Just seen that both teams in the Europa League Final were given 9,000 tickets yet there's empty seats galore. Fuck UEFA and their prawn sandwhich brigade the don't bother turning up or go home early! 60,000 seated stadium and only 18,000 REAL fans in there.

We should do a FG predictions for the world cup final and winner. Plus where you think England will get.

    For me:

    Final teams:

    Brazil
    Germany

    Winner:

    Brazil

    England Placing:

Will not get out of group stages.

Yep, that's fairly obvious final choices and winner...and pretty pessimistic on the England..hope I'm proved wrong.

French will be tough to beat, so long as they're all getting on, which, seeing as they are French, is extremely unlikely

Nasri, though, I bet there's a few thousand gooners chuckling to themselves.

Defoe, cracks me up but he didn't get a fair go this season and I don't blame him for leaving..Toronto though? lol

Sherwood, despite his win ratio, I am glad has been let go. Poor man manager and he upset the fans with is treatment of Sandro, everyone loves Sandro.

Looking forward to Belgium in the WC they'll be fun to watch...but agree with Rich, England are good going forward butt that's the weakest defence they have ever brought to a tournament.

This will be the first world cup in living memory -  or perhaps ever - where England doesn't expect England to challenge. Maybe that's a good thing, less pressure and a little less ego is always a good thing.

Can't believe Jermain Willem Defoe is shocked that he is only on the standby list. Did he really think his England opportunities would grow with a move to Toronto!? Tottenham needed goals at the time he left and if he stayed; that would've been a massive opportunity to fill the void and improve his chances in his home country.

He would have been better joining QPR or fucking Brentford.

Today (Good Friday) marks 3 years since I went cold turkey from one & a half packs a day smoker to Zero. One of the best decisions I ever made in my life. My average Blood pressure use to be about 150/100 with a heart rate of around 110bpm. These days it is normally 110/65 with a heart rate of about 70bpm. Not to mention I've probably saved around $8000 or more in the past three years of not smoking.

YOU are playing a video game, and your avatar is creeping into a haunted house at the dead of night. Suddenly, you freeze in your chair. Something is crawling up your back...
Whether this idea appeals or not, researchers at Disney have made such sensations possible by inventing a system that fools players into thinking that objects are moving against their skin.
Their brainchild, known as Tactile Brush, creates the illusion of being touched by anything from falling rain to crawling insects.

One of the illusions the team employs is called apparent tactile motion. If two vibrating objects are placed close together on skin in quick succession, people often experience this as a single vibration moving between the two points of contact. In a related illusion, known as a phantom tactile sensation, a pair of stationary vibrations is sensed as a single stimulus placed in between the two.
Apparent motion has been around since the early 1900s and phantom sensation since 1957, but this is the first time anyone has used them to provide precise tactile feedback.
Ali Israr and Ivan Poupyrev at Disney Research Pittsburgh studied these illusions with the help of volunteers who sat in a chair backed by a grid of 12 vibrating coils. By operating the coils in different sequences and at different intensities, they worked out how to induce the sensations of apparent motion and also persuade the volunteers that they were feeling extra coils that didn't exist, which creates a more realistic effect. Israr and Poupyrev incorporated these two illusions into software that controlled the coils, which convinced the person sitting in the chair that shapes were moving across their back.

At the Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems, held last week in Vancouver, Canada, the researchers demonstrated a driving game that makes use of Tactile Brush. Players feel a force from the chair that mimics the experiences of cornering and accelerating by activating the coils in sequence to sweep across the back.

In other early tests, Israr and Poupyrev have simulated the sensation of raindrops running down skin by tracing a vertical line downwards. Israr describes skin as an unexplored display surface. "Two metres squared - that's the total area of our skin," he says. "It's a big area."
The team is also working on a wearable device with vibrators in the sleeves and around the torso. Disney wants to develop systems that could augment the company's amusement park rides. Israr suggests that riders could experience the sensation of wind and rain sweeping over them, or insects crawling over their backs.
"I'd really like to get it into movie theatres," adds Poupyrev. He says it would help movies to compete with DVDs and home cinema. "3D is already there. Movie theatres will become more like amusement parks. Movies will engage all the senses."

He failed the 'fit and proper' test, appealed and then miraculously won his appeal and the takeover! It's a bit of a joke. I remember a few years ago Notts County nearly went bankrupt after a season because the bent owners decided to bring in Sven Goran Eriksson and pay Sol Campbell £70,000 a week when they were a League 2 club! County went £5m in the red and the owners just transferred the debt from themselves to the club and walked away whilst the FA did fuck all! Don't even get me started on Portsmouth

The FA absolutely love big money in the Premiership. They will happily see clubs hit the brink for the sake of how much dosh is floating about. They want the Prem to be the best league in the world and they assume that more money=better clubs. UEFA is really clamping down to it now though because our league is out of control. Sky high ticket prices because of the wages and clubs getting deeper into trouble because of the rising running costs yet other leagues in Europe are run flawlessly. The FA couldn't give a fuck about England's future and young talent because with money available; clubs can just poach some foreigner with their Arab money.

I hope UEFA stand strong and repercussions are met because the FA are a bunch of money grabbing wankers. Chelsea may have started flashing the cash before the rules came into fruition but they breached them on countless occasions in recent years but the FA won't say anything because they don't want to upset the Abramovic apple cart.

Tired of being bored shitless at work, I decided to pack some hardware into a suitcase and take it with me for tonight's shift. I've got:

    Thermaltake Berlin 630w PSU

    Asrock H61 PRO BTC motherboard

    Celeron G1610 CPU

    4gb DDR3

Nvidia 750 ti (MSI Gaming edition)

Now a few notes, this is going to be a mining PC, hence the 750 ti. I've got another one at home and they're excellent low power cards which actually perform very well for gaming for their price. They have basically revolutionized the GPU world because not only do they perform well, but they don't even require a separate power plug - they get all their juice from the motherboard, and draw no more than 40 watts. Compared to my 290, which is happy to suck 300w from all it's power connnectors. What this means is that you can plug one of these babies into any PC and play games. These cards will NOT run in SLi, which is a real shame. Two of these in SLI would spank most cards out there for next to nothing. I'm assuming Nvidia did this on purpose because two of these in SLI would make most of their mid-range cards obsolete instantly.

The CPU I've gone with is the lowest power model on the market, the Celeron G1610. It's a dual core 2.6ghz jobbie with no hyperthreading. It's made for low power and low cost, and at £30 it's a steal. Running with two Ivy Bridge cores too.

The RAM is half of my main PC's RAM, so Corsair Vengeance 4gb 2133mhz. I've got it running at 1600 because I'm not fussed about performance here, it's all about the mining, so the GPUs are where it's at.

The motherboard is a model designed specifically for mining, and as such has extra power connectors and PCI-E slots. It will take up to 6 graphics cards on risers, although I'll only be using three for now.

I will probably load up some games on to this at some point and see how they fare. Unfortunately the internet here in the headquarters of the biggest telecomms company in the world is so slow I could probably feed this PC binary and it'd be faster, so that's not going to be a for a little while.

Here's what it looks like right now:

Once it's all set up at home, I'll add another 750 ti, and then a 7950. This will be a cracking little miner which will hopefully turn a wee profit slowly. The only issue I foresee is that these 750 tis are Nvidia chips, and the 7950 is AMD, so I might have to work around some driver conflicts but it shouldn't be too hard.

That's it. Just felt like rambling on a bit. Any questions, fire away!
