  1. It's the right reaction but they do need to do the same for anyone else who makes the same mistake. Even if he's not racist he has to look at what he's posting and realise that people could take it the wrong way. There's enough racist shit in the world without people posting stuff that could be taken as being racist without meaning it, it'll only draw the racist idiots out the woodwork.
  2. I just need your card number, sort code and the 3 digit number on the back šŸ˜Ž
  3. @phil bottle That was meant to say, what are you doing for the final?
  4. Haven't had a chance to watch the highlights yet, going to save it till i get home and can crank up the volume. Congrats to Spurs, hope you win the whole thing! What you doing for the game @phil bottle ?
  5. It's about time someone stood up to all this shite but it's not just minors, adults also become pray to this disease that's in the industry at the moment. They should ban all this shite and hopefully game developers can focus on making a good story/game/content and not forcing the player to fork out more money than they should. There's no way that someone should pay Ā£50 for a game, then have a chance to pay for more stuff on top of that, unless it's a worth while DLC, new maps etc. I also don't think that DLC should contribute towards a story or force you to buy it if you want to continue playing. It's like giving a junkie a free fix, then charging for the next lot.....kind of. Also loot boxes are a type of gambling, just because you don't win money doesn't make it so.
  6. Take my money
  7. Was meant to write something myself but got dragged away to a meeting. Seems like people are still dicks, fair play to them for walking out and taking a stand. There's too many big dicks in this world who think they can get away with anything and everything and too many people who are higher than them that will protect them.
  8. Over 150 discontented Riot Games employees walked out of the League of Legends publisherā€™s offices in Los Angeles today to protest the companyā€™s stance on forced arbitration. Standing in a parking lot on Riotā€™s campus, employees held picket signs and gave impassioned speeches. ā€œWeā€™re asking that forced arbitration be ended for all past, current, and future Riot employees, including contractors and in current litigation,ā€ said Jocelyn Monahan, a social listening strategist at Riot, in an interview with Kotaku. Standing in front of a sign reading ā€œRioters Unplugged,ā€ a play on Riotā€™s internal ā€œRiot Unpluggedā€ meetings, Monahan would later tell her assembled colleagues through a megaphone, ā€œasking to feel safe does not make you entitled.ā€ Monahan had one major point she hoped to get across to her colleaguesā€”even those who chose to stay in their desks and continue working. ā€œWe are what makes Riot great. I want us to feel solidarity and connection with each other. I want us to feel connected. I want us to feel like our voices are heard and heard in a way that matters.ā€ Colleagues took turns speaking through the megaphone, with several admitting that they were scared to participate and be labeled ā€œanti-Riot.ā€ Said one, ā€œI was worried. I was like, ā€˜What if I go and nobody shows up?ā€™ Iā€™m a little less worried about that now.ā€ Others are showing their support with the #riotwalkout hashtag, which hundreds have been tweeting. Todayā€™s protest appears to be the first labor-related walkout for a large game studio like Riot. The companyā€™s management is allowing its employees to participate and has urged managers to be accommodating and understanding. In an email to Kotaku this morning, a Riot representative added, ā€œWe respect Rioters who choose to walkout today and will not tolerate retaliation of any kind as a result of participating (or not).ā€ In the months since Kotakuā€™s investigation uncovering endemic sexism at Riot Games, five current or former employees sued the company, in part, for violating Californiaā€™s Equal Pay Act. Last week, Riot filed a motion to force two of those current employees into arbitration, an extralegal forum where a suit does not go in front of a jury. Recently, 20,000 Google employees walked out to end forced arbitration; months later, Google announced it would comply, but only for harassment cases. Last week, Riot announced it would now allow incoming employees to opt out of forced arbitration for harassment suits and would consider extending that to current employees ā€œas soon as current litigation is resolved.ā€ Giving a speech, one current Riot employee announced she was quitting in two weeks. ā€œIā€™m quitting because I donā€™t want to see people who were protected by people in high places in Riot,ā€ the employee said. Two higher-up employees at Riot Games, including the COO, have been retained at the company (in the COOā€™s case, after a two-month unpaid leave) despite several complaints against them to HR and otherwise being accused of everything from gendered promotion strategies to ball-grabbing in Kotaku reports. Adding that sheā€™s worried that sheā€™ll ā€œbe labeled a red flag,ā€ she continued, ā€œI donā€™t even spend time with my husband who works here, because I worry that heā€™ll also be labeled.ā€ Nearly half a dozen in attendance said that while they rarely talk in Slack or meetings, they felt compelled to publicly express concerns about Riotā€™s culture today. Signs at the protest read, ā€œIt shouldnā€™t take all this to do the right thing,ā€ ā€œBe the company you say you are,ā€ and ā€œSilence one of us, you silence us all.ā€ In a Kotaku report earlier today, employees expressed several reasons they would participate. While several are attending specifically to show support for the two plaintiffs in suits against Riot, others were frustrated that eight months after Kotakuā€™s investigation, they have not seen concrete signs that Riot is dismantling its sexist culture. Said one, ā€œSo far I havenā€™t seen a single outcome of our diversity and inclusion efforts at Riot. I havenā€™t seen a single metric or number to indicate things have improved and I havenā€™t seen a single project get finished.ā€ One other employee, who is male, explained, ā€œWhile I fully believe Riot is doing everything they can in the moment to end future arbitration, I see value in presenting a nonviolent, unified voice. As someone with a voice, I am lending it to others who feel like they might not have one or be unheard.ā€ Updated: 5/6/2019, 8:58 p.m. ET: Toward the end of the walkout, Monahan made an announcement saying that if Riot management doesnā€™t make any sort of commitment on forced arbitration by May 16ā€”the date of the next Riot Unplugged meetingā€”she and others involved with the walkout will take further action. Another walkout organizer, Riot writer Indu Reddy, was not able to delve into specifics of what that will mean, but she told Kotaku that ā€œwe do have plans, and we do have days that weā€™re planning, and we do have commitments that we have responses for.ā€ Reddy also said that despite Riotā€™s statement, retaliation is an ongoing concern. ā€œWe might face unforeseen consequences despite leadershipā€™s own commitments, because leadership is one entity, and there are a lot of Rioters throughout the org,ā€ she said. ā€œWe will prepare for retaliation. I think it wouldnā€™t be smart to not plan for it. But weā€™re not assuming it either because leadership said they wouldnā€™t retaliateā€”for this one, anyway. We will continue to ask for confirmation for future demonstrations.ā€ The mood at the walkout, however, was generally positive. Robin, a Los Angeles chapter organizer for advocacy group Game Workers Unite, expressed hope that todayā€™s walkout will inspire game developers at other companies, too. ā€œThe fact that this action went so wellā€”there were people on the mic, everyone was so excited, there were so many people sharing their storiesā€”I think thatā€™s gonna inspire a lot of other people at companies to realize they have a lot of power over the conditions at their workplaces,ā€ Robin told Kotaku. ā€œThis is going to be a tremendous example for people to know that they can make their conditions better.ā€ [Updateā€”9:30 am ET]: An earlier version of this story noted that employees had made allegations against Riotā€™s CFO. The allegations were actually against Riotā€™s COO. https://kotaku.com/over-150-riot-employees-walk-out-to-protest-forced-arbi-1834566198
  9. ā˜¹ļø You thinking of getting a PC anytime?
  10. I can honestly say Iā€™m gutted, I know Iā€™m meant to cheer on British clubs in Europe but I just canā€™t do it with Liverpool or City. Well.....done šŸ¤®
  11. I've never seen Firefly but have only heard good things. I did watch Serenity but didn't really get it as i hadn't seen the TV show.
  12. With all the issues in the build up to this game, it'll probably be a banger now. It's when we don't see the shite happen. then when we get screwed.

