  1. I play in closed crew sessions so there's no pricks that can join... Except for Euan, Cal, Ste, Glen and the rest of the crew.

  3. So this is a new series I'm going to be doing when I can record. The overall winner will be decided when we can't play GTA anymore. So be prepared for a lot of videos to be posted in this thread

  7. You can always rely on the gaming community to act like a bunch of 5 year olds and exploit every cheap tactic in the game to get kills. These are almost always the same people that will literally watch their team lose but not move from their spot in case they get killed. These are the ones who sit on rooftops, prone, aimed at elevators. The ones who also sit on rooftops with noobtubes and spam the hell outta them. I realise that we all have our moments, but when you spend about 10 games in a lobby and the same people are on the roof, every single time, you're just a dick. There are also those who choose to use aimbots, I've seen these in action myself and have researched them - you can get them for $20 a month. Unbelievable. The game hasn't even been released yet, but gamers have found a way to fuck it all up for others. Given the intelligence level displayed by these people, I can only imagine that their most used phrase in life is "mommy can I have more milk?" or "would you like fries with that?", which is what gives me hope. This game ain't cheap, so I'm hoping that once the paid release comes out, that we lose some of these idiots who display every single kind of bad sportsmanship purely to get that extra kill or deliberately try and irritate people. On the flipside though, if they managed to get a PC that can run this, then odds are they can afford the game... we'll just have to wait and see.

  10. That is a hard place to be for you. I know you said you hate her, but we only have one family and even though we may not approve of or even like some of them at times, they are family and I could never actually "hate" my family. Tommy touched on the one thing I was going to say as well, and that is you can't help people that don;t want help. I hate to quote a movie in a serious discussion like this, but there is actually one of my favorite quotes in a movie I dearly love (A River runs through it) where the Dad whom is a Rev says the following during a sermon which I believe to be very true when it comes to family... Pretty much sums up my feelings when it comes to issues like this. Don't give her money, don't make things easy for her to countinue the life she has chosen, but don't hate her either because she is family, and there is always a chance that someone may change at some point in their lives. Just my .02

  11. Wow man, that's a really tough situation. Especially the part about your dad helping with your son. That's tricky. Have you ever talked to your mom about it? I wish I had some advice for you. I'm just hoping to learn something so I can deal with my brother better. He's the same way. From my experience, people like that are very hard to help. You can't help them because they don't want help. They want to live their lives without consequences. These types of people seem like they've always been babied by a parent or grandparent. My brother has always been bailed out of trouble by my entire family. He's the baby of the family, so they've always looked after him. He's never learned how to deal with the consequences of his shit choices because he always has a safety net. They become dependent on everyone else and never learn how to grow up. At least that's how my brother is.

  13. This is exactly the issue I'm having with FPS games these days. People play like assholes. They ignore the objective, use every cheap tactic they can to kill you, and there isn't a damn thing you can do about it. Sure, you could climb up the ladder onto the roof, but you can't convince them to play the objective, and I don't want to stoop to their level by using cheap tactics myself. I realize that if somebody buys the game, they have the right to play however they want to, but I don't have to play it with them. MOBAs like Dota 2 and League of Legends don't have that problem. Once in a blue moon, you'll come across a troll teammate that intentionally feeds the enemy, and you'll run into an asshat teammate that insults you for playing poorly. But as a whole, your team plays to win. They don't play for some montage clip, they don't ignore the objective and killwhore. And in games like Dota 2, there aren't game mechanics that can be abused, because the entire game is designed to be competitive. When the only difference in a game between playing casually and playing competitively is how well you play and how seriously you take winning, that game becomes one worth playing. I may look into the competitive Defuse game mode that Battlefield 4 releases with, but I have no interest in any other game mode because I'm sick of the bullshit that comes with them. /rant

  19. Noo, that doesn't matter to me. What matters to me is the things i'm interested in. For example, we're on this gaming forum and if I read about Call of Duty or Destiny, all those tweets do matter to me, so I read them - not just for me, but for you guys too. It's all about who you follow, as I'm sure you know. I will read World News and go "Hm, that sucks" and not click the link, but if I read my local news it has a much greater impact on me and I'll most likely read it. I try to follow who I think will interest me with news and if they get boring then I simply unfollow. Ultimately, I read for you guys and to pass my time. It's not my life or anything like that. As for my personal Twitter, it was me following funny jokes - reading them at night to get a laugh, along with the news, and a few gaming sites. I tried the whole tweeting thing for just me, but I can't get into it. I don't see the point. I don't know how some people have 15,000 tweets. I think those people need to be evaluated. lol

  20. Yea, but do you really need the news that fast? Or has it become another addiction like so many other things. I guess I am like Doc in that, if I need to know something, then email or call me.

  21. I have teenage daughters and as such they watch TV channels relevant to them so sometimes when I turn the TV on I come across these "shows" on this subject. Now I'm not sure if its just Americans that do this but all the shows are from america, IMO some of it could be considered child abuse, I saw 2 parents earlier the father was holding up this 3/4 year old girls arms while the mother applied fake tan to her daughter with what looked like a paint roller all the time the child was screaming. Now if I'd have been there I would have had to have said something. So I just wondered as there's a wide range of nationalities and age groups on this forum what others thought of this?

