  1. FTFY
  2. Fun fact: Overwatch was the police group/ guards in the next MMORPG Blizzard was designing, Project Titan. So when it was scrapped they made Overwatch into a concept for a game.
  3. There are only a few very frustrating things, a few involving characters that hopefully will be balanced eventually. Mei is so strong, like if you have half a brain Mei is absolutely game changing. I would like to see either her freeze rate lower the time it takes to freeze you or that you shouldn't be able to be damaged by her freeze gun. (Let the spike shot hurt you but not the jet that freezes you). McCree's flashbang duration is too long (this is the first character being patched by Blizzard). Bastion, although not even as close to as OP as people cry about should have his sentry time increased a bit, maybe by a second. The characters overall are extremely well balanced for the most part. The netcode at times is a big annoying, it goes by "shooters sight." You've probably noticed once or twice you've snuck behind a wall, died and then on the killcam noticed you weren't behind the wall at all.
  4. 4 Reinhardts, a Lucio and a Bastion on any payload mission. 5 Torbjorns and a Bastion of Temple of Anubis B defense. 6 meis 6 Symmetras on numbai called "the web of sadness" Each time I've played these comps we have had 6 minute or less games
  5. It annoys the hell out of me seeing one or two people I know personally calling him a draft dodger.
  6. One day Pat, one day someone will protect us. (also smite has 20 million players, but who's counting...right Josh?)
  7. Hey Sam, this game according to Blizzard will eventually be geared towards an eSports, competition atmosphere. Honestly, there's no end game goal other than maybe collecting all of the cosmetics. Blizzard has announced there will never be a paid DLC, all new characters developed will be free and available from the moment they are released. The game won't be for everyone, it's a shiny new Team Fortress 2/ Unreal tournament feel to it based strictly on multiplayer and at the end of June Ranked Seasons that span 3 months.
  8. Don't stop using mei because she is a pain in the ass! i'm just stating people are probably cursing at you. Doesn't stop me from using bastion.
  9. You better hope not or I'll haunt your dreams with digital content
  10. Not for me. I'll watch it on Twitch.
  11. It is based on the book The Collapse
  12. I'm still shocked how good, and how many people play Siege- it's solid of a game, but then Ubi goes back to normal on all of their other shit.
  13. I think it looks pretty cool but I cannot shake the feel that this could just be a Division DLC/ Mod and be done with it. The characters specifically made me feel like I was watching the division.
  14. Bastion > Torbjorn > Tracer > Mercy. 9 times out of 10 I will be playing one of those 4.
  15. I'm practicing Tracer. I want to be good at her after seeing some amazing players flank everything under the sun and she's hard to learn. If I want to face roll I just use Bastion and Torbjorn. Mercy is a lot of fun but ransoms won't protect support players so it's a bit hard.
  16. The game is really well polished which is normal for Blizzard. The objectives are fun and so are the maps. The characters are very basic but all have extremely high ceilings if you want to main a specific one as well as very balanced with counters. It's nice to hear you buy this game once and no longer need to worry about buying any new character or dlc. Certain modes and checkpoints can get very cheesy as you are allowed to have multiple characters on a team, but the fun part in that is it allows for memorable troll moments and you will learn who counters who. (had a defence gametype where we rolled 6 Torbjorn and the team almost flawlessly beat our opponents, until they all switched to Widowmakers and sniped out our turrets- or 5 Reinhardts and a Lucio (fastest moving walls every for payload) Competitive ranked seasons are coming soon which is where this game plans to anchor its player base is very excited from it. It's what I expected from Blizzard and plan to play the crap out of it. It's easy to lose track of time and play the game for a few hours in a sitting but wonderful you can play 2 or 3 games in 15 minutes.
  17. I'm excited to see the ranked seasons and tournament mode in the next update. EDIT - You jackass, instead of linking to a page on reddit that linked to the actual article, just link to the damn article! - Sennex http://www.techtimes.com/articles/160199/20160525/overwatch-competitive-play-mode-available-next-month-in-first-big-update.htm
  18. I tend to use 3 stacks at a time.
  19. Did anyone honestly expect this to succeed? For many Top Gear died once Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May went out the door. I'm waiting patiently for the Amazon show. The American version has been garbage from day 1 as well. But, it is nuts to hear people just walking out during filming.
  20. I don't exactly play those games for the single player. I don't believe I ever touched SC2's story.
  21. I started playing Warcraft in Mists of Pandaria so I was well into that LFD and LFR generation. I remember hearing about how difficult WoW was. I loved my Panda Mage. I would pay serious money for a new Warcraft RTS. RTS games were what started me video gaming. (Starcraft Brood War, WC3 and Command and Conquer Tiberian Sun)
  22. I am as well. I generally will auto buy their games because I know the support will be there for years and if something is horribly wrong they will fix it. (Diablo 3)
  23. Absolutely loving it so far. This will probably take a solid amount of my time during the day. It's very quick to get into a game, the game modes are fun and the characters are all unique.
