movie. At my last job i was telling a coworker about it, and i couldn't remember Jason Statham's name. All I could remember was his name was Turkish. So I went to my desk, and I googled "turkish snatch" the search results were not what I expected, but I should have known better. The funny part is the Net admin and I ended up talking about the movie as well once he called me into his office to explain why I was looking at porn at work.
  22. My heritage is russian, so I figured that was enough. Well shit.
  23. Wait a sec..... I was rigging the votes for @Diddums Something fishy is going on here
  24. https://gamestechica.com/2018/08/08/obsidian-entertainment-letter-of-intent-for-an-acquisition-by-microsoft-leaked/ Obsidian Entertainment Letter-of-intent for an Acquisition by Microsoft Leaked August 8, 2018 Marcin Dzieciol We all remember Phil Spencer announcing 5 new studios acquisition during this years E3. They bought Playground Games, Compulsion Games, Undead Labs, and Ninja Theory. The Initiative is a brand new studio that MS is building from scratch. This announcement was quite big in itself but it was not all. Shortly after E3 we started hearing more rumors about Microsoft being interested in even more studios. Then just few weeks ago Matt Booty admitted that they are searching for AA studios which they could support and grow. And it looks like they did not throw words to the wind as Microsoft is getting ready to purchase Obsidian Entertainment. Obsidian Entertainment is a AA studio well known for RPG games. They have made Fallout New Vegas, Star Wars KOTOR 2 and the latest one being Pillars of Eternity 2. Microsoft has worked with them before on few projects in the past like KOTOR 2 which was released for OG XBOX and rumored Stormland for Xbox One which was canceled and nearly put Obsidian out of business. Many said that Obsidian will never want to work with them again but it looks like Obsidian not only agreed to work with them again but also to be bought by them. According to ResetEra user Obsidian Entertainment Letter-of-intent For An Acquisition by Microsoft has been prepared which means that there are getting ready to finalize the deal. Now take this info with a grain of salt as this has not been officially confirmed by any party involved in this acquisition but it’s no secret that MS is looking for more studios. If true this would be a big deal for Xbox owners as this developer with Microsoft backing would sure be capable of delivering great games and Xbox sure need good RPGs. If I learn more about this I sure will be the first to report on this. So stay tuned for more.
