It was off and on raining last night, so the Stargazing thing fell through. That being said, my son and I ended up playing MC in a hotel room all night. Here are more pics of a good portion of the builds and some decent highlights. Actual Album: http://imgur.com/a/mhcAj I created a resource world for us, as I was tired of looking for new spots to mine. I have ti set so that I can regen chunks whenever I want to. The cool thing about this world is not only where we spawned (I must be a flippin Village magnet), but the number of horses and mules. If you can see the minimap in the upper right, every icon there is a horse/ mule (more pics in the album, showing how many. I stopped counting at 20) Train Station (Photobomb by my son) You guys know how I am about bridges and roads: I also wandered the main spawn castle last night to get better pics for you all. Yes, I don't like how this server handles backups. Its all or nothing. I'm not going to do that to you guys, cause it fucking sucks. My work PC is shut down and I work with idiots that can't figure out how to turn it on, so I can VPN into it. So, fuck it. I will be logged in for the next little bit, log in if you can, and I will just hand you crap, or we can work something else out. For the record I tried to open a ticket but I can't, so I am kicking that to Dave.

I can restore from the previous backup we did I jsut need time I am opff of work today and was spending it with my son, we are headed to a space museum tonight (Stennis) to do some stargazing tonight, so let me wrap up some basic crap around the house and then I will restore before we hit the road

Moving your bed has zero to do with this. WTF So I wasn't the only one then. anyone else have this issue? I will see what the backup shows.

I worked on it with 2 others. Took us a while. There are entire sections in it that are complete. I will take more pics later. The entrances are hidden, and I can't remember them all. That being said, I don't know how much if any, I will play on the 1.7.2 world with you all. I will maintain and manage the plugins and backups for you all, but I just don't see myself playing there. Between my son wanting to play more, and us being unable to identify/ stop any sort of thieving because of lack of logs, I just can't justify taking the time to play there. In the future this might change, but for right now, I have no desire to play there, and I won't allow my son to play there.

1.6.4 Bukkit world for my Son. (Inspired by "Man of Steel") My son is jumping back into Minecraft again, and wants us to play on an old World we used to play on. Since I have the world Save from before the server was shut down, it was easy enough to update to 1.6.4, and restart it. World One: City World:

Problem: My Inventory has been wiped :-/ looking into why now, this is most likely cause I dont' really play here, but I do fly around in Creative and build roads for you guys.

So the console told me no one was on, but the Panel showed two were kicked after I hit back up. Not sure WTH is going on or why we are not getting accurate representations of whats happening, but this is seriously pissing me off. sorry for whomever was kicked, that was not intentional

Yes, but that doesn't help us out in this situation. I can tell you how often and at what times people have logged in. I can even give you chat logs, but thats it.

I don't think I can properly convey the level of work that goes into something like this. It is tens of hours long in setting things up. If we move back to 1.6.4, I will not ever move the group to 1.7.2. Not going to happen. Way to much involved for me to devote to this again. Which is really my biggest issue here. Setting up a server with Mods is not a quick process, I spent roughly a solid work week building the Forge 1.6.4 server, then another week once we found Cal couldn't' play on it. Not to mention that a large portion of the deployment process starts over again once I migrate off of my local server and onto the Hosting server. Losing a house or a mine, or any of the other crap doesn't compare to spending 40+ hours of not even playing the game, but trying to get it to be ready to play. I don't go into this with any level of enjoyment. That said, if we don't do this, then all of your stuff is fair game for everyone else. This is honestly a situation of putting a condom on before banging a chick that you know is also banging 10+ other people. Do you put it on, or not? Thats up to you guys. I will follow the majority here,

tomorrow morning, I will start wipe and reset. Once its done, I will post up here. the thing to keep in mind here, is that there are a ton of permissions that need to be tested as you guys log in. With everything being locked down, I will set up an area in the spawn to test this. I did test everything with my son a few weeks ago, but you just never know. The level of security we are playing with is huge. There will be a ton of /slash commands for you guys to learn and I will do everything I can to create a cheat sheet for you. The good news though, is without the mysql database being setup on here and used (Which I have to setup and test), all of our builds are "Auto" protected. No one will be able to build in your "Land claim". It's so airtight in fact that they won't even be able to break grass for seeds or anything. That being said, if you allow others to build in your town, there won't be much I can do until the mySQL database is up and running. The moral of all this is to ONLY build in your claim. Don't spread out until you can buy a new claim. That being said, I need to get with Dave to work out a way to get money into the "in game" economy that isn't only from killing monsters.