Hmm that could be bad news, either they've no idea what they want from the game or they're trying to get it as close as possible to be something we want. I sit in hope but really it will all be pointless hope. Please prove me wrong!
  14. It looks really good but the unnecessary grind and the price will always put me off. Maybe when it gets cheaper.
  15. Good luck dude!! Sounds very confusing but hope it's the one for you! Also sorry to hear about all the problems you've been having. You should be able to get feedback if you ask for it, there's nothing wrong in wanting to improve or even know why you didn't get it in the first place. As others have said, keep the good spirits up and good things will hopefully happen soon šŸ¤ž
  16. Yeah it's just on PC
  17. Soooo i'm back open for business again, we should make a list of games we want to play and games we'd like to see. I think it's important that as many as possible has a say in this and we get some content onto the forum that we all want to see.
  18. Also i do want to make some videos on this but would like a few of us in first so it's not just me rambling on.
  19. I was completely wrong, Utd didn't come first, unless the FA wants to dock a load of points to the teams above us? šŸ˜¬
  20. I've been playing the newly updated Raft for the last week and i'm loving it but i feel it's missing something and that is you guys! Who fancies joining me for some survival in the ocean? New Features: - They've add bigger islands - New animals, both friendly and enemies - New equipment I got to one of the bigger islands yesterday but damn it's hard to stay alive whilst you're being attacked by loads of animals, land and sky. The game is a weird mixture of being constantly hectic, as you're always having to do stuff to stay alive and really relaxing. I've seen 9 people play on one server but i think you can have as many as you like (i'm sure there's a limit) It's currently Ā£15, i've already sunk (excuse the pun) over 20 hours on this game. It's still early access as well, so there's plenty more for them to add.
  21. Sorry i haven't been on this much lately, my battery on my phone is pretty poop at the moment. Looking to get it changed soon, so will hopefully be back sooner rather than later. Glad to have you on board @Dan94
  22. Nice Phil, sounds like you're sorted for a long time on the storage front
  23. I'll try and watch this later, can only imagine what it's like šŸ˜„
  24. I really enjoyed the first one, hoping this is more of the same open world game with extras. The small random missions like the Predator one were brilliant!

    Rage 2

Iā€™m the same, going to wait for reviews to come in first. It does look promising.
