It is quite a challenge to drive in the wet in this game. It's very tough but I like it.

I expect they're testing how it goes so far and working out how to do it on other tracks. I did a bit of a daily race last night instead just to try and get back into the swing of things on it. At least i worked out i need another new controller. Fucking triggers 😭

I do like the daily races, they’re generally clean and close racing.  As for the rain though, I found it a bit odd.  Obviously I have no real experience of race cars in the wet but they didn’t seem as slippery as I expected.

If you were getting wet in Arcade mode, the track is not realistic.

The arcade mode has a setting which makes the track easier to drive. It's an automatic setting always on in arcade mode.

If you set up a custom race, you'll get the real thing. It's about a 7 second difference lap time wise.

There’s been several updates since this thread, most notably the addition of Spa.  There was a leaked image of Laguna Seca which has now apparently been confirmed 😄

 

Laguna Seca is one of those iconic tracks so its brilliant that it is being added to GT Sport.
