So Rahool finally gave me a legendary weapon from a legendary engram today He gave me a legendary rocket launcher. I already have an exotic rocket launcher. F**k you Rahool

Finally got my hands on a nice solar sniper rifle...was able to solo the weekly strike on level 26 with that bad boy.

New patch, coming next week. The 1.0.2 patch will go live next week, and includes several changes to the Cryptarch and Engram experience. These changes guarantee that Engrams will always decode into items at or above the quality of an engram. Only Engrams that drop after 1.0.2 are subject to this change. Cryptarch Changes  Cayde-6 took the Cryptarch aside and showed him a sack of doorknobs. He decoded that mystery pretty quickly. Legendary Engrams will always produce Legendary or better quality items, including Materials or Exotics Rare Engrams will always produce Rare or better quality items Rare engrams will have an increased chance to produce Legendary quality items Activity Changes Daily Heroics, Weekly Heroics, and Vanguard: Tiger Playlist activities will include Rare and Legendary Engrams in addition to their existing rewards Item Changes Ascendant materials have been promoted to Legendary to closer associate them with the gear they are used to upgrade Legendary Engram items that exist in your inventory will be demoted to Rare quality when the patch goes live, so decode them while you can. I took a punt on Wasteland 2 the other day and it's a brilliant game; even better than I was expecting. It's not the best looking title but it's incredibly addictive and fun to play. The story and missions are really enjoyable and the level of character building and customisation is really deep and detailed. Choices you make can have a massive impact on the narrative which adds depth in a genre which has become more linear and simple these days with the likes of Diablo 3. The turn-based battles are a bit ropey, unpredictable and sometimes frustrating but this is a minor complaint. Some battles rely on tactics and are thrilling to play and great to win. Everything else is very satisfying and fantastic to get hooked on. It's not really a pick up and play game; it's complex, hard to master and requires a lot of thought on how to accomplish scenarios. There is lots of intertwining events across several locations and plenty of information on factions and people to take in but if you can absorb all of that and keep on top of your squad and the missions; it makes for a staggeringly detailed RPG. A must buy if you're interested peeps!

Mkay, Rich and I are meeting in the AM somewhere near Earl's Court. Quick brekkie and go in. Spoke to him earlier and he's sick as a dog but like Stretch, wasn't going to sit with my whining if he didn't make it. Phil and his GF are meeting us at 1ish, at which point we'll go for a pint and then go in as his ticket starts from 2pm. Stretch is meeting us at 16:30-17:00. A year wasn't enough notice so he didn't get a ticket, but is coming for a drink afterwards and then staying at mine. I've also just bought a bottle of Jaegermeister and some Red Bull together with a case of beer, a case of cider and lots of snacks n shit in case we end up at here. In the News section of the App there's a note from the developers about what changes they are making and why. Really quite impressive the support they are giving. Expect auto rifles to get less accurate at range and my scout rifle to get a boost (yes), liking that!

They sound like they might patch Rahool as well. Make him less of a bitch

Yes it was, line graphics, very rare missions, just grinding out life as a starship pilot, smuggling, bounty hunting, legal trading, one of the great games. Probably outshone by Destiny now

I can't believe the negativity around this announcement. People (zombie fanboys) all over social media are almost in tears and threatening to cancel their pre-order because it's survival!? Jesus; the co-op is just a bonus IMO; I buy the game for the MP primarily and to play the campaign once. I'm not really worried about the co-op aspect as long as it's fun with friends. Why people are going apeshit before they've even seen a gameplay is crazy. This has the potential to be the best COD in years and people still aren't happy! Too many idiots hyping themselves up for zombies thinking it would be and now they feel the ultimate betrayal? Morons!

What a fucking mess! The 'Queue' and 'Curators' sections are completely unnecessary and take up a large chunk of the page and the blue colour scheme is gross. Far too much stuff cramped in on the main page and everything looks and feels confusing. I'm also getting recommended games I already own FFS. They've really ballsed this up!

I hate it when supermarkets change where their stock is stored and when I go to the cat food shelves I find myself looking at baked beans. It's worse when they change the store layout and I turn a corner expecting an aisle only to walk into a precariously balanced display. Steam you bastard, if you're going to change something make sure it works, please. Having said that I've only given the new Steam page a cursory glance so I guess this'll be my knee-jerk reaction

I've always preferred to search Steam in a web browser so I can utilize tabs. Having the option to view only one page at a time should have been addressed in the program. It's a glorified web browser to begin with. One thing I noticed that I enjoy better is searching for titles. They don't have the "view 10 more" bullshit that always reloaded or rearranged games when you would go back to it, part of my no tab gripe, now when you go back it brings you back to the list and its in order from where you left off! They should allow you to X out of or collapse the 'Queue', 'Curators' etc... sections. Also having the ability to rearrange the store page would be cool. I'd prefer to see the | Popular New Releases | Top Sellers | Upcoming | Specials | section on top. They could incorporate a week long deals tab and I wouldn't need anything else on the store page. I'd rather the program let me think about what I want instead of trying to think for me and suggest 500 things I dont care about. Steam is like listening to Pandora now. You pick one thing and it plays/suggests 50 other things you don't want to hear/see. Like the Fresh Prince of Bel Air song when I want to listen to the Deftones. It's cool they're trying to change it up a bit. Wonder if they ever entertained user suggestions or if they just had some hippie egghead marketing research company tell them the color blue puts people in the spending mood and suggest thinking for the customer is the best option because they're too dumb to do it for themselves. Like cars that break and alert you you can't drive.
