I was standing at an "altar" at a chapel in Vegas. How she's managed to put up with me for five whole years is beyond me, she's an angel that lady. Best thing ever to happen to me was meeting my wife. If it wasn't for her, I'd be dead, in prison or rehab. We're not doing a big anniversary thing this year, we've instead committed ourselve sto getting debt free and buying a house so we're just chilling with some films and I'm going to cook a nice dinner for the two of us tonight. I had not thought about this lately till I spoke to a friend in Co tonight whom had his left lung removed because of cancer (from smoking) and yet get this, he STILL smokes even during chemo and radiation treatments (yeah I gave him hell for that ) anyway that conversation made me think of something I have not even thought of recently about myself.... 3 more weeks and it will be two and a half years since I quit smoking! I still remember posting on the old MW2 forum about the week I quit Hard to believe it's been over two years! Outside of quitting drinking (recovering alcoholic) quitting smoking was the best decision I ever made.

Attention you scallywags! As you may have seen but also probably not, We are starting a Forever Gaming YouTube account. As we're not tied to a certain genre by our forum tile anymore, this extends an olive branch of sorts. Now all gameplay from all games is welcome. This ties in nicely with the release of GTA V soooooooooo...............I gots an idea. "Community Runs" The idea for this is you start your video by gaining your 1st star in the wanted level. You then proceed to fight it out with these bastards and do whatever you want. Rules: 1 - You CANNOT be arrested. Only cocks get arrested in GTA. 2 - You CANNOT use cheats. 3 - The forumers run should end in either death, or escape. 4 - In order to end your video by ways of escape, you MUST have a minimum wanted level of 4. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So there you have it. Let me know what you think, and let me know if you think there should be additional rules. Can't wait to see peoples thoughts. *EDIT!* This thread doesn't mean that this is the only series we'll be doing, Series suggestions are most welcome so please spit at us.......respectively.

Banner looks tits, but not being centered is driving me nuts. If that's intentional then I'll adapt, if not and you lack the know how to fix it, I know enough CSS/HTML to be moderately dangerous. We need a rant thread. I'm easily aggravated as I have no patience for anything. Share your mental struggles and share ways in which people may improve upon themselves. EG: Watched a rant clip Sunday morning of a guy telling everyone born after 1980 that "No problem" given as an answer to something that does not pose a problem in the first place is annoying and to please respond with "you're welcome". This is a transcript of the clip: here. My gripe: I was asked to update a 2 page catalog spread that hasn't been updated for 11 years. It's been the same since I've been here. So I spent unnecessary time updating both pages. I sent them to my co-worker so he could forward it to the client. They write back a nasty e-mail about a misspelling, wording is all wrong, etc.. etc... So in 11 fucking years not 1 retard form their company even bothered to look at the pages? If its a pick up from previous years I'm not reading it. On top of all that it's passed preflight quality control at printers for years with the "misspelling". I had an International English dictionary for spell check at one time and it liked to change Z's to S's and S's to Z's. So a Z is a S. It's the same fucking thing! I'm glad I deleted my e-mail signature before I sent the e-mail because if that dude calls me and cops an attitude I'm going to berate him.

Right, now that I'm content with the way the forum looks, I'm going to start investigating and researching the next stages of my plan. First off, I want a "portal", which will be the vanilla URL, with the forum probably moving to www.forevergaming.co.uk/forum The portal will direct to different parts of the site. A few ideas I have is a blog, written by gamers for gamers. I'll be recruiting people to write for that too, so if you think you have what it takes, I'll give you your own page and you can write down whatever you want. Another option I'll be investigating is a shop. I'd like to start selling things like shirts, mugs, stickers, keychains, all that kind of thing. Would you purchase anything like that? I'll also be appealing to you guys to design some stuff for this. This isn't to make money, but rather just for the hell of it, and it's promotion, something we need to start doing. Another idea I've got is to host some servers. I'll probably start off with a Minecraft server (Feed The Best to be exact) and if it takes off, move on from there, perhaps a DayZ server or even a BF4 server, if there's enough demand. I'll also need someone to set up a FG Youtube channel, which I might monetize to help cover the hosting fees for servers and whatnot. These are just a few ideas, throw in some feedbak please. Not just "sounds good" but actual feedback. This will be a massive project on top of my work and private life so if I'm to go ahead with it, I'll need people I can rely on to help out and I'll need to be 100% sure of what I / we want before going ahead as I don't want to go to al lthis effort only for it to be a waste. Thoughts?

Just hopped off after a ~9 hour session, I just started the Trevor missions but decided it was time for a break since I have school in the morning. Anyway, this game is amazing! So much fun, it looks beautiful, the cars and handling are great! The fully customisable clothes, hairstyles, tattoos and cars are a welcomed return. The three main characters are all interesting but, even more so, I have already met many side characters that are just as entertaining or aggravating. IF there has been one down side it would be the fact that for how big the map is, the city is quite small in comparison. It has been a long time coming but finally it looks like a GTA game will be able to reach and surpass the greatness of San Andreas. EDIT: Also, the 3 character system has been really awesome so far. It adds a whole new dynamic to the series and makes missions a lot more enjoyable. I can't wait to see how much more it evolves in the later missions

Comms would be a bonus too. And be funny, none of this boring shit. Good idea Calvert!

So.........I got a lend of my friend which allowed me to get the game last night at 12:30am and was playing it by 1:20am (thanks mostly to the walk home with the lads) Took about 20-25 minutes to install 8 and a half GB of data so that wasn't too bad. There's no boring tutorial here in this paradise, only an explosive one so you get straight into the action. The shooting feels solid and the snap to target is a godsend (dunno if I couldn't aim due to lack of sleep or what but it helped me xD) The driving..............takes a bit of getting used to but once you get to grips, you'll never be able to go back to GTA IV. I haven't properly met Trevor yet but Franklin would be my favourite character right now. Will post more as I progress through the game.

I agree with Datte, the forever seems to cover up a bit too much of the gaming in my opinion. Maybe if it could slightly be rotated so the left side moves further up the A or raise the whole word itself up. In general though, I really like the design.

So, and this is an honest question. On Console does FPS really matter all that much? CoD is 60, and at times I despise the motion and frantic nature of the camera BF3 runs at 30, and I have never had an issue. So why does it matter all that much.
