Had a quick session yesterday. There's a tutorial which will be handy for new player to payday. The shooting is far better than the previous game, as is player movement. I seemed to notice a little stutter though for the first shot when engaging in combat. I'll see on forums if that's a thing or if it was just me. To be fair it was 1 hour after launch. Was busy yesterday so I was only on for a bit, I'll be on it again over the weekend.

Had to annoyingly re-choose all my perks again in a completely different system. I only had 47 lol Not sure I like the new perk system but I'll spend some time playing around with it before I reach any firm opinion. There's lots of other changes but I'm in the middle of a big mission so I'll have to wait and see before I feedback. Optimisation is weird. If I set my settings to allow max frames it tops out around 54 fps and it uses all my gpu and cpu. If I cap it at 60 frames I get 59 fps with only about 30% of gpu and cpu being used. Lame 😭😅

Yeah interesting to see. Although I'm more interested in the controller, the current xbox base model buttons are too clicky imo The PS5 controller is hands down the best thing about the console, and biggest improvement over the last generation. Microsoft need to catch up there. I know they have their elite 2 controller but my wallet aint that elite 😘

I like the game and get immersed quite easily. It will be nice to see the improvements, if they work lol Personally I would like them to optimise the game better for all types of GPU... but I won't hold my breath. For this reason alone (because they could if they gave a shit) I'm not likely to purchase the DLC until its dirt cheap, or free 🖖

It's going live at 4pm tomorrow and I have the gamepass version installed on my PC already. I hope the AI is better than PD2 lol Anyone who get's it, let us know and we can do some co-op nights on it. I haven't tried using Discord with console players, so that will be interesting and hopefully not a pain in the arse 🤪

9 hours into the game now. Negatives first: The star map could be a lot better, I'm glad it can mostly be circumvented. Local maps are coming I believe... but it's very poor they launched without them. Same with FOV slider and lack of Nvidia support. But on the whole: I've found some weapons I really like and the gunplay and combat has gone from passable to very enjoyable. Ship combat is fine for me, it helps that one of my traits started me off with that particular skill. I like the way you can gather side missions simply by being within the vicinity of two NPCs talking. I read somewhere that it's recommended to do the main quest up until a particular mission and then branch off, so that is the plan 🙂

Utd have lots of internal turmoil, it will be a test for them to see how they deal with things. Not very well so far. Spuds v Woolwich next weekend at the emptycrates and that will be fun I'm sure 😁

It's actually looking worse than when I played it 3 years ago. The team making it seems to have changed about a dozen times and it blows my mind that they actually released it and are charging money for it.

I'm only 6 hours in, and I'm only getting about 45fps on average but I'm enjoying it so far.

For it's time, it was a fantastic game. I loved it. But go back now and try that control scheme and janky movement. No thanks 😅

Any track requests say so here. I might do Daytona but there's room for a couple more. Think we'll stick to Gr.3 again as that went well last week. But, as ever, we can decide on the fly if we want to change it up.

My winter game purchase was going to be Stalker 2 but that's been pushed back. With MW3 bringing back old maps I'll likely pick this it just for nostalgia 🙂

First GT7 race night in ages starts at 8pm. I might be on earlier. We'll start in Spa, as requested, I've saved lobby settings already. 5 laps, no fuel or tyre wear stress to worry about, and any tyres allowed, so Softs.

First game was amazing up until you get a gun. Guns ruin it. Fortunately I was very late game when I got them. They did support and add a lot of extra content for it but I've held off on the second game. I have it wishlisted on Steam but every time it comes up on sale I remember that I heard its not as good, so still not tried it. Microtransactions = no chance I'll buy it now unless I get it for free

I was offered access to the recent beta, I didn't bother but footage I've seen suggests they are listening to feedback. Maybe they'll pull it round 🙂
