DayZ getting a new map?

There's mooted to be a new map about to drop soon, among order stuff happening at a forthcoming DayZ event. A winter map in Norway possibly but really no-one knows yet.

 

Plus all owners of DayZ who never bought the previous dlc map, Livonia, are being given it for free.

It's nice to have a new map but it's going to cost around 30 quid when there's already plenty of free maps already via mods....but yeah I'll likely pick it up.

£30 is nuts for an expansion. £15 tops I'd say. Bohemia treating it like it's a new release so they can get that sweet ass pay day.

I think the kicker for me is if the new map comes with new items, accessories or in-game activities you can get involved with. A new map is nice to explore new scenery for a game or two, but if we are doing the same without being able to develop maybe perhaps base building in greater detail, new people will struggle to get involved like they already do today. As you say Phil, its just another skin that people will want to add mods to it.

It's all good, they're preparing new ways to needlessly and annoyingly kill you via the environment from what i understand, plus trench foot I believe.

 

But yeah there's other maps available to play for free so I hope they don't really charge 30 quid, I bought the original game for 15 sovs on day one lol

The new map is about to drop. I've heard it's quite a ball ache and you need to light a fire every 30 minutes to stop from freezung but I'll likely give it a go.

Have I always missed the fact you can light a fire in a house? Thats most likely way warmer then outside! 😅
