It's finally here! Personally I think its a decent enough trailer, not showing a huge amount, most seems to be from the first 30 minutes or so. I have seen some people saying Strange is acting out of character, although I think we are missing lots of context to the scenes. I am just hoping with the inclusion of Electro, Green Goblin and Doc Oc, that it doesn't get too bloated like the original Sam Raimi Spiderman 3 did, bearing in mind there are several other characters left to be introduced we haven't seen also (I won't spoil for those who don't know the rumours / theories). Does look like good fun though a great Christmas present, let's hope it doesn't get delayed.

I agree, although the MCU has balanced many characters a few times well so I am hopeful they will do it again (albeit these were different directors). We always have big Kevin Feige to make sure it all works

It’s great to see the multiverse coming to the MCU and though the trailer raises a few questions it hasn’t grabbed me and made me want to watch it.  Though I still will as I’ve enjoyed Holland’s Spiderman.

My biggest concern is it’s going to be similar to Maguire‘s spiderman 3.  Being that it will focus on his relationships and there will be too many bad guys to properly focus on any of them.

Honestly these topics I always say the same thing. When it comes to addiction, people either have addictive personalities or not. They will get addicted to something, then if they can stop that addiction, will just get addicted to something else to replace it. The things he describes can be attributed to anything you find pleasure in doing, whatever your hobbies may be, which is perfectly fine. It is if they start to get in the way of your day to day life and start negatively effecting work, relationships etc is when it becomes an 'addiction'.

I finally was able to watch the trailer. This looks pretty interesting. To be honest, I never read the books or watched any of movies? TV shows? Whichever? I just could not get into them.

I think a lot of the issue with the fantastic Sci-Fi stuff we all grew up with being translated to film has always been quite a feat to achieve. The audience for books is a different audience for live-action, as those who watch live-action do not generally have the patience for a story with all the rich details to unfold. Those of us who were avid comic readers are used to waiting for a story arc to unfold over time. Live-action-only audiences typically are not, which is why the budgets for such shows and movies never had the same budget as regular mainstream shows and movies.

With Marvel creating a vast universe in the movies and coming back to TV, I think live-action-only audiences have finally gained the patience to get beyond typical bite-sized entertainment. So, stories like Dune can now prosper in the movies and possibly TV if they go in that medium as well.

Some Sci-Fi stories are just really difficult to fully tell in the 2-hour (pushing to 3-hour) limit of movies. I know that one of my favorite book series was pushed to be made into movies, but eventually, the writer admitted that the amount of story that needed to be cut was just far too much of a compromise. He states that he is pushing for TV show like GoT, and all his fans agree that it is the better outcome. The first book alone has enough content for the first season, with easy segments for episodes. The special effects required would only be able to be achieved with today's (and future) technology, giving a more immersive visual experience.

For Dune, I'll actually watch this when it comes out. I'm intrigued. Fun cast of actors with a few that are always a treat to watch in whatever role they land.

Episode 4 was much better than 3, although the below comment I saw on a video did make me laugh:

I don't think they will go much beyond that film / other shang-chi films. It's not the direction they are taking with this phase in terms of the overall plot.

LordBaguette got a reaction from RenFengge in SPOILERS - Discussion - Loki
I watched umbrella academy and thought the exact same thing about the TVA. I do wonder if they will explain why they have that aesthetic, as they do seem to cover as many bases as possible when it comes to explanations in the MCU. I also wondered if they have separate divisions for different planets? as everyone looks human, and they only seem to deal with the timeline as is pertains to earth.

With Loki himself its like the kind of fast tracked him into being the Loki we knew that died in Infinity War. It did surprise me that he saw his 'future' death so soon in the show, although looking back it was a good way I guess of getting casual viewers up to speed quickly who may not have seen all the films / may want to make them go back and watch them.

I wont go into theorising too much on Loki, as to be honest there millions of different things you can talk about, I want to enjoy it as it is. I think the strengths it has at the moment are the cool aesthetic and weird vibes of the TVA (always an MCU strength when they go for more kooky and weird stuff more like Ragnarok did), the chemistry between Owen Wilson and Tom Hiddleston and the fact that you don't really know the intentions of any of the characters, even Loki himself, making it difficult to know where the plot is going.

I will say though that it seems it will have the most impact on the MCU out of the three shows so far.
