M.I.A- Spring

Looking for spring, if anyone knows of it's where abouts please return it back to Michigan....we miss it.

 

3 weeks ago we had 72f weather here for a few days. Now it's been 20's-30's, was supposed to go up to the cabin on the first Steelhead fishing trip of the year (supposed to be there right now) but we had to postpone it for about 2 weeks because of over a foot of snow up at the cabin today.

I shit you not, I saw someone mowing yesterday morning with a light snow on the ground. Big ass tractor cutting that shit, snow and all.

Bit then again we didn't have snow until about January 10th which is also pretty unusual

Same here. This time last year we were basking in the sun but this year we're still wearing woollies and hats, it's ridiculous.

Gotta disagree here Dave...it's a bit erratic but I think Spring is just about here. Temperatures high single/low double figures during daytime. Seeds in the unheated greenhouse are germinating. Shallots are breaking through outside. Spring flowers like daffodils, tulips, etc are flowering (again)...bloody weeds are growing

This time last year was just plain wrong and you should still be wearing woolies....old saying "Cast ne'er a clout til May is out"

I have to agree with Dave 2 I don't think it's bad for this time of year as a few years back we had snow in April.

Yeah today in london felt like a spring day, a bit of sunshine followed by a bit of rain followed by a bit of sunshine and then some thunder and lightning on the way home from work. Definitely Spring weather. I was expecting hailstones to round it off but it's sunny again now. 

 

Over a foot of snow however is definitely not Spring

Same here Tommy. Started sleeting when I got up at 8am, then turned to rain, then mid day it snowed like crazy for about 30 mins, then sun poped out for about 10 mins, then cloudy as hell right before dark. Only thing missing were locust
