I tried the UFL demo, it wouldn't ever connect to servers. So I think EA are doomed to reign supreme a little while longer 🤣

After the success of Rocket League, I'm surprised someone hasn't done something like this sooner. Definitely has potential and the developers have made a name for themselves previous.

Everything is going around again, in some ways why Indie 2D games are thriving too. For far too long we havem't had enough arcade-esque sports games, especially in football. Sometimes too much realism is a turn off. This looks decent and pretty fun to try out.

There seems to be a beta phase and you can sign up, I just did. Worth a try for everyone here i'm sure:

There was a beta weekend nearly 2 weeks ago for console. I was away so couldn't try it out. Did anyone else try it at all?

It definitely looks like one of those games you could play for an hour just to pass the time. Similar to Rocket League feeling. Its not a game you'd play all night, but I think thats a good thing its not targeted to be anything that it isn't.

I did not try it but a friend of mine did, he had glowing things to say about it. That said I don't know if some of the current hype may partly down to people's frustrations with Fifa (I will continue to call it so). To me this is a better version of Rush, Pro clubs is great because of the numbers we can include but when you only have 3 or 4 (5 in this instance) sometimes you want something simpler and this could give us that.

I have every intention of picking this up, you can't buy many games at launch for only £20 and let's be honest we don't need a lot of game time on it to get our money's worth! I feel it could be the game to scratch the itch when we sometimes jump on, on a Sunday evening and things like that and we can keep our Monday's (or pick a new day) for our larger groups.
