Bluebear got a reaction from slamminbones in FG GT Winter League schedule and results
@slamminbones Yep, we had a few good laps but that last corner can go and sod off. Problem with it is if you go off slightly, it just gets worse and worse and it takes a year to get back on track 😅
Interlagos will be interesting, I've never really driven on it before! Will get some practice in later tonight.

Ended up buying the 458 Gr.3. Had a quick testing session on Deep Forest and got a best time of 1:29.xx (forget what exactly). Feels very comfortable already and a lot more stable than I expected!
I'll do a quick few laps on Willow Springs and post up my best lap times; it'll be interesting to compare with whatever you lot get on the Thursday night!
EDIT: 1:14.746 is my best on Willow Springs (Big Willow layout) so far but not the smoothest. The little group of corners 3-5 (after the first long righthander), and the very last long righthander are messing me up a bit. So hard to get a clear idea of where to start turning in on that last one because there's sod all reference points
EDIT EDIT: Just noticed that the Willow Springs race is a Gr.4 race! Whoops! Will try it with the Gr.4 I have.

Might go for the 'yota again because I used that in Sport for a bit, but still.... red Italian sports car. Might just do that instead, #yolo
Having missed 2 weeks of League racing already I'm of the opinion that I might just have fun in a less competitive car anyway

Quick update:
Got the Supra Gr.4 from International B last night, and I also now have enough money to uhm and ahh over which Gr.3 car to get.
I'm leaning towards the Ferrari 458 Gr.3, but is there some sort of free play mode where I can try out any car in this game or not?

Unfortunately I'll be away this Thursday so will be missing Week 2. Hopefully I can join you guys for Week 3 onwards!

Bluebear got a reaction from GazzaGarratt in Grounded
@Luseth the Xbox store page mentions 'Xbox cross-platform co-op' so I assume you'd be fine to play it with the Xbox? We'd have to try it and see

Huge thanks to Lee and anyone else in on the plan to get me a copy of GT7! Can't wait to be in races steadily bearing down on people and making them panic again.
love you all ❤️

Bluebear got a reaction from Riff Machine in Starfield
Honestly, that same engine goes all the way back to Morrowind. I'ts just been built ontop of for literally decades but it still has very similar jankiness the whole way through. And to be quite honest, I wouldn't entirely mind, as it's very good for mods.

I'm awaiting this with bated breath.
I've been wanting a 'casual' space RPG for ages now. No Man's Sky had that inital wonder of exploration that I'm craving, but the effect very quickly wears off due to its shallowness by virtue of being a proc-gen game. If you see one ruin, you've seen them all. So for a game to (hopefully) have hand-crafted planets/locations etc but be somewhat casual along the lines of The Elder Scrolls, I'd be very happy.
