Hello! Welcome! You can call me "La"... and yup, I'm in my 30's lol. Been playing video games since I was basically born. Originally had some consoles but those were for exclusives and for some other games. I was always a PC gamer at heart, as I used to build PCs with my dad. Our Christmas gifts were usually PC parts lol.

 

There are some other women gamers here in FG. @Rumelylady  is one of them too.

 

What do you like to play? For social stuff, you'll catch me on with everyone in Destiny 2. I'll probably start getting back into Valheim (we have 2 servers in FG)... and I'll probably poke around in 7 Days to Die (FG has its own server).

 

For what I truly and really enjoy? Strategy games. RPGs. Basically anything really story driven with choices. I could talk all day about Mass Effect and Dragon Age. For other games, Final Fantasy will always have a place in my heart. I would love it if Pikmin would continue. I have also spent hundreds of hours in games like Civilization, Endless Legend, Humankind.

Congrats on your jab! @TurboR56Mini and I got our second Pfizer on 5/28. The first shot didn't really affect either of us with the exception of the sore arm, but that's common with injections if anyone actually remembers what it was like getting vaccines as a kid and their flu shots.

 

The second one just left us tired, but nothing more. We went to bed earlier than normal that night.

 

Here's hoping that the UK keeps trending lower with cases!

@TurboR56Mini  and I loved Dark Matter. I legit did not want to watch the last half season when I found out it was cancelled. It was well known that Dark Matter had a storyline intended for 5 seasons.

 

At least Killjoys was able to finish their story.

Honestly, I legit hate how most TV shows are owned by mindless American shops. Because American shops don't know how to not do anything that isn't a procedural show. Look at all the fantastic shows that got ported to the US, whether it's anime or not. Sherlock was amazing. Luther was amazing. Most people's cult favorite anime shows are freaking mini-series (Parasyte, Death Note, Clannad, Elfen Lied, etc).

 

Tell the story. Have a beginning, middle, and end. Don't waste studio money on filler BS. Look at the Watchmen mini-series or Lovecraft Country. 

 

I find it hilarious that people will praise these well-produced stories, grab everyone's attention, yet American studios are still "nah... we're terrified of telling an actually good story within a timeframe."

 

Supernatural was a 5 season story. I stopped watching around season 11... and seasons 7 onwards were infuriating.

Agree.. but at least it's some competition for Disney. Disney's MO (more ramped up now) has always been to buy whatever they aren't producing if it looks worth it. Going to bet that Disney was bidding on MGM as well, but they didn't see enough possible profit to outbid Amazon.

 

Disney seems to own everything, and if they don't, they are probably looking to buy it. At least Amazon can attempt to compete.

Try doing this from a PC... because it just makes it less frustrating. Let me know how far you get. Go through the support options. Pick the game and platform.

It's just with COVID, like @GazzaGarratt says, it would suck to find something, get it all done.. then terrible things happen and we lose our deposit.