  26. Its not the attention whoring so much as the stupid that turns me off to people on Facebook. Casual racism, extreme political views, mindless passing on of chain "like this or Jesus will kill your puppy" or urban legend BS posts, etc. I've had people who are fine with me and my wife in person talk about how evil Muslims are, etc. They would never say that shit in my real life presence, not sure why its ok online. It tells you what people really think, though, when they don't have the social stigma of being an asshole in person to hold them back.

  27. My wife ended real friendships with people because of facebook. She couldn't believe how stupid some of these people were so I can understand. Seems like a lot of people want to be mini celebrities no matter what the cost to their dignity. Also if something frustrates the hell out of you, why do it.

  29. Ya know, I actually not only left this thread the other day without looking back, but the site as well. Not that this thread made me leave, but I'm kind'a in the midst of "thinning down" all my internet and social media stuff is all. Because I am sick of this "tech life" and don't care to keep feeding it. Anyway... today I had computer issues and after coming back here I started talkin to Dave, then seeing you actually had the respect to not even Not reply after I posted Dangle, and the fact you didn't reply after what I said to you, that really made me actually respect you a bit more to be honest....I feel the need to come back here and apologize to you. I still don't like what you said, but ya know we all think/feel different about stuff so I wont hold that against you and hope you wont hold anything against me

  31. Reminds me of a story. Remember the "things your dad taught you" thread? Remember I said "Never take Eddie to town" on that one? Yeah, same Eddie. I worked as a laborer on a construction site in my teens. My dad and Eddie were both experienced carpenters. There were several other guys, many that I never learned the real names of, but the one of note for this story was Thomas J. Turdbucket, Esq. I have no idea why they called him that, but that was what everyone on the site called him. Tommy Turdbucket or Tommy for short. Tommy spent the majority of his pay on weed and didn't have a car, so Eddie took him back and forth to work. As such Tommy was familiar with Eddie's truck and where Eddie kept things. Anyone who's worked outside in the Indiana weather knows that in the fall and spring the weather can swing quite a bit, temperature wise, from morning to night. Eddie kept a sweatshirt behind his seat in case it got too cool and he hadn't dressed for it. Well, one day Tommy got cold and decided he'd had enough being cold so he went to Eddie's truck to get the sweatshirt. This would have been comical enough, as about 3.25 Tommies can fit inside one Eddie. Tommy comes back to the site and yells out, "Hey, Eddie. I borrowed your sweatshirt." Eddie is on the other side of the house hanging brick freeze and can't see Tommy. Eddie, "The red one or the gray one?" Tommy, "The gray one." Eddie, "....that's my wipe rag." Tommy, ".....what's a wipe rag? Like for oil?" At this point we all look over and see Tommy in a gray sweatshirt with...chalky stripes on it. Eddie, "No, for like when I pick up some whore and need to clean my dick afterward. You didn't put it on, did you?" Tommy now doesn't know weather he should shit or go blind. He desperately wants it off, but doesn't want to touch the outside again to pull it off. Tommy, " *random spluttering* WIPE YOUR DICK??? *random spluttering*" and runs back toward Eddie's truck. I'm not sure why. He apparently gets the shirt off in some fashion and comes back pissed at Eddie for "being a dirty motherfucker who leaves a dick wipe rag in his truck." Eddie points out that Tommy should have asked to borrow the shirt before going into his truck in the first place and he can kindly shut the fuck up about it or walk home that day. Tommy shut the fuck up.

here are my cats, Fat Fat and Fuzz Fuzz. My son named them both, Fat Fat is mine and Fuzz is my wife's Side by side, although not really. I don'thave a good side by side comparison of the two cats, but Fattie is about 2x as big as Fuzzie Goddamn banana! Get away from my Box! (Seriously, Fattie hates bananna's, you put one near him and he beats the crap out of it. If I leave one on the counter, he will jump up, knock it off, and then get back down. He gets yelled at whenever he is on the counter, so he hates banana's to teh point that he risks me yelling at him in order to kill them) This cushion is mine, get your own. This is where I sleep. Also, Fattie is about 25 lbs, but is solid and really healthy acording to the vet. Other than his Male Udder from when he got his nuts cut, he isn't fat at all.

  35. It's about fucking time. To be honest I think that the whole dedi servers thing was an ace that Activision was keeping in their sleeve for a rainy day. Dedi servers have always been possible. They'd probably have to have a community funded model like BF, but saying it wasn't possible before this is just flat out wrong. If you ask me, the reason we're seeing this now is because CoD is losing ground. People lost interest in BO2 faster than any other CoD to date. BF4 is bringing the fight right to their door, then there are other titles like Destiny which are also going to want people's cash. If someone only gets one game for Xmas, they'd have to think wisely about what they want. Whereas previous years it could've been CoD right off the bat, there is now too much competition to simply rest on those laurels. This is why we're now seeing dedicated servers. Not because of technological adcances, but because Activision needs to play every single card they have in order to hold their ground, and they know it.
