  1. I've been threatening to do this for a while without any real conviction, but I'm going to now push to get this organised!

I realise we've already got the Wales trip this year so I will try my damned hardest to make this as affordable and accessible for everyone as I can!

    What is it?

A day out together for everyone in FG and any family they would like to invite.

Primarily I'm thinking of Milton Keynes for this due to the central location for most, and also because of the available amenities in the local area.

    Go karting:

I'd like to organise a go karting race for us all (including family members) so we can enjoy a community GTA races event where someone will probably end up with a broken leg, or rammed up the arse (sorry in advance Phil). We can hire karts which are appropriate for the skill level and age range.

    Picnic:

After racing it'd be nice to organise a family picnic with everyone, maybe have a couple of portable BBQs, some football, Frisbee, rounders etc. Essentially a bring your own food and drinks type thing and maybe we can mix and match.

    When are we thinking?

Between the months of June and August.

    What next?

If you're interested please can you

    1. Let me know which month suits bets

    2. If you'd like to bring family with an idea of numbers

    3. If you'd prefer just to do racing whilst others do picnic afterwards that would be fine too.

    4. If you can make Milton Keynes

Once I've got an idea of numbers etc on the above I'll start organising!

Ace seeing so many people pick it up recently. As Sam @Capn_Underpants  shared the FG PSN Party Rooms the other day, if anyone is missing we can add people to it if they want to just sit in the chat with everyone who is playing it. Whilst we're all still just learning and progressing the game, I think its enjoyable and chilled to sit in the party chat and bounce off each other if you need some immediate advice/help.

Actually great idea, and potentially stream so those in the party chat can watch if they'd like?

    Nice one.

I've just finished Cafe books, now going to finish off the licenses.

I've checked setting up lobbies. Good to note we can turn off tuning and enable BOP 👍

This is great news, and look having the ability to have a tuned night still sounds like good fun. I have had a few days off the game due to work but cracking on again with it soon!

The tuning for me is a little confusing never really understood it

This is what I'm struggling with in daily races at the moment. People who are really nerdy have their cars tuned to a ridiculous level and I'm way too casual for that, so it's not as enjoyable for me as GT Sport was at the moment!

Finally managed it after another 8 tries or so. Then it got even worse for the final A exam. Easily 25 attempts and still a hundredth of a second off. That one course is gonna eat up my sanity and my Sunday.

I'm stuck on the same one!

  6. There's a couple that jave taken me about 15-20 attempts to get the gold on but I'm so happy to invest the time and enjoy the challenge rather than just push past it with silvers. Love the game so far 👌

Ark is a game I can never work out if its good or not. Many people already own it (as do I) but its very similar to the survival games we play here. It becomes more fun if you all come together for a common goal and allow players to feel they can actually help with stuff. Difficult though because the levelling system means you can feel like you're already way behind if you step off the game for a week.

Personally for me it was difficult to get in to, with a steep learning curve and as we'd already established a base and various things it was difficult to have meaningful input.

  8. I'm pre ordered with amazon so should get it Friday as planned. I have my kids this weekend so it's likely my first chance to play will be Sunday evening.

Really looking forward to the single player campaign. I'm hoping the fact that you can really modify cars means that we could do race nights where you have to get  JDM car for example and we modify the fuck out of them and race through Tokyo. Is there also a drifting mode? That would be cool too.

Also might be worth us making an announcement about the game releasing this Friday to see if we can rope more FGers in to playing as we're all starting from a certain baseline (except Greebs because he's a wheelie big cunt)

  9. Alright chaps, this week my kids are starting football on  Thursdays and they'll do 7 until 8 which is a bugger. I can still make racing but it'll be later, probably half 8.

Would doing the championship race a bit later work at all, and would anyone be open to changing race nights for the next championship? I understand we all have a fairly fixed week for gaming and personal lives but wondered if there was any way.

  10. I'm going to be quite honest and say that I'm pretty disappointed in my pace at the moment, albeit I suppose I was on the completely wrong bloody tyres. Looking forward I think to a rest from the championship and reset ready for the new one which presumably will be in GT7. We need to find out if that's cross gen compatible so we can all continue to play together!

  11. Interesting looking hybrid!

    Things to consider:

    - Get a saddle bag, always handy to hold a spare tube

    - Make sure you have a pump which will pump up a schrader valve

    - Enjoy it, keep it clean, keep it well lubed

Cleaning: Fine to use fairy liquid and warm water. Then rinse with normal water.

Lubrication: Small moving parts - buy some GT85 and spray in small amounts to prevent rust. Large parts get some good quality Muk-off grease.

Make sure you don't get any lubricants on those discs though!! If you do then you'll just need some alcohol rub to keep them clean.

Also, I have a bee on my bonnet about saddle height. Don't make your saddle too high, when you extend your leg on the pedal your heel should be able to reach the pedal. Seat posts which are too high cause feet, leg, hip, back, everything pain.

Other than that, ride it like you stole it!
