How bad is it? According to IT security pros, really bad.

A list from the leaks showing what Twitch channels had the highest income revenue from the last 2 years. You have to absolutely put the hours in but if you can break the algorithm, boy it does pay out.

This is why donations should go to charities instead of making rich people even richer. It's insane money really.

They're subs aren't they though rather than donations? I agree that rich shouldn't get richer..although i'm sure many of these people weren't millionaires before they started streaming...most probably the opposite!

This is sub an ad revenue, and does not count donations as those are processed third party (i.e. paypal).

There's certainly worse ways of making a living 😁 so I say good luck to them

Totally, these dudes are streaming 70 hours a week, making merch campaigns, social media you name it. They're entertainers and work for it.

That's what I mean - viewers donating to streamers who are already making £50,000 a week from just subs alone - streamers should make all donations go towards charities instead because 99% of them also have lucrative sponsorships on top. I remember reading last year that some top-tier ones sometimes get paid upwards of $60,000 by major publishers just to feature their game for a 4 hour stream.  Funnily enough some of the smaller streamers have donation limits and run frequent charity streams but Twitch is plagued with these champagne socialists who exude poverty and then go and buy $3m houses after guilting their audience.

I think a lot of people will regret blowing so much money on these streamers later in life especially the likes of Pokimane fans🤣

All down to a configuration change, apparently.

It's taken a long ass time to get to this point. I remember when I told people that I wanted to start a Youtube channel and all I got was "get a proper job" - nowadays a decent youtuber earns 10x what I do. It takes some serious dedication, time and the will to cancel everything else in your life to get there but the payout is worth it if you can pull it off.

Also, get an avatar, you look like a random.

How's MiniRob?

It's really common for the general public to think of content creators as just people who sit in a chair and play games all day. They don't understand editing videos, photoshop skills for thumbnails and stream assets, brand management and trying to secure sponsors outside of all of this!

There are two mini-rob's now! (A 6 and 4 year old!) They're doing great!
