The more I watch these new consoles and the shitty life cycles, the more I am going to start treating them the same way I treat games now. Wait for it to be at the end of the life cycle, buy a greatest hits machine and call it a win. The last 3 Nintendo consoles have really burnt me out, not to mention how many shit games have I paid $60+ for, only to absolutely ignore after a week. I just don't have the time or energy anymore to spend top dollar on these things. I figure next year I will be able to pick up an Xbone for cheap, and then stock up on the titles I missed out on for the last few years. /patientgaming FTW

The lack of posting on a regular basis leads me to believe that honestly no one would. If anyone wants to start a site up called "forever politics", I will happily join and talk shit.
-
I say all of the below with full knowledge that I started the vast majority of the political threads in that sub forum. However, views change. TA > politics IMO. It was a mistake listening to the group when I posted that poll. Delete it, or I can. I told Lee this, but not the rest of you. I had some coworkers that were browsing the forums on my laptop a bit ago. That particular day, only political threads were going, they all 4 said no thanks. I put the forum on moderation after that, and it amuses me that no one noticed until today. (I get notices whenever people post there, I have been counting the days until someone posted there. 14 days.) I've grouped with a bunch of people on Warframe, Division, and Destiny 2. None have joined up here. Why? I have asked and was given non-committal answers. Politics have zero to do with gaming. Regardless of all the talk of us being a family. New people are NOT members of that family yet, they don't get us, they don't how we all talk to each other. Why turn off those potential new members with an entire forum dedicated to shit that, right now, makes people angry, and pushes them away? Seems counter to what Lee whats for this place. Rip off the broken limb and move on. None of this means that getting rid of that section will make the membership #'s for the site increase. However, at this point, no one can say it won't. Focus on the brand Lee wants us to have. Yes, adults can talk about whatever they want, but adults should also know that some things should be avoided when they don't have a place anymore.

https://www.pcmag.com/news/362488/sony-quietly-rolls-out-new-ps4-model If you go out and buy a PS4$381.95 at Amazon today, chances are the model number written on it will be some variation of CUH-2100. But in the coming weeks and months, that will change as Sony just rolled out a CUH-2200 model. PlayStation model number changes are made for different reasons, and the digit that changes signals the importance of the change. Major hardware revisions result in the first digit changing, which is why when the PS4 SlimBest Price at Amazon was rolled out Sony moved from model CUH-1XXX to CUH-2XXX. The last two digits vary based on which region of the world a console is intended for. As DualShockers reports, when the second digit in the model number changes it signals minor hardware tweaks, which is what this looks to be. CUH-2200 models have appeared listed on the Japanese online store with a 1TB Jet Black and 500GB Jet Black version both carrying the new model number. Eventually all markets will offer the CUH-2200 as Sony ships out new stock and stops making the CUH-2100 (this may have already happened). These new consoles are unchanged in terms of power use, weight, and dimensions, which suggests that Sony has tweaked the hardware inside for some reason. Typically this is done when they figure out a way to save money and reduce manufacturing costs. Any saving, however small, can make a huge difference when you're producing tens of millions of consoles every year. Don't expect Sony to mention the move to model CUH-2200 as there's no reason for it to be talked about publicly. It's also not worth waiting for the new model to be widespread before opting to purchase a PS4. The bigger question to ask is if you should be spending a bit more for a PS4 Pro

https://www.vg247.com/2018/07/16/destiny-2-forsaken-the-scorn-enemy-faction/ One of the most interesting additions coming to Destiny 2 with the Forsaken expansion is the new enemy faction: The Scorn. In the Destiny 2 lore, The Scorn are Fallen who have been reanimated. The Scorn don’t just look different from traditional Fallen, they also have completely new move sets. In a new video from Game Informer, Bungie explains that the intent was to make all the different Scorn types more aggressive than anything else in the game. One of the more interesting new enemy types is the Chieftain, who each spawn a different totem that comes with a different effect. The Solar totem spits out fire all around it, blocking your path, whereas the Void totem grants shields to nearby enemies. Similar to the Chieftain, the Barons – the game’s main villains whom you’ll be hunting down in the Forsaken campaign – each bring a particular gimmick to the fight. In case you missed it, the Game Informer cover story also provided some great new details, such as this look at all the nine new supers. For more on Forsaken, check out this story for everything we know so far. Destiny 2: Forsaken is out September 4 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

I love the tech his company creates. These last few episodes though, they remind me of someone that just went off their meds completely.