  24. First and foremost: WARFRAME WIKI (Read it. All of it. Except the parts with spoiler warnings.) If you can't choose what frames/weapons to use, use this. Read it carefully. ------ How Warframe works: ------ Try to unlock all the planets as soon as possible if you don't like spending platinum on potatoes (see #3) and cosmetics! 1. Do missions. Warframe has 14 main mission types: Assassination - kill a boss and unlock the next planet Capture - kill an enemy who tries to run from you and steal his corpse Deception - take an item to the enemy computer core and insert it Defense - defend an objective against waves of enemies Excavation - power and defend some drills Exterminate - kill all the enemies in the mission Hijack - protect a payload that's losing health and drains your shields to move Interception - capture control points (warning: innovative, original game design) Mobile Defense - take an item to 2 or 3 different computer cores and defend those for a few minutes each Rescue - go into an enemy prison and rescue a hostage Sabotage - blow up the enemy's stuff Spy - hack into enemy computers inside data vaults and steal their dank memes Survival - kill stuff, don't let life support reach 0% *some mission types give more rewards after every 5 waves/1 drill/1 round/5 minutes and increase in difficulty Special missions: - Quests - Alerts - Invasions ------ 2. Get loot. Loot includes: Credits - the main currency in Warframe Resources - used for crafting Affinity - XP for frames/weapons Mods - cards used to upgrade frames/weapons You can pick up loot during a mission and you usually get some at the end of missions. ------ 3. Use loot. Mods Mods improve your frames and weapons. You can install them by selecting your frame/weapon in the arsenal and clicking upgrade. Frames and weapons have a mod capacity equal to their level. The capacity requirement of a mod is in the upper right corner. Without mods, your frame and weapons are useless in almost all of the game's content! Improve mod capacity with: Orokin Catalysts(weapons)/Reactors(frames) - Doubles base capacity to 2 per level Auras(frames)/Stances(melee) - Auras benefit your team and increase your Warframe mod capacity. Stances let you do combos and increase your melee mod capacity. Matching mod polarity - Some mod slots have symbols in them. Match the symbols in the slots to the symbols on your mods to cut the mod's drain in half (or double the effect of Auras/Stances). Forma - Craft Forma and use them to change the polarity of a mod slot on a rank 30 frame/weapon and reset it to rank 0. Improve the effect of mods (but increase their drain) by fusing them at the mods section of your ship. Fusion works best with Fusion Cores (special mods that are for this) or duplicates. Do not use damaged/cracked mods! Crafting Crafting can be done at the foundry in your ship. Crafting requires resources and credits. You can buy blueprints for common items and weapons in the market using credits. Most Warframes can be crafted with part blueprints that drop from planet bosses and Warframe blueprints from the market. If you're in a clan that has research done you can buy blueprints for more frames and weapons in the labs in the clan dojo. ------ 4. Platinum! Costs real money! Only buy cosmetic items, inventory slots, and Orokin Catalysts/Reactors from the market if you're spending platinum. Everything else is overpriced. Classic Saturated is the most versatile color pack. Smoke Colors contains a true black color, which can stop certain particle effects. You can buy a lot of holiday themed color packs without platinum. Use cosmetic items in your arsenal. When you reach Mastery Rank 2, you can trade with other players for Mods, Keys, Prime parts, and platinum at a trading post in a dojo. Daily trades are limited by your mastery rank. You can not trade your starting platinum. If you buy some platinum, try to get a Corrosive Projection aura from another player for about 20p. It reduces all enemy armor by 30% when fully fused and many players will let you join their missions if you have it equipped. Check prices at warframe.market. ------ Other stuff (still important) Mastery Rank - Your overall level. Increasing it unlocks lots of stuff. Orokin Void - Get shiny prime stuff here (but only if you have a key). Related: Orokin Derelict. Sorties and Trials - If you can't look these up yourself, you're not good enough to do them. PETS: Kubrows and Sentinels The Carrier sentinel is the only one worth using if you like picking up loot in a reasonable amount of time. Carrier Prime has more health and armor. FAST XP: Draco(Ceres). Interception. The goal here is to win as slowly as possible (capture C/D, neutralize A without capturing until you are winning) while killing as much as possible without using weapons. This requires a specific build. Squad includes an EV Trinity, RJ Excalibur, and a Buffer (Roar Rhino or FF Frost). Research these yourself. If you have Corrosive Projection, you may be able to join anyway as a CP Leech. FAST CREDITS/CORES/KEYS: Hieracon(Pluto). Dark Sector Excavation. The wiki is your friend!
