So Sony are developing eaebuds for the PS5. I think this would be pretty cool, rather than having the headset, but for some of us it might be easy to lose them when throwing headsets in frustration 😂😂😂

I use Sony earbuds and they're fantastic. Would be cool if they could fit them into the controller 🎮 for storage or something futuristic like that.

I like them but unfortunately for me I have dodgy ears so had to stop using ear buds. Not sure if anyone remembers but back on the ps3 I used to have one of these bad boys -

 

 

Like I don't mind headsets and such but when it's just gaming with people online I am quite happy with something just for game chat and then the game audio to still come out the tv or something ^_^

I suspect the earbuds will just be for the sound and the in-controller microphone will be used in connection with it.

I had this Logitech official Xbox 360 one and it was absolutely awesome! Just had to chuck my old one away after sorting through my gaming stuff and seeing that the foam cover had disintegrated 😅

 

 

 

I really like the way they look @Antpool84, thanks for sharing! Does anyone worry that you would lose some surround sound with them though? I feel thats where headphones give that overall 360 degrees sound, which is so important in many games and would want some confidence these did at least the same sound output before thinking about purchasing.

I have to agree with you, when you have the headset on it gives you that immersion into the game as it blocks off a lot of the outside sound, so they would need to offer this too