hit me up privately if they need help. I have been running tabletop games since the 90's, and I ran a massive LARP when I lived in Chicago. Multiple conventions as well. (Back when I played World of Darkness). A lot of beta testing and class writing over the years as well. Worldbuilding is probably my favorite hobby to be honest. I am cooking up a Post-apoc style game right now for when this current Pathfinder game is over. The PA game will be sort of Fallout/ division, sort of Warhammer 40K, sort of steampunk. I started working on it about a year ago, hopefully I can be ready to run soon. One day I will get to be a player again. 😥

It really comes down to the person that runs the game. some things are honestly not worth tracking as a GM. Item Damage and Encumbrance are the two main ones that spring to mind for me. I don't track them, and I never will. Games for me tend to be more about common sense. Players know damn well they cant loot every corpse on the field etc....

yea mending can read as a great spell. In older versions it doesn't fix everything though, they may have changed it for 5th ed. does Repair still exist as a spell? that might be a different game system, but i want to say there were 2 versions of mending Not going to lie in all of my years of playing/ running (30 now, sadly), I have never had a player use it. Prestidigitation is an amazing spell though, and one that is seriously OP for its level. There are a ton of other threads out there on things you can do with the spell

Sennex replied to GazzaGarratt's topic in Site info and announcements
I changed the theme of the site on accident. I was messing around with some settings, and was attempting to make a new theme based off of some feedback I had at work here from potential members. I ended up deleteing what I was working on, and then I guess that changed the default somehow. IDK I wont mess with that section again 🤔 -

Crimson is also much better So is Suros I typically used: Nameless midnight, solemn hymn or uriels favor or positive outlook or skyburners and either Sins of the Past, Launcher that looks like a dick, Darci, Prospector, The Colony (although not really for pve)

Mark Darrah, executive producer of Anthem, has been busy on Twitter answering players' questions about BioWare's upcoming RPG. Many of the questions are answered with information we already learned about the game during E3 2018, but there are a few new tidbits of information hidden in the horde of tweets. Lots of players wanted to know about loadouts, and Darrah had plenty of information to share. Players will have the option to save multiple custom Javelin loadouts. They won't be able to switch between them during combat, like players could in Mass Effect: Andromeda, but at least they won't have to reallocate weapons and equipment between each mission. Once you find a certain loadout that works, you'll be able to save it before trying something else. Speaking of the weapons, equipment, and other rewards that players will find while exploring, Darrah offered further insight into how item acquisition would work. The level of dropped gear will be based on Freelancer level so you'll be able to switch up Javelins easily throughout the game. That loot will bias towards whichever Javelin you're wearing at the time, but players will find rewards for every Javelin while playing. Not all rewards are unlocked via combat or mission completion either. Some are found through exploration. Darrah even hinted that some might be located underwater. There won't be item trading between players at launch though. Here's a few other details that stood out to us: Even if you're not in a group with them, other players can still interact with you. Strangers will even be able to revive you if they happen to run across you after you've fallen in combat. There will be no aerial fights against rival Javelins in Anthem. Sadly, you'll have to abandon your dreams of power suit dog fights. No friendly fire. For now anyway. The team might change their mind by launch. The Scars aren't technically alien, but they're not exactly human either. You'll be able to upgrade Javelin's flight time if you want to explore further and faster. You can't change your Javelin mid-mission. We imagine this means that if you run out of charge on the Javelin you've chosen for a particular mission, you'll fail. Javelins cannot be permanently destroyed. Whew. No post-launch plans yet, but Darrah isn't opposed to the possibility of a melee-based Javelin or implementing interchangeable melee weapons for the four current Javelins. Anthem will feature a color-blind mode. You can respec your Freelancer's skills. No plans for cross-play between console and PC at launch. Missions are specifically designed for four players, even if Anthem can be played one to four. There is fall damage so be careful when landing. All Javelins have the same movement speed outside of combat. Each Javelin is unlocked by doing a mission; players can choose the order. Darrah and his team are continuing to answer questions about Anthem up to the game's release. They won't answer anything that might spoil the game, so feel free to ask away if you have any nagging questions. Anthem will launch on February 22 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

Cyberpunk 2077 - Should it have Multiplayer?
Sennex replied to GazzaGarratt's topic in RPG / Action / Adventure
you do realize that there are more single player games coming out, than multiplayer, right? As is the case every year. Take a look at the video game awards for the last few years, out of like 20 (23 i think) categories, multiplayer only win in 3 on average. Best sports, Best Multiplayer, and Best Ongoing (Although this one changes every year) Regardless of the above, CDPR has a multiplayer game called Gwent, its a card game based off of a game in Witcher 3. I expect something similar to that.- 6 replies
