Video games are the rock music of olden days. Asinine logic with zero numbers behind it. These games are played across the world yet we are the only country with this big of an issue.

Depends on the strategy. If it's pay to win, I won't even consider buying the game. If it's modeled after Warframe, Overwatch or Rainbow 6 Siege I will consider it. Correct me if I am wrong but the latest Call of Duty had some pay to win in it for gun specific loot drops.

Nope. Very active player base , Pentagon and surrounding areas are opened up now. The hype just died down so unless you follow the game there's probably not enough buizz about it. The raid was enjoyable, still problems with the mod and gear score system but overall solid.

I believe to sum up both of the games- FIFA has evolved into a gambling game with soccer mechanics. The cash cow is solely the FIFA Ultimate Team and nothing more. PES is more about the true soccer experience. I think PES would gain booming popularity if it became a "game as service" with one single base game that is met with seasons or dlc whenever a new mode is designed. (They aren't really innovators, it's just a roster update)

No. Occasionally they allow you to port your account from PC to XB or PS, but not the other way around and then that change is permanent.

I have reinstalled this on PC. It hurts not having my MR12 account from PS4 but I do have my Frost Prime on PC so I am still happy. A lot has changed that's for sure.

The pushback against Battlefront 2 loot boxes was so intense that EA reworked the entire system, and the wild popularity of FIFA Ultimate Team means that it has gotten scrutiny even from watchdog groups and governmental organisations. Kerry Hopkins, EA’s VP of legal and government affairs, insists that the company’s randomised purchases aren’t loot boxes, but rather “surprise mechanics.” In an oral evidence session with the UK Parliament’s Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport Committee, Hopkins compares the mechanics to surprise toys, which have been around “for years, whether it’s Kinder Eggs, or Hatchimals, or LOL Surprise.” In response to questions from Scottish National Party MP, Brendan O’Hara, Hopkins says “We do think the way that we have implemented these kinds of mechanics – and FIFA of course is our big one, our FIFA Ultimate Team and our packs – is actually quite ethical and quite fun, quite enjoyable to people. “We do agree with the UK gambling commission, the Australian gambling commission, and many other gambling commissions that they aren’t gambling, and we also disagree that there’s evidence that shows it leads to gambling. We go to Las Vegas every year for that stage of the HSBC Sevens and it's an absolute blast. Just hanging out at UNLV's stadium for 10 hours and then going to the strip and getting hammered.

I never understood rugby league. I played a handful of matches but it was all of the parts of rugby I loved that are missing in league. However, I will say that until our elite rugby programs took off here in the States that League was the best form of the sport to bridge the cap for Americans who love the NFL to get into Rugby. MLR is doing amazingly here and I'm happy Union is gaining popularity.

Personally I'd love to be a fly on the wall in a few of those board meetings where developers/publishers decided to not use Steam because they didn't want to lose revenue - but then took on developing/maintaining their own launcher. I'd love to see a comparison of costs, etc.

Nope. Some developers don't want to pay the fees that come with being on Steam. Some developers make their own launcher if their catalog is big enough. Some developers do it because they want to reach a certain market. There's really no outstanding red flags about any of the launchers; my rule of thumb is I general try to stay as consolidated as possible but nothing truly affects my decision to buy a game unless there are security concerns. You can play PC games with PC players, full stop. (Launcher does not matter) Personally I think Origin is terrible because it's slow, clunky and not easy to navigated. Epic Game Store has a real shit business practice going on right now as they want to try to undercut steam by throwing loads of money at developers to make them EGS exclusive, in return making some fans livid. (The EGS Spyware nonsense was debunked) Blizzard's launcher is simple, smooth, and love it. Papa Steam has everything you could ever want. Now GOG is really cool as all of their games are DRM free. You can literally share your games with your friends and they don't care. Uplay is solid, a little clunky though.
