This feels like a proper expansion pack, and I've not even done half of it. The new missions are excellent, usually I'd moan about reusing old content but the way the story takes us back to where our Ghost initially found us at the beginning of the game is brilliant. Loads of lore and whatnot too. The bounties, although samey samey, aren't bad and a nice addition to the game.
The simplification of armour and weapon upgrades looks like it's going to be good, but I'm yet to delve far enough into that to pass concrete judgement. If nothing else, the ability to trade in all your unwanted junk for something that might actually come to good use is great.
I also like the way that you still have to go to the tower for certain things, keeping it valid. In WoW for example, you go to any of the major cities from previous expansions and they're completely dead. A shame really as they're lovely.
The attention to detail is great too. As frank said, the set designers put in some serious work. I'm not talking about the stuff you're dying all over, but look out of windows and stuff, it's awesome.
One minor fallback which isn't too big but still one of my biggest annoyances in this game is that all the new bad guys are basically revamped models of existing stuff. Shanks are shanks, the walker is a walker, everything else is everything else. I must however concede that they added some nice touches which go a small way to appeasing me, and that's variety in the models, like sniping and exploding shanks.
Another small annoyance which is again 100% down to my personal taste, is that annoying voice of the new narrator. Can someone give the guy a fucking lozenge?
Still got a bit of content to do. It's a shame we didn't get a raid but then I haven't been in Trials yet so don't really know how far to take that statement. Really looking forward to the new PVP as well.
So far I'm impressed.
